TT 35: Laguna Seca (SUSPENDED) & Chamonix West. [Post 1 for tunes!]

I guess this means you're back up to speed now? :sly:

Yeah I am about as fast as I can be, strange thing is I felt faster a while back when I was driving one handed using a DFGT

This wheel is not perfect though, I am hoping they are planning to release some new firmware to correct some of the known issues. Currently the SPR setting with this firmware is terrible, the wheel is not smooth on rotation at all :ouch:

There's also the horrible wheel center sensitivity which has been there since release, the first 5 degrees left to right and I can pretty much weave the width of the track :yuck:

It's manageable like this but not ideal.

@ Joao

It does look good the leaderboard. Like I said I can see a 135.2 it's just being able to hold it in and not soil my pants when ahead of my ghost after the corkscrew:sly::lol:

I don't know Mike as I haven't done WRS for a while, great time you have by the way Mike and may compete with you in the WRS soon

Thank you viva! :) I'll try this in a little bit.

Dropped 2 tenths at Laguna to a 1:35.681 and left a good tenth out in sectors 1 and 4. Nothing else to say at this moment

That's good going on the pad great job:tup:

I used to be a pad user on the xbox and found I used to be able to hang with wheel users, with the sweeping turns on this track you wouldn't expect this to be the case. :)

Well, the XBox controller is far more suitable for racing games than this crap they dare sell with the PS3. The triggers alone make all the difference. And it's really a dumb idea that GT5 puts 90% of throttle in 30% of the travel distance of the triggers of the DS3.

To me, throttle and brake are really not well made in GT5 respectively the PS3/DS3.

But nevertheless: good job both of you!

Has anyone managed to get gold in the Laguna Seca TT with a bone stock Lancer, no tuning whatsoever (engine rebuild/oil change excepted)?

Best I managed was a silver, 1'44'7xx or something (can confirm this and the exact car) having tried all the premium ones except the V or whatever it is. Might try a standard VII RS next, though I remember comparing all the Evos some time ago and there was little in it between the VI's up to the X.

That was my biggest complaint about using the DS3, but I don't think it's GT5's fault. I think it's just poor manufacturing on the DS3s. I once did a test with calipers where I compared the right trigger of my two (supposedly identical) DS3 controllers, and found that the difference between 50% throttle on one of them was almost 25% further into the maximum travel distance of the trigger than the other. I tried each of them as both controller 1 and controller 2, and everything else I could think of to isolate the hardware as the problem, and the difference never went away.

James (Twissy) , Mike, me and Kelvin, all together between 12º and 15º, is neat but we have to get that a bit higher on the leaderboard :sly:

I hope to find some more free time during the week, theres definatly more in your tune. :)

Yeah that's right my names Kelvin :)

Look forward to some friendly rivalry in July, hopefully by then there will be better firmware for my wheel so I actually feel like competing. This firmware only seems good enough for certain cars....very strange.

Agree with what you said about Joao's tune though, more time in it for sure. At best I could probably run a mid to high 135.1, but I will be happy enough if I manage a low 35.2 :)

Be very happy if I can manage to finish in the top 10 :D

Fantastic times by the top few in the 34's

Hello to all my friends,

I am writing to inform you that the driver Japanese (6th) ''Rock_starsp9'' use the road stand at the beginning of the circuit, he won me over '589 in one sector... 👎

I find it shameful, it is sure he will succeed in passing the first using this method, he or someone else...

I wanted to go 1'34'6xx tonight but what is the point of going to the trouble for nothing? :grumpy:

I'm really disappointed, I think we should wait and see how things evolve but in any case I have more motivation, this game cheats and exhaust me...

These are my friends, you are informed.

Regards,
Yinato.

Did you not read the rest of my post? Obviously not. That was just the last straw of the list of harassing pm's that I have recieved from various people from these forums. Its people like you that make these forums unenjoyable anymore. You don't bother reading, you just see what you wanna see in order to take a shot at someone or belittle them. That guy has had a problem with me as it is because of my opinion on something which is why I doubt it was a joke. So, try reading or know what your talking about before you post. I have shared tunes and have helped people on here and this is what I get for it. I've got enough problems in my real life, I don't need this crap.
Dude, quit being such a crybaby! I did read the whole post, and I stand by my post. Go seek some help, you obviously need it.

Well I didn't see that one coming!...Pd should've foreseen something this blatant. They perhaps only programmed for 1 wheel, at least,on the tarmac at all times and I guess he does do that..You're right though that the leaderboard is about to become repopulated...👎

I always knew,
every since you were young

that one day you would drive so fast... I would have to kill you.
The day gets nearer....

That is a shame:guilty:

I knew about that cut from day one, you can gain near a second. 👎

You know, I told myself I wasn't going to respond to anymore of these stupid ass posts, but I feel compelled to answer this one. If you were told by a doctor that you could lose 100% use of your legs inside of 6 months unless you have a very risky operation, you would be a little touchy too. I play GT5 and visit these forums as a sort of escape from the reality of my disability. I really don't need to put up with crap like yours on my only form of enjoyment out of life. No sympathy wanted, just would like to enjoy my time here without having to deal with people like you. Is that really too much to ask?

My friends, it's nice to know debate but it's even better to know when to stop.

Do not you prove to each other that you are stupid, I invite you to return to the main topic, I absolutely do not take myself to a moderator but this war will lead to no good and you will lose some people who enjoy helping people of this community, including me.

Thank you my friends. 👍

Agreed, as the creator of this thread, it's frustrating to see users bicker and argue with one another. Keep the personal conversations to PM's or have a moderator step in to mediate your concerns/problems.

This thread is concerned about TT 35, easy and friendly access to tunes, and driver discussions about the courses and cars.

Thank you! :)

I've had three major back surgeries, each life threatening. Now let's get back to GT5. Almost forgot to post what I came to post.

I wonder what HP and weight the fastest Lotuses are running at Chamonix West.

I'm not clear on what you mean by this?

I'm not clear on what you mean by this?

What this driver did was go through the pits instead of around the racing bend at the bottom of turn one like he should have. He was still on tarmac which probably helped him stay out of the red. He's now in 1st place on the leaderboard..👎

Oh I know and now you can expect a host of copycats to follow his lead. The leaderboard will look very different in a day or two..Sad really.

We can hope so but now that it's out there and has been seen the only way to fix the problem may be to shut down the comp entirely like they did a while back with a Nurburgring TT.

Hit my limit now, managed a 1'35.7. Made every corner about as well as I can. My first sector is still a tenth down on my best (24.709) had a really lucky corkscrew almost lost it on the exit, but held my nerve through the final sector. Probably won't do any better.

I saw the guy in first place replay but skipped to the sector times first, was a full second ahead at t1, but the other sectors weren't any better really. Then saw the dodgy line through the pit exit...

Hi Feng

Thanks for sharing your car. I can't beleive how much better your setup was than where I was heading. I used it to drop 2.2 seconds off my time and I'm now in 57th place on 2:03.065 (without corner cut) so I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself. ;)

Cheers

Stan

Are you using a wheel or controller?

Oh, OK. Thanks. You'd think he'd feel like a chop, knowing that his replay would be viewed?

There's those who have no sense of shame, and likely no talent either, whatsoever. In his mind "I'm Number One"!!!! :dunce::dunce:

Pathetic really, he'll think he's actually achieved something. Now that it's likely many will follow and the whole TT has been completely compromised, some of the real gun drivers should blow him off the leaderboard by running the same tactic since it may very well be shut down anyways.
