I don't even understand what they did.
Notable mentions without any real similarity:
Z06 RM jumped about 50HP @ 600PP
ZR1 unchanged
ACR dropped from 600 to 593PP.
Toyota Altezza TC dropped from 507iirc to 453!!! :crazy: (It's faster than from the shootout spec @ 453 now)
HSV dropped to 597 stock (from 603) with full aero
Castrol Supra 97 (and a bunch of torquey JGTC cars) dropped from 615 to 592PP
Fairlady Z '08 from 500 to 469PP

I don't get it... What's the common denominator here?

No common denominator and my 600PP GT500 Lambo which was already probably the slowest GT500 car is unchanged at 600PP.:mad:
As I've said already they haven't made the PP system more equitable but instead have made it even more unbalanced.👎👎

Obviously they didn't just implement a brand new formula for PP and apply it to all cars because all FF's are unchanged as far as I know and many other cars are unchanged as well, but the adjustments to certain cars are kind of wild and unexplainable. Cars that needed adjusting were left alone, and others that didn't need boosting, got huge boosts. It almost seems like they went through and picked and chose which cars to boost and which to leave alone and then threw darts at a dart board as to how much the adjustment was. Bizarre.
 
So one of the cars that got a huge change to PP was the Altezza/IS200 family.
Now a IS200 '98 fully upgraded including all weight reduction and a rear wing set to 20 has 423PP. With a very sloppy lap due in part to understeer caused by the unneeded wing I got a 8:12.581 on SH tires. Remember I only managed an 8:17.146 in my 450PP Hommell.:crazy:
 
I now run the G37 concept '04 at 485pp, and beat the BMW CSL at 505pp...

i hope they will re-work that, fast.

Yes Mike, they have to. Even a little unfair for some cars like it was, we knew the overated ones.
PD have to ear our voices ,all together and come back at least till they fix a better PP fairness.

This aston Martin with 500PP reach now 310kmh in the straight.
 
I had already been making one and they threw me about 50HP yesterday, so :)
I'll add the tune when I get it posted.

I'm updating the OP today to the 2.10 line, and then I'll give it at least 30 days to make sure this new PP stuff is sticking around.
If the update stays put, I guess we'll just mix them.
If the update turns out to be experimental, and we start seeing PP system changes "regularly" then I think we'll have to forget about having a board. :/

Yeah Doug the difference is huge with some cars, the IS-F is also a lot different now. before update i was hitting 282kmh on the ring, now 314kmh (505pp..)

Yes I was trying oddball cars that had a big drop in PP to see how competitive they'd be.

The Tacoma was even quicker and it tops out at 503 pp (~690HP / ~1360 kgs or so). It may even out accelerate the Supra but obviously loses out on the top end. Neilson was propably pulling his hair out when he'd pass me in the corners in the CSL and I'd immediately blow (and I literally mean it) by his CSL as soon as we got on the gas out of the corner.

I fully expect another patch soon to 'fix the fix'.

Whether they patch it or not with a 2.11 is up in the air. I had a few cars on the go and ready to post but I'm not going to put any time into this until I see how it plays out. I'll guess though that I don't think they'll change it at all, I think it will stay the way it is and many of the old tunes will be obsolete as a result.
 
I don't think it renders many tunes obsolete, it just changes the build. My Corvette RM would be roughly identical in tune even if it didn't get a 50hp bump.

Obsolete in two senses. In practical terms, as the tune sits now, it's out of date. If you bolt on the parts and set it up the way it stands the PP will be out of whack, so to remain relevant it needs to be updated in terms of specifics but also to handle what could be an additional 100hp or more.

In relative terms, it changes alters the landscape in terms of PP based tunes. If for example, the 2.10 was the PP setup from the beginning, PP racing could have been dominated by crappy handling, heavily front weighted, big sedans. Massive efforts would have been spent finding ways to make them handle and there would be hundreds of tunes for them and not the NSX's, S2000's, RX7/8's/Elises etc. But if some of those current preferred cars cannot keep up to the best of the best in their class, and are getting blown away, then their relevance is diminished and they are shoved to the back shelf and pointless in anything but a one make type of race.

Things may go that way in terms of finding group of cars to race but I doubt it. Most online hosts do very little if any actually managing of rooms, they just set the parameters then race and pay little attention to what's happening on the track. I doubt if many of them will police and list cars that can run and can't run. It's a lot of work for little reward for the host. :grumpy:

Yeah it was a LOT faster on the straight! hehe i did 8:18 on the 24h nurb with it on a not so bad lap.
Would been great if they just chosen cars that really needed some more power to keep up with the faster car. But something went really wrong it seems :)

For board like this its really irritating when they keep changing the physic or PP system all the time, i hope they will fix this and then add tracks and cars instead of playing with physic.. and if they want to improve something, theres plenty of engine sounds to work on. :dopey:

No chance for the other cars that will stay far behind but the car is freat to drive and can compete against normals 650PP easy.
