I'm going to be completely honest... While racing your toy cars can be competitive... It was so short-lived.. why not use a longer route? I mean, it'd be so much more exciting if the cars would be rolling for at least 5 seconds...

Not even in the 12-meter-long track that the club did for the Mexico convention did the cars roll for 5 seconds straight, but it was a lot more exciting to play with because it had enough room to really separate the slowpokes from the cars that were really fast.

For the record, yes, the Faster than Ever wheels ARE faster than normal wheels. We tested many of them and the FTE stuff did come out on top most of the time. Witrh 12 meters to run, I'd say it's a good measuring.

I like that hinged panel that snaps to the top.... I was thinking of another mechanic where your car hits an arm and that drops a wall further down (like 6 inches) on the loser's track so that clearly shows who won, but I guess what you have works too, but what if they collide? They'd jam, wouldn't they?

Keep yourself to exotics, dude. No Boss 302 in that generation Rustang. It's a Boss 351.

Man i wish i knew where mine are from when i was like 5. I had atleast 100ish, most were stock sports cars i loved, not many racecars or fictional cars. Ill post pics if i find them.
And how much does the average car cost? I might wan to start collecting again.

I barely caught a glimpse of the name when I grabbed it. All I knew was, it had a 3-digit number... I don't even know half the muscle cars I get... I just get what I don't have...

Question for clarity:

you're asking people to "take part" of a competition that you and only you run, race and everything else? Other people are picking cars that belong to you and you do all the racing part of it and then post results?

There's absolutely nothing we do except "select a car"?

well I'm just doing this just for fun, people that join can see if the car they picked is fast or good and enjoy watching it
 
Why hasn't anyone requested their chosen vehicle to have repolished axles ? :P Surely that would drastically increase your chance of winning.

while the downhill takes place, I'm gonna show you people yet another wheel swap I performed recently. This took, literally, 15 minutes.

The subject was yet another Motormax, this time a very cool 1940 Ford Panel van that, as the GTO I posted before, suffered from poor wheel choice.

I landed a set of HW Real Riders rubber tires form an axle lot I bought off E-Bay and the result is amazing:

All it needed beside the wheel change was a bit of red in the taillamps and off it goes.

I finally gave in, bought Hot Wheel Vintage Racing Bluebird/510 on toypeddler($8.30 total). So I buy this thing on Saturday from Tennessee, it's here in Oregon today. How is that possible on regular mail? :crazy: I mean I'm happy, but I sure didn't expect to see it today!

I'm thinking about opening it, but I'm afraid it might become worth a lot of money or something. I'm currently in process of selling couple of junk I picked up for nothing, I even forgot I had them, now putting up on eBay for real money. :dopey:

P.S. I also gave in on the A-Team Van. eBay for $3.74 total. 👎:D
 
I got a pretty good score today. I walked out of Wal-Mart with nine cars, including the Vintage Racing BRE 510, the new 458, a red Lancia Stratos from 2001 hidden among the new models, two very sweet Johnny Lightnings and an M2 rusted '49 Mercury. 👍
