Shotamagee
now its -3 for you (that's right isn't it BH-21?)

Jet Badger fell two places on Suzuka which is only a loss of two points. If you mean net loss due to his mistake then he lost 3. This is racing, things happen, they would happen more often if everyone didn't try to drive two perfect laps. Its the reason I got shut out in week 2 as I only made on pass on each track.

To be honest, I have no idea what the heck is going on, I'm going to find out

Its simple, Jet Badger got his times for Grand Valley and Suzuka switched around last week. Times submitted to me are final, so I can't improve Jet Badgers Grand Valley time. His Suzuka time though is impossible for his car and Shotamagee was going to make a formal challenge to that time when Jet Badger stepped up and agreed to the ruling of the Sunday Cup Course Offical (Me :)). His Suzuka time was changed to what it should have been, which dropped him two places in the standing for that track, and changed the points and money for Car-less, Shotamagee and Jet Badger for Week9.

I'm transferring 1,509 CR to GrumpEone for a Turbine Kit: Stage 1 and because he helped paint my car along with SVX (Free lance painter).

My time for this week is in,

Open Bal: $6212
New Parts-
Sports Exhaust: $1600 (300 - 315 HP)
Wing: $1200
Sports Suspension: $3200
Oil Change: $50

Total: $6050
Balance: $162

Having just done the top gear comp (Honda Z Act around Opera Paris), the Mazda felt speedier than normal when I jumped back in it.
With the way the car now handles due to all the parts on it, it's become more important to get a banker time I can rely on in case my 2nd and/or 3rd runs are no good. That happened this week, I did my first run, which I was pretty happy with. But when I pushed harder on the next runs instead of going faster I just made more mistakes, and with the car not being as forgiving near its limits anymore, those mistakes now cost more time (on the track and at the panel beaters after-woods).

Time's in.

Thanks, BH-21!!! That puts me at 4,600 even, right??
If so...
Upgrades:
Turbine Kit: Stage 1 (from HKS) - 4,600 CR

Yep 4,600 right on the dot. I probably should of sent 1,510 to leave 1 Cr in your accout, but since there are only six drivers now everyone places anyways.

Yeah now down to zero, I guess I'll be hanging outside the local party store begging for change. "excuse me, could you spare some change, for my Clutch upgrade?"

I was facing three Lotus Esprits, THREE. A 2002 V8, an SE and the 350

And my Subaru proved how much of a pain in the butt it can be, it's so passionate for finding the nearest wall or non racing line areas.

Times are in

Parts this week
Turbo stage 2: 13,500
Sports Exhaust 1,600

My Subie now puts out 378 HP or something ridiculous :)

Endurance Circuit Season Championship

Welcome to the Endurance Circuit the Season Championship of the Sunday Cup. It has been a long season to get to this point. First we had to France and the track at Sarthe where we will race two versions one with and one without the cicanes on the long straight. From there we proceed to Germany and the longest and most challenging course in the entire season the course at Nurburgring Nordschleife. Who will be the Sunday Cup Season Champion.

Gentlemen to your cars. Start your engines! Let us begin!

** Events Info **

Use a difficulty of 3 for the Family Cup Event when you race it. You may run the Event a maximum of 3 times and chose the best of the three. The Season Championship will be run different then previous weeks. It will be open ended and not tied to a weekly cycle. Each track will be run seperately with reporting and results posting as soon as all times are submitted and processed. Following the results of one race the next one will be held and so on until all three have been finished. Drivers may perform normal activities between each race like purchasing parts and cars and selling cars.

I like the look at this week, it would have been more fun to take in something that isn't my Subie, I mean as soon as the seasons over I'm selling the damn thing

I have no chance this week, and not enough time to race, so I will take 3 DNF's to end my season. Congrats to all who participated until the end, and good luck to all of those still in the running.

I second what Grumpy said (on the congrats part, I'm still racing the final round, since it's at my two favourite circuits in the game :)

Ooooh, that's not cool man. It's not right to end a season on a bad note, unless you're Scott Dixon and lost the IRL title on the last lap of the last race due to fuel

Okay GrumpEone's car is having technical difficulties till the season is over.

Remember we are not on a weekly cycle anymore. We can finish this as fast or as slow as you guys turn in times. We get to upgrade in between tracks as well. There are no more weekly outside income rolls either. Every point is worth 500 Cr though.

The last part of the season, but not necessarily week. It depends on how fast we cycle through the last three tracks. Four more entries and we can move on to Sarthe I.

So I will be able to enter at the end of this week (assuming I'll get another invite)?

Race Report:
Thankfully thats over, The AI have been pretty much a non issue until now, but not for this round they weren't. With AI @ +3 I was up against a RUF BTR, TVR Tuscan, Nissan GTR Concept, BMW M5 & Pagani Zonda C12. My submitted run was pretty clean, but the other two had a heap of AI contact (crashes would be a better description).
Anyways first lap, I overtake the Pagani At Tetre Rouge, but it then gets back past me along the Mulsanne, I just manage to stay in its slipstream.
Chaos ensues at the Mulsanne Hairpin (this seems pretty common with the AI) and I get past the TVR & the Pagani on exit and jump into the slipstream of the BMW.
I overtake the BMW under brakes for the fast right kink before Indianapolis, then jump down the inside of the GTR & RUF into the corner itself, the RUF tries to go around my outside and drops into the dirt which holds up the rest of the pack, so I'm free from them for once and try to disappear into the distance.
I finish the lap first, and then exit Tetre Rouge about 3.5 seconds up on the GTR, I know he'll probably catch me down the Mulsanne, which he does just before the Mulsanne Hairpin.
As I'm now in his slipstream for the braking zone I brake a bit too early for the hairpin, and so I exit the corner without being able to re pick up the GTR's draft.
I chase him down over the rest of the lap but can't catch him so I finish 2nd only 0.8 behind.

The race was far from perfect but it was way faster than my other races, as I spun (or very nearly spun) in all the following places, into the Mulsanne Hairpin (AI assisted), into Indianapolis (did that one myself). I've also been rammed into the tyres at Arnage, and finally I also managed to bin it exiting the Ford chicanes. Definitely the most scruffy races I've had so far.

Of course you will get another invite. Like I said though there isn't a fixed time table to this end of season set. Plus we will have a questionaire period, but I've already made a new version of the Sunday Cup for Season Two and a few other surprises.

My parts.
Code:
Racing Chip 1,500

So will the Sunday Cup morph into something like a Clubman Cup?

Isn't the Third Circuit and after that already like the Clubman Cup? Anyways there are several changes made already to Season Two, and probably some more after the questionaire period.

DNF for me. Failed at all 3 attempts. Fist time a Merc rear ended me on the long straight and then did the same again, so I tried a different lineup and crossed my fingers - this time I managed to complete almost half lap when a Viper gone offroad at the first porsche curve and came back on track just in front of me. I hit it.

Okay. Car-less is probably glad to hear this, he will likely pass you in the standings.

If you or anyone isn't going to buy any parts for Sarthe II or for Sarthe I go ahead and drive Sarthe I and we can get that over fairly quickly leaving just Nurburgring.

Oooh, I thought we were only going to be doing one of the endurance tracks. Maybe I could have afforded that stage 2 turbo before the end if I hadn't gone and bought the stage1.

I'll get onto this ASAP so as not to hold up proceedings too much.

@ Jet Badger, were those heavy collisions? I'd normally still submit a time unless I felt the collision would have damaged the car too badly to continue.

...even if I win this one, best I can do is equal Jet Badger before the next track where I suspect he will pull ahead again.

Well, the merc'es bumps weren't probably enough to damage the bumper, but enough to put my car out of control and into the walls (the toyota is horrible at high speeds) :) I'm not too optimistic about Sarthe I - big chance that the same will happen again. I just hope my 1000+ miles on the Nurburgring will pay off.

I think I might have had the same line-up as Jet Badger.

Maybe I'm a little outta sorts what with doing other things this week, but my car was difficult to control, as if I was being buffeted by a strong crosswind all the time. It was lacking power, grip and gears - I found myself hitting the rev limiter at 168mph a couple of times whilst drafting.

So to the competition: There was a Mercedes-Benz that I managed to tap the rear of as I went into Dunlop,
A RUF and a TVR which I was able to pass cleanly soon after getting onto the Mulsanne straight,
A Viper GTS that rammed into the back of me towards the end of the Mulsanne straight,
and an Aston Martin that rubbed doors with me through the Porsche curves.

...and that was the cleanest attempt. The first I failed after getting into a massive pileup at the end of the Mulsanne straight. Only the lead car escaped that mess.
The second failed attempt saw me pushed deep into the sandtrap at Indianapolis by that Viper that I'd passed when he went into the sand at the end of the Mulsanne straight.

Not sure if I'll bother with a rebuild, they'll probably just wreck me again at the next race.
