Thanks for the comments guys! I just remember being anxious to know what the V3 offers since there were only V2 reviews, and so I thought I'd share with all the other anxious folks. 👍

LF, I may have to do the same thing with the pedal plate when my CSP arrives. Please let us know what alternatives you find to have the heavy pedals stable. I'm also looking for a place that can build a foam for my rSeat, but it's hard to find those kind of places in Japan. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with!

If there's space you could always put a second set of screws under the current ones, just tighten the lower ones first so that the load is shared from the go.

Well, If it's outputting the signal from the left channel, you'll feel the whatever the left tires are driving over. Whatever the right tires are driving over will be a bit muted. I think I'm going to build that Stereo to Mono adapter using 10k ohm resistors...so I'll feel the rumbles from both left and right tires.

Dammit, you're right. I just noticed this in GT5. Right hand rumble strips aren't as rumbly.

This is probably a bit off topic now, so would you mind maybe PMing me to let me know how you'd build this..?

I doubt you'll have some use in the info on where I get my foam. It's a small local family driven upholstery and foam specialist company (my mom knew them for a long time since they were neighbors at some point), so I doubt they would do international stuff.
Aren't there any upholstery companies in Japan? Either car or normal furniture? Maybe you could ask a company that makes tatami floors maybe (I believe there is foam in those as well for cushioning?) and maybe they can point you in a direction on where to get the proper foam.

I will have a look around for the washers. Don't know what to get yet.

Or maybe more like this... since it's in a sliding hole:

Warning to all with a T500 pedalset on the rSeat!

I just tried my CSP's to see how they mount to the rSeat and put my T500's back on after. I plugged in my wheel and it seemed dead! The adapter light was lighting up as usual but the mode button wasn't nor was it calibrating itself. After I pulled out the pedal plug the wheel suddenly started calibrating again, plugged them back in and it was dead again. So the pedals were the issue, I looked and I accidentily bolted down the clutch wire with one of the M6 bolts. I loosened it up and the calibration started.

Lesson: Be careful when bolting down your equipment at all times, as you might bolt down wrong things like cables. :dopey:

This happened to me too. Before mounting I quickly tested the pedals & they worked. I mounted them & they gas peddle didn't work. The cable for the clutch, brake & gas run from top to bottom. And run right between the mounting points. Luckily when I backed off the bolt it worked. Pinching the wire. So use your finger to push the wire between the 2 bolts on each of the wires.

When I was mounting it, I wasn't thinking about the wires inside. Who knew.

I posted this on InsideSimRacing:

My peddle plate was moving under heavy braking too. I fixed it for $2. On both sides below the stock bolts, I added a another bolt & nut with steel & rubber washers. Tightened it & it's never moved again.

I have the V3 & the T500 peddles are very heavy. You can only tighten the stock bolt so much before you might strip the thread. Even with a washer on both sides, still slips. My $1 to $2 solution works awesome.

Note it's: Bolt, then metal washer, then rubber washer, then on the back side it's metal washer, & then a nut. Tightened with wrench & socket. Just make sure you get a bolt with thread going all the way to the head. Cause some bolts thread start half an inch from the head of the bolt.

The engineers at Thrustmaster probably. :sly:
Yeah, I was also wondering why my steering wheel had issues with calibrating (stopping on each turn) some of the times and other times it didn't. Might have had to do with the pedal wires as well (this was before I had the rSeat and just a table though).

It seems that a lot of people are getting their rSeats before this weekend, I'm truly happy for you guys, you are getting a really nice cockpit.

spinkick,
glad to see you around here as well, hope we can discuss your rig and your setup when you get it. By the way, we are planning to host a race tomorrow and maybe tonight, so if you are interested let us know at below site in chit chat section of the forum.

Thanks! I just got it but havent had time to build it yet.. I'm commencing now. I'll let you guys know!

Grrrr. I still don't have my rSeat. FedEx stated shipment is delayed till next week. So I can at least read about how you guys are enjoying your seat. I dont care when I get my seat as long as the package is not damaged. Hopefully I can get in the fun by tuesday of next week. FedEx does not do home delivery on Mondays.

I nearly missed it. The fedex guy was thankfully POUNDING on my door and ringing my door bell. They got here at 8am. The package looks to be in good shape. I'll let you know how it goes.

Sorry to be a little off-topic again, but would this do the job, Mikocho?

http://monacor.co.uk/products/patechnology-specialequipment/vnr/211930/

I know yours has a balanced/unbalanced switch but I couldn't find a similar product in the UK. That said, this may work...

...would it!?

I would say yes. However, I'd call them and ask to make sure. That converter uses 4.7k ohm resistors while the one I ordered uses 10k ohm resistors. They will do the same thing, but mine will probably have a lower volume. I'm not an electrical engineer, so I'm just assuming...

Also, snottgobbler, would you be able to post a video of your rig? I'd like to see/hear the difference with the isolators. Only if you have time...

Hey, I WOULD post a before and after vid, but with one slight problem, I tried but since I've fixed the isolators I simply can't now get it to recreate the initial rattle!

I actually custom fixed the isolators to the base of the C-clamp with a barbed type of nut that I had to force into the arm side of the clamp. If I took the screw out, the nut would get lost inside the arm and then I'd have a DIFFERENT type of rattle. You have to get clever with this bolt, as there's no other way to get access to the inside of the housing (you'll understand this once you start fiddling).

Anyway, I have ordered the stereo to mono unit though (it is balanced, I'm told), so when it arrives I'll let you know how that performs or post a final vid, then.

In the meantime, here are the isolators. You'll need at least 8 for the rSeat. In the pic you can see them with the carpet slider tops on. Remove these, and they're effectively a rubber bung with an inbuilt metal washer in the centre...

I just ordered a 13 RI-K28 isolators. lol The best site to get them if you're in the US is http://www.av-outlet.com/. I called them and they have packs of 4 isolators for 7.99. I initially ordered just two packs, but the lady I talked to on the phone (Sue) said shipping is free if I spend over $25. So, I bought 3 packs and an individual one for like $26 and some change. Everywhere else was $10-12 a pack and $10-15 for shipping. CRAZYTOWN!

Not a bad move, as it goes. The rSeat SEAT itself has 5 isolation points (1 directly under the post itself), so technically you need 9, not 8, as I suggested.

Ironically, the one under the BK was the one I didn't fit myself...

One more tip, the rep from BK suggested that I move the Thumper up the post for added effect.

Let me know how you get on with the stereo/mono adapter...

I have my thumper mounted high on the post and hand-tightened. However, after a long session, it creeps down to the base. I recently put some extra foam (left over from seat cushion) between the transducer and the rail. It seems to be helping.

Also, I read some info about balanced/unbalanced audio signals. I'm not completely sure, but you may have some issues using that adapter monacor adapter. I might be wrong, though.

Woo Hoo!!! Got it today!!!

My rSeat with Fanatec CSR Elite wheel, pedels and shifter my wife bought for me for my birthday. I am posting two pics. The rSeat in all its glory and a wife friendly version. :D

The seat is every thing Shaun said from ISR and more. Incredible workmanship and quality for a sub 1k rig! As for how well it fits me. I am 6'2" 220lbs with a 36" waist. the seat fits GREAT!!! And as far as the bottom pad. I really think a little to much has been made of it. I have sat in race cars FAR worse than this seat and to me this seat is fine just the way it is. Of cousre to each his own.

As far as the pedel plate. Just remove the all four plastic washers and use the metal ones. The plate has not moved with my brake load sensor CSR Elite pedels.

Hi guys,

I just got the rig yesterday what a nice piece of engineering :)

Fedex broke the box so the bolt nut etc... fly away

Dimitrie is sending me replacement, Thumbs up for the 5 star customer service. He respond to my email in the evening in no time thanks a lot.

-So i found m8x20 for my seat at the corner store
-My problem is... in the Thrusmaster Manual of my T500rs its say that i should use m6x12 (maximum lenght) but they are not long enough to grab at least two thread to start screwing what you guys recommend without risking damaging the wheel ?

I bought cap screw M6x16 i hope it will be fine...

thx

6x16 should be ok, I found the 6x12 to be a bit short, too. I got them in in the end but well...replacing them is definitely on the plan.

Thx for the reply,

I will try those m6x16 tonight.

Whats bother me is that i was not able to screw the m6x12 in what so ever... maybe just one half thread but the other is impossible because its seem that the plate to screw in the wheel is little bit bend (symmetrically) it look 100% factory btw but anyway it is not completly flat... anyone can confirm that ?

Thx

Seriously, is there no one in Canada with an rSeat??
Also, for those who have ordered their rSeat, how long was the wait in general??

I fixed my rSeat pedal plate finally so it doesn't slide anymore when using T500's and slamming the brake. I can push down with force on the far end of the plate with my hand without it moving a hair. ;)

Used:

8x30mm M8 Bolt
8x24mm 2.5mm thick steel washer
M8 Nylon washer
M8 lock nut

So the steel washer first on the bolt, then the nylon washer. Screw in until pertruding on the other end of the screw hole. Put on the lock nut and keep it as tight against the screw hole as possible without moving it (to keep the powder coating from damaging unnecessary) then tighten the screw until tight. I used a ratchet with allen key bit on it.

My wait for it was about a week. Going per UPS Standard (per truck only) from Sofia, Bulgaria to Groningen, Netherlands. Which is about 2800 kilometers if memory serves right.

Nice to hear that the bolt and lock nut works out for everyone! I'm going to do this as well but I came to a big surprise. Not only did my CSRE wheel not align with the pre-drilled holes, I placed my brand new CSP on the pedal plate and guess what......the CSP pedals didn't align either. It must have been some misalignment with the drill press or something at the factory. Anyways, I sent a video of the misaligned holes to rSeat and they responded right away stating they will send me a new pedal plate asap.
