Where are these races taking place exactly?

Since you're new to the league, you'll start in Division2 which currently takes place in my lounge. Just be there no later than 9pm CST and have this week's three cars ready. If you finish at the top of Division2 tonight, you'll be promoted to Division1 for next week's races. Let me know if you have any other questions at all. See you soon!

Sorry racefan, I reviewed the replay and The__Reaper sent me off-track and destroyed my race... had a shot at 3rd overall up to that point. :-/

I made too many mistakes though, particularly Daytona. Next time.

No worries man. I do need to work on controlling my agression. But yeah, Daytona was rough. It seemed like someone (usually me) spun out in turn 1 every lap

Another great night of racing in D1. Tight battle for 2/3 and 4/5/6. Going into last race any driver could have risen or fell a position between. 👍

Looking forward to next week.

An early congrats and welcome to whomevers coming up.

Incredible racing tonight! There were extremely tight battles throughout. In fact, there were final positions in both divisions that were separated by a single point! Here are the results:

Division1
1st: jlbowler ----------- selected Prize A
2rd: Diabolicwyvern ---- selected Prize B
3rd: leadbedr ---------- selected Price C
4th: whatbadgerseat --- voted to eliminate Round 1
5th: spooble ----------- voted to eliminate Round 1
6th: AG07WRXTR ------- voted to eliminate Round 3
7th: SCREAMING_CHIEF - voted to eliminate Round 1
8th: aubdogg ----------- did not vote relegated to Division2
9th: aDirtySpic- -------- did not vote relegated to Division2
10th: DjX2391 ---------- no-showed without advanced notice :irked: relegated to Division2

Division2
1st: racefan78---------- voted to eliminate Round 3 promoted to Division1
2nd: zer05ive ----------- voted to eliminate Round 1 promoted to Division1
3rd: rallywgn81 --------- voted to eliminate Round 1 promoted to Division1
4th: Esotic1972 --------- voted to eliminate Round 1
5th: dvdoughboy -------- voted to eliminate Round 1
6th: Space_Echo -------- did not vote
7th: chfslap606 ---------- did not vote
8th: yer_mama904 ------- voted to eliminate Round 3
9th: cmbeal317 ---------- voted to eliminate Round 1
10th: The__Reaper ------- voted to eliminate Round 1
11th: UH_Warrior15 ------- did not vote

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 @Cape Ring Periphery
Therefore it has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since jlbowler selected Prize A, he gets to decide which car and track will replace it.

The round that received the second most votes was:
Round 3 - Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 @Road Course - Daytona
Therefore, either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Diabolicwyvern selected Prize B, so he gets to decide which is replaced and what replaces it.

leadbedr got Prize C, so he gets any car he wants (up to $999,999).

sorry i had to leave early.. i dont think im gonna be able to make alot of the races, sunday at 7 is just a bad time for me i guess ill try and make as many as possible, and possibly the other races through out the week

Great racing in D1 guys. As I stated in the beginning, my driving with other cars on the track needs some fine tuning, but as you could see in the very last race, I led the first 2 and half laps pretty good with nobody around. I apologize to jlbowler for punting him into the bus stop at Daytona last night. Pretty much ruined his winning streak, but hey he still won anyway. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

I would be interested in getting together with other drivers (mostly newbies?) to free run and practice things like driving etiquette, maintaining control in tight formations while braking, etc. Would anybody else be interested in joining or leading such an activity? It's common for sports teams to run drills to learn techniques, and I don't see how driving is any different.

Cheers,

Dave\Esotic

I'd be up for joining in with those....I've only raced 'online' twice and both of those have been the Wednesday nights with you guys so any tips would be great :)

It wasn't bowler that you punted.
But no worries.

will I be in division 2 next Sunday since I wasn't able to make it last night? Not that I would have a problem with that. 👍

No, you'll still be in Division1 since you provided advanced notice that were going to miss last night.

On the other hand, dj will be relegated to Division2 since he did not provide advanced notice (thus the :irked: face I put next to his name on the results posting).

Reminder to all current and potential future Division1 drivers:
Driving in our top division is a privilege, not a right. That's why it's by invite only. Only members who received an invitation from the Division1 account have the ability to join the Division1 races. There are only a set limit of drivers who have a D1 invition each week (the Division1 account will "unfriend" you if you are relegated to Division2). Therefore, when you no-show to the Division1 races, you are stealing the spot from someone else who could have raced in D1 in your place. Also, you are depriving your fellow D1 drivers from competing against a full grid. That is all.

Combination Update

I am replacing the Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09 with the NISMO 380RS Super Leggera. Rather than crossing the Start/Finish at 190, this car will be pushing 165. Also, it's just low enough in PP to use the Racing Medium tires so wear will not be an issue. I just ran five laps and my brake point was unchanged for the duration. With that said...if you do overcook it, this car will bite so a bit of car control around Turn 3 and 5 may be neccessary in a pack.

That's what the Wednesday and Friday sessions are for. I host on Wednesdays and diabolique hosts on Fridays. They're practice days yet also race nights (no points). Join in on these days and ask any questions that you may have and also practice.

I will be replacing one Camaro with another Camaro. In place of the 69 Z28 at Cape Ring, we will be running the '10 Camaro at Fuji F.

Lol I did provide advance notice, I'll go to d2 though, it's kinda hard being on time and all that with the diff time zone

It's all good dj. I'm in d2 now! Not use to the g27 at all yet lol but it's fun.

I can start hosting on Monday's or Tuesdays, some practice sessions. The sooner I know the line up the better. So far we have the 10' camaro at Fuji f and the rx7 at Indy rc. I can have those two going tonight.

I made too many mistakes though, particularly Daytona. Next time.

I was having the same issue on daytona, the last two races I put myself off and into a spin that I had to battle from last back to 5th place, both times I would easily have had podium. Oh well, that's division II:ouch:. I'll get it cleaned up for next Sunday. Also, you wanna know what not breaking in your car does? about 5 seconds off your lap time:indiff:. At least for me. I didn't break in the rx-7, I love Indy RC, and was racing it clean too, but I kept getting passed hard on the straights.
All in all it was fun, a touch of drama at Indy, but it did go well, most everyone had no issues it seems, except two people maybe. and the racing up front was tight, and the middle was, well, it was interesting!

Ok, I did this last night after the races, however, I apparently forgot to hit submit, so Im doing so now.

Again, I want to emphasize to the beginner/intermediates that if you want to get better, this league will do just that for you. I was really terrible at this game but I can see improvements just by doing the practice sessions along with the Sunday race night. If you feel like you're too slow, don't worry about it. Don't quit. It's a fun league and we all started somewhere. The biggest attraction for the league is CLEAN racing. I hated joining open lobbies that were titled clean racing yet you would see people recklessly driving. And if you feel like someone is driving recklessly, mention it here either to Zero or myself. I'm going to start saving every replay each week just in case. Sure, accidents happen. But if a person is a habitual violator, then something can be done.

I reviewed the replay of the 2nd race at indy in D2. I was pissed that night but after the replay, I saw that it was a chain of events that caused that race to be a throw away for me.

Also, as far as breaking in a car goes, I purchased the Camaro and went to get an oil change right away. I saw that my potential HP gain was only to 435 hp. I left and let it run in the B spec Indy endurance for 200 miles and after the oil change, HP was in the 44X range. I used to only break in 50-80 miles but like someone mentioned, 200 miles seems to be a good number to max out break in

Thanks for the quick selections! I've updated the line-up to reflect both of your choices. Something tells me that Chevy 'runs deep' in the bowler household.. 💡
