Oh no, don't worry, I was being facetious given some of the recent goings on around here (not within this thread though!) and thought I'd have a bit of a giggle with some preposterously long-winded and unfeasible excuses.

(Plus I like to use lots of long words as it confuses Crooooooow! :P)

From my calculations, I have managed to understand every little aspect of your verbally used shenanigans. So don't strain yourself from attempting to fortify me. I will always be the individual on top and understand the pure knowledge of intelligence. :sly: Plus, I think I lost my train of thought while thinking of those last few long words. :sly:

Other than that...

Toyota Supra RZ ‘97: 1:25.173
Toyota Woodone Tom's Supra (JGTC) ‘03: 1:10.396

...I will always be the individual on top and understand the pure knowledge of intelligence...

This sounds like the sort of bad "Engrish" translation you'd find on a Chinese or Japanese product label!

Just getting started on this.

Toyota Supra RZ '97: 1'25.168 More to come though 1'24.872
Toyota Woodone Tom's Supra (JGTC) ‘03: Not driven yet... 1'09.756

At least I'm not the one speaking out my ass. :sly:

Don't push it. 👎
Besides, from where I'm sitting all I'm getting from you is "frrrrrrrppp, ffffffrrrrrrrrppp, fffffrrrrrp, pppfft." ;)
Definitely sounds like your arse, yeah, arse.
Not ass.
An ass is a donkey, and besides not having one, you can't make one talk.
No matter how many times you watch Shrek.
So let's leave the off-topicy nonsense to the side and concentrate on the track.
Perhaps you're mistaking my arse for my exhaust, which, as you're mostly behind me, you'll be hearing quite a lot of?!!! :mischievous:

Ok here are the results for week7.

GT4 Weekly Arcade Time Trial Challenge: Week 8
gran-turismo-4.jpg

This week’s challenge is;

Cobra 427 Week.
The Cobra 427 is one of the most iconic and unique cars that has ever been produced. For this week we'll see how the original British AC 427 S/C stacks up against its American Shelby Cobra variant. The light weight and brutal power these two cars have commands respect, but if driven correctly these cars are a tonne (literally with the Shelby) of fun to drive around in.

Track: Laguna Seca

Primary Car: Shelby Cobra 427 ’67
Transmission: Either
Driving Aids: Off
Tyres: S2 (Sports Medium)
Quicktune: None (Stock)

Optional Bonus Car: AC 427 S/C ‘66
Transmission: Either
Driving Aids: Off
Tyres: S2 (Sports Medium)
Quicktune: None (Stock)
Optional bonus Car Time: For this week, keep the older slightly heavier AC 427 within 2.5 seconds of the Shelby to receive a 1.000 second time bonus.

My Times (so Far)
Shelby Cobra 427 ‘67: 1:31.007
AC 427 S/C ‘66: 1:32.596.

These are the specs the cars should have on the track menu screen just before you start driving;
Shelby Cobra 427 ‘67: HP-484 KG-1068 Tyres-SM (S2’s)
AC 427 S/C ‘66: HP-478 KG-1311 Tyres-SM (S2’s)

You have until Tuesday 27th December 2011 1:00 PM GMT to post your best time(s) in this thread (you can edit/improve them if you wish). All other rules are as per post No1.

Good Luck.

I don't find that funny because I have a stuttering problem, and you have just insulted me. 1/2 of what I stated is true, while the other half is :sly:.

Definitely sounds like your arse, yeah, arse.

I get what you are prating about. I have seen The Vicar of Dibley.

EDIT: My times.

Shelby Cobra 427 ‘67: 1:30.817 EDIT: 1:30.613 I can't seem to shake your time behind my tail Smallhorses.

You have anal stuttering? That's quite nasty. I'd go see a doctor. :sly:

Poor you.
Try watching some good British comedy instead. :P
Oh, and so that your post isn't still totally off-topic you should edit some times into it.

My Times. Here, later. Watch this space...

Shelby Cobra 427 ‘67: 1:30.573
AC 427 S/C ‘66: 1'32.307

Competitions, competitions everywhere.

Enter ALL competitions!

I will edit my post with my times when I get them.

We need more competitors by tomorrow. It's only an eight of the fraction of fun when competing against two competitors. Especially when one of them is Smallhorses.

alright, sure, i'll join in! i'll just wait until the next round though. it's not that long until the time to post your times is up, and I still need to go to bed soon. so, next round, i'm in! :)

I'll be waiting to beat you next week. :sly:

seeing the new challenge isn't posted yet, i'll give it a quick try. i'll edit my times in when i'm done

EDIT: so I ran a few laps, and... I can honestly tell I need some more training with driving without driving aides. my times:

Shelby Cobra 427 ‘67: 1.35.536

AC 427 S/C ‘66: 1.36.161

as you can tell from the times, I am relatively quicker with the AC. less horsepower and more weight makes me quicker I guess

sorry if i ask it here:

just get back my old ps2 and wanted to play gt4 (incoming froma amazon) with my driving force GT the one with the red button built for gt5 on ps3 which is supposed to work also on ps2. Well, i started up the ps2, plugged the wheel, it gets light on and nothing else, no calibration and buttons doesn't work in the ps2 menu. is it normale and it will work when i'll start the game or not?

thanks

Better late than never.

Shelby Cobra 427 ‘67: 1:32.702
AC 427 S/C ‘66: 1'33.309

The AC's got that extra weight in all the right locations.

Well, you should really ask this in a thread within our Sim Racing Hardware section, but I can assure you that: yes, the DFGT will work with PS2/GT4. I know because several people have used that setup at the SFGTP events that I hosted. Your issue sounds distinctly like you a) have the DFGT plugged into the wrong USB port on your PS2, or b) the #1 USB port on your PS2 is toasted. Which model PS2 do you have? Old style fatty or new style slimline? If it's the fatty version, then your wheel should plug into the top USB port for player 1, and if it's the slimline you should be plugged into the lefthand USB port for player 1.

Solved. However thank you for the answer.

Happy new year everyone.

Ok people, sorry about being slack and not posting times at due date (xmas, new years etc). I'll finalize the results for the cobras in approx 14hours and then announce the next round as well.

hey, I don't know if this has ever been brought up, but what about a showdown between one of the Impreza WRX STis against one of the Lancer Evo's? it would be fun to see who actually is the better one from the two (from the older models, the Impreza hatchback sucks so Mitsubishi would win in GT5. and i'm a Subaru fan!)

Ok here are the results for week8.

GT4 Weekly Arcade Time Trial Challenge: Week 9
gran-turismo-4.jpg

This week’s challenge is;

Late 90’s LM GT1.
This week will pit the Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car against the Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR Race Car. Both are the same age and have very similar power and weight values so they should be fairly even. I find both cars to be rather challenging to drive, (esp the Merc) which may go someway towards explaining why neither won the 24 hours of Le Mans, which is what they were both primarily designed to do.

Track: Suzuka

Primary Car: Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car ’98
Transmission: Either
Driving Aids: Off
Tyres: R2 (Racing Hard)
Quicktune: None (Stock)

Optional Bonus Car: Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR Race Car ’98
Transmission: Either
Driving Aids: Off
Tyres: R2 (Racing Hard)
Quicktune: None (Stock)
Optional bonus Car Time: For this week, you just need to record times for both cars within 1.5 seconds of each other to receive a 1.000 second time bonus. (It does not matter which car is quicker)

My Times (so Far)
Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car ’98: 1:46.982
Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR Race Car ’98: 1:48.144.

These are the specs the cars should have on the track menu screen just before you start driving;
Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car ’98: HP-789 KG-1000 Tyres-RH (R2’s)
Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR Race Car ’98: HP-785 KG-1000 Tyres-RH (R2’s)

You have until Tuesday 10th January 2012 1:00 PM GMT to post your best time(s) in this thread (you can edit/improve them if you wish). All other rules are as per post No1.

Good Luck.

Oh, and not just being difficult to drive stopped the CLK-GTR from winning Le Mans 24hr, a freak of aerodynamics meant they were prone to getting very light as they crested the rise before the braking zone for Mulsanne Hairpin, with disasterous consequences, as shown below: :scared:

I just couldn't get a handle on these two, plus I've never run Suzuka well, ever.

Ok here are the results for week9.
