Since when it is written rule we have to say something about a posted picture? I post pics all the time and I barely receive any comments.

Ah, thank you. 👍

That 2002 looks messy, but color or whatever added ties the car together nicely......

I am so getting that one. 👍

Hopefully the Superbird comes in a another colour combo because I really don't like look of it in purple/white.

I'm now kicking myself for not picking up an extra 2002 to open & mess around with.

P.S. Yes, youtube's new layout sucks, just like with how they changed adding friends.

Yes. 1/64s.

Bad Maisto. Bad.

More 2012s rolling in - from the venerable gang at El Segundo, of course:

Results of my trip:

11 stores covered.

1st store was a good score, lots of new stuff. No TH's.

Stores 2 through 10 came up with only 2 good cars. 👎

Last store (by my house) scored pretty good, spent $20 there. Lots of new stuff, got those Boulevard cars I wanted from the last page, and picked up a nice error.

No TH's all night. :( No boxes to go through either.

Pictures tomorrow.

Dude, after your intel on Walmart, I decided to copy your move this morning. I went to two nearest one(still far  ) I have been to before, three I didn't even know existed. One of the Walmarts, one that's way off the highway(of course) had untouched "dump bin".

I failed you my master.

Everything was neatly stacked inside. I've never seen that before. At first, I thought some Walmart employee with tons of time stacked them inside the bin neatly. As soon as I realized that's probably how Mattel ships them, I started tearing through them. I went through I think every single hot wheels in that box, and after I was done, it was the messiest dump bin I had ever seen. But no treasure hunts. If it was labeled green, I'd be 100% sure I did not miss it. It might have been one of those secret treasure hunts, one that I am not aware of(like .'71 Challenger I didn't know about).

Any who, I did find Knight Rider car that I was after. There were about 10~15 of those in the box. Good sign. 👍 I can see why scalpers do what they do. I see they are selling like hot cakes on eBay. 👎

I took two Knight Rider for myself, one spare. ;) Dodge truck, I didn't even want it, but you guys were making big deal of it, so..... Finally got that "Boulevard" Cuda I coveted. :embarrassed: Not into monster trucks, however, I do like Nintendo characters(who doesn't?), so I had to pick up the Donkey Kong truck thing.

You didn't get a treasure hunt either, but I hope you at least had a similar luck I had. Other than Treasure Hunt + new Furai :( I got everything I was after, including an extra 2002 so I can take one out of pack. Edit: I lied, I wanted the "80's" Hachiroku as well!

P.S. It is weird what you find, and don't find. I commented on how common RX7 & 2002 had become. This mega hot wheel quest, I saw "one" RX7. 2002, I still saw a few.

P.P.S. Nobody tell me how much I spent this morning, because I simply don't wish to know. I know I spent just about $10 on fuel. :dopey:

P.P.S. I just took the 2002 out of packaging. It does not look bad out of the package!

P.P.P.S. Man, I have a lot of say this morning. :P Finally back in town, I decided to hit couple of local stores, as they were open already. Ran into couple of collectors(or scalpers, I don't know). Both, older. One was a Japanese looking dude, about 60+. Another was a white dude, about same age. The Japanese looking one, he was one step ahead at two separate stores(lol), but he was giving me dirty looks man, like I was eyeing his steak dinner or something. I also got asked at the store I picked up the "Boulevard" '57 Chevy if I was a collector. I answered, "yeah, I'm kind of a beginner collector". :sly: I think the guy was really impressed, and told me that I had great taste.

Yes. 1/64s.

I'm going to hit a couple more stores today that were closed when I was out last night. (Targets, Big Lots) and that will be the extent of my hunting for a couple weeks.

Pictures coming up...

I don't do international. :P

Stop being so lame!!! Or as Cano likes to put it, "Stop sucking!"

:P

Anyway, I had a wicked idea regarding that Chevelle TH; remove the "Super Sport", stick on your own "Treasure Hunt". Totally unnoticeable from a glance ;)

Did some more hunting today after work. (More time than I wanted, so I had to tell my parents I had a really busy shift, stupid Saturday mall traffic...) I was quite limited on money since I only had about $7 out of the total $57 I had in my wallet... ($40 I'm not sure what to spend it on after selling my car's wheel on craigslist and the other $5 bill was to buy some groceries.) Found myself some interesting models, mostly found on the very front of the pegs or on the bottom of the shelves having been dropped. :D I'll post pictures of those. Along with yesterday's purchases from Target (finally visited the local one near the mall and found a couple good cars.)

List of recent purchases:
Corvette Stingray (FTE 2011) Toys R Us
Lamborghini Aventador (Orange) Target
Lamborghini Reventon (Orange) Walmart
Ferrari FF (Silver) Target
2011 Dodge Charger R/T (Red) Target
Pontiac Firebird (White w/ car silly bands... ) Target
GMC Vandura (A-Team van) Toys R Us
Shelby Supersnake (Black) Toys R Us
Tyrell F1 car (White, 2010 HW model) Toys R Us

Pictures will be uploaded asap. :D

Ok, here we go:

Old cars I found at my last stop. These seem to be coming out of nowhere. :odd:

Old cars huh? Weird. :odd: I see you found the AE86. 👍 Grand National, I was on the fence on that one. Actually, if I see another Cuda, I'm gonna buy it again, so I can take one out of the package. :P

Seriously though, there were so many KITT in that bin, I think they are going to be like Back to the Future car. You should start seeing them everywhere soon.
GMC Vandura (A-Team van) Toys R Us
On my Walmart expedition, I did not see one A-Team. Not one!

That sucks. :( Managed to find the A-Team van on the bottom of the shelf from either someone attempting to stash it or falling off the peg. I nearly jumped when I saw it. (On a busy Toys R Us day when there were parents going around with their little kids everywhere.)

Nice finds R1600Turbo! :)

I was looking way back into older posts in this thread (about a year old posts) and completely forgot about the possible treasures at flea markets. :dunce: Found out their was an indoor flea market in my town! And looking through their facebook page they've got some pictures of their selection. One of which is a wall full of diecast cars! So the next time I'm able to borrow my parents car, I will definitely head over and have a look! I've been getting away with small run arounds at larger stores this week since my older brother is back from college and allowing me to borrow his car for such uses. :D Unfortunately he's heading back to college tomorrow, so I'll have to wait for the weekends to go out and look. :indiff:

I haven't bagged a single K.I.I.T. yet. Not one to be seen in this neck of the woods. In fact I've not seen on pegs here most of what a6m5 or R16... has posted. I would so love to get my hands on many of those - good picks, guys!

About the Galaxie error that R16....found - the strange part is that while HWs go right, MBs go left - so . . . yes, something went wrong there. Good find!

a6m5 - the Maistos are extremely detailed, very nice quality, however: this is the premium line, so a few more bucks. Comparable maybe to the HW Garage line.

Cano. I know you're up to something.

I also found another blue Challenger that had the tampo's applied wrong. Instead of straight across the top of the car, the actually angled down toward the front tire. I left it behind though.

Hi i am a young (16)yrsld collector i been collecting for 3 years now ,and want to share what i find ,i will be posting some picks of my newest grabs. :)

sssscrew AAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL OF YOU who have Boulevard cars in supermarkets.

SCREW.

YOU.
I followed R1600's lead, and went really early(late by comparison to R1600). I saw cars I've never seen before. I passed on many, but picked up anything I felt like getting. That Boulevard Edsel's just...... yeah. 👍

Thanks man. 👍 You should start seeing those cars soon. Only one Walmart had all the new cars I got, and I saw R1600's cars(and a plane ;)) in there, too. And like I said, KITT was plentiful in that one bin box. It's only a matter of time.

I'm so feeling that nostalgic gold color!

Cali, huh? We don't have any (regular)participant in this thread from California yet, do we? I'm looking forward to it!

The best time to go Hotwheels hunting is early in the morning. I go late at night because I'm not a morning person, and I'm not afraid to rip into new boxes if I see them sitting on a restock pallet. ;)

Walmart's tricky, as most of the stores are open 24 hours. I think I left home around 4am this morning. Ridiculous. I love it. :D
