I think that GTPedia will be incredible, I'm looking forward to reading it. However, as I am moving to the UK in 9 months, I was wondering if, after Famine's plan B and all the demand in Europe, will there still be copies available to buy in the UK from Famine in 10-12 months?

I could, but I want to have as little to bring on the plane as possible. I may ship a few boxes over several months in advance, and have my uncle keep them for me, so I could ship books that way. I'm hoping that I won't have to bring any books with me on the plane, carrying 3 or 4 bags of stuff from one end of an airport to the other is bad enough.

I would expect Famine to still have copies on hand in 10-12 months. 👍

I don't know, it's morally inadequante to profit on someone else's intelectual property (even tho it's legally possible), even more morally challenging when similar things (such as wikis, and such) are distrubuted at no cost.

I know this has been replied to already, but I couldnt let it past.
That is the daftest comment I have seen here in a long time. By your reasoning, every single retail store on earth is morally wrong. They get someone else's IP, and sell it on for a profit.
Famine, Jordan, and whoever else volunteered time in contributing/proofreading this book have invested serious amounts of cash in the GT series over its lifetime, so they have paid for the access to the information anyhow.

This is true. The MGS4 database is definitely wrong. So not worth the free download. GTA wiki and Futurama wiki are far from the best.
A funny post.
Do you realise what you have done here?

MGS4 Database is the official encyclopedia released by KONAMI and made by KP, they're the people who made the franchise, how can they be wrong?! It's like saying, in a theorethical situation of PD releasing an equivalent of GTPEDIA, that they're wrong (yet they made the game, so they can't be).
An artist explanation of his art is the only true explanation.

Or the vehicle stats, for that matter. But by all means, say that PD can do no wrong when it comes to what they included in the game, and Famine and Jordan wasted their time to compile a definitive resource.

There are several spurious entries in the MGS database, some which go against continuity, some which try to create continuity, and some which just don't make any sense at all.

As Famine has said, even PD has gotten it wrong with Gran Turismo lists and stuff in the past; anybody from the halcyon days of Gran Turismo 2 can testify to that.

For those of you who missed Jordan's Tweet...

I'm told he made quite the stir at the post office getting them sent out :D

I will definitely be picking one of these up at some point, probably with a lifer Premium membership. I have big binders of GT information (car lists, track lists, prize lists, used car cycle lists) I compiled and printed out almost entirely from this forum that I used on a regular basis for years, and this is just the thing that would be perfect for me. Many thanks for the effort, guys. 👍

Yep, just got another batch of orders out today. 👍 Thanks again to everyone who has reserved a copy.

It was quite a scene at the post office yesterday...

I hadn't realised you were doing this all yourself, until I checked the tracking on my order and it seemed to originate from your house!

What's the penalty for child labor in Kentucky? Why not just go to the local middle school and ask how many kids want to make 5 bucks for the day packaging everything for you.

And let's not forget some of the vehicle descriptions as well.

Yeah, for example, the Ferrari F2007 states that the 2007 F1 Championship was between Fernando Alonso, 'Louis' Hamilton and Kimi Raikonnen, the former two losing by a single point and it was Raikonnen's 1st year.

(If you know anything about F1 you can see there are two things wrong there.)

Don't know if they have fixed that up, but that's just one example off of the top of my head, so GT5's car descriptions aren't always right. :P

Anyway, I will be buying a copy very soon. :)

Yep, I am (though that's not my home address ;)). I print every address label and stuff every book in every envelope.

Yes, every copy which was ordered before 3:00pm yesterday (Tuesday) is en route. If you ordered before 3:00pm Monday, your copy was shipped out on that day.

If you're in the United States, you should receive it before the end of the week.

I know this may sound far-fetched, but what would be the chances of seeing a book like this for Forza? Once Forza Planet has grown enough?

I think there is a very small chance of a book like this for Forza, unfortunately.

As much as I would like to publish one, I don't think the series' fan base is quite large enough to support an investment in a similar project of this scale.

Thank for the answer.

I'd imagine it would be a more difficult project too since Forza games come out more frequently than GT games.

You planing online version of GTPEDIA?
I mean the version where you can log in with your GTP user, since PDF File you got only where you downloaded it.

Online version you could read every place where you can acces GTP :)
