Hello..... Remember me???
Missing the craic with all you guys this last wee while, but have always had something to keep me away. Was the girlfriend's birthday last week and a squad of us went crazy golfing, and then Friday past there I managed to get tickets for the both of us to the Jeff Dunham show which hit Belfast in it's tour. Actually brilliant - never laughed as much in my life. And he's a pure talent at what he does.
Don't even know what had kept me away the other weeks......and it'll be another fortnight before I'm back
Doing the evening shift again this week coming in so HOPEFULLY next week.
And Mr Omnius - congratulations on 2000 posts in this thread! To think you were gonna close the curtain on this fine venture not so long ago..... I think I speak for everyone that has ever took a place on one of your grids when I say thank-you for your patient perseverance
The CORE is stronger than ever and it's getting to the point where calling a slot on the grid needs to be done on a Sunday night to be guaranteed of one.....! Yikes.
Now, as I sign off I put a question out to anybody who wants to take it.... Downloading the GT Academy was a mess for me - needed 3GB and I had less than 1GB free as most of my HDD is full of movies recorded off Film4 via PlayTV. So I wanted to delete the movies to download the Academy, only PlayTV required 3GB of free space before it could even open. Catch 22. Grrrr.....
So - question (in Dwight Schrute voice
) - looking down the route of getting an external HDD for the PS3, do I need a specific type or can I get any old thing for it??? I have a Seagate 1TB HDD for my PC - don't think I need something quite that size for PS3 as I only need that for PC for all my big file photos - would like to put a few TATW podcasts onto PS3 for play thru 5.1 as PC only has the TV speakers
And the assurance that i can save more movies via PlayTV. Can I use a simple plug & play type HDD like my Seagate???
