why, I do believe your right! Sorry man, I was using my phone and quickly going through looking for all of that info. Joe, I ask the same of you then. That way people don't have to dig to find out whom exactly is their division steward.

Maybe Zer0 can add an "Important Links" section in the OP. I know they're all in the OP, but having them all together in one spot would make it more convenient.

Since there are only 10 2011 nascars available and more than 10 people have competed in D2 the last few weeks (I think), can I run the #24 even though Luv2coach has taken it. It would save me from breaking in another car. If I am wrong about the number of competitors or cars available let me know. If I don't run the #24, you can assign any car to me that is available. I have no favorite or preference.

Thx,

Looks like we went from twins to triplets in d2. I just broke in that car last night.

How did the race at Daytona go for everyone last night? I thought it went great. Sure there were a few wrecks and I got spun out, but I had a blast. Mopar, Twoarm, Coach, and I had some pretty good racing going on last night. I think if everyone keeps a cool head and doesn't drive beyond their limits Sunday night it'll be a great race.

I had a good time with it, but we need to be sure to turn the penalties off for all divisions for this race. Bump drafting is going to be a requirement, but cars ghosting after a few bumps is going to make for a silly race.

Never heard so much complaining in my life, yall sound like a bunch of PMSing girls :sly: but anyways ya cant please everyone, and i ain't trying too.👍

I don't need to run the #24. Just thought it would save me some time. I am willing to run any car.

Same here. We could rock paper scissors with a pm the Kcheeb if you want.

Actually, there's a link to the complaint process (which has all the division stewards listed) in the 'Rules' section of the original post. However, I agree that it'd be a good idea to put a link in the Steward Report as well.

Oshawa-Joe, can you please hyperlink the words "your Division Steward" to the complaint process? I guess just edit this one so that when you copy and paste it into next week's Steward Report it'll already be done. At least that's what I do to minimize the work when I work on the results post each week. ;)

Done.

I actually keep a copy of each report in a word doc. That way I can work on it off line, and then copy and paste into the forum when it's finished.

Until drivers learn "how" to drive a NASCAR event, there will be continued pushing, shoving and "mayhem" like was experienced in the Red Room last night. We even had "The Big One" ....... with almost every car involved and one car completely off the track, nose in the air with other cars passing under it. Quite the sight.

The challenge is drafting in groups and moving faster, together. Hope we have a chance to practice together a few times before the Sunday night races.

A true NASCAR event would add the strategy of pit stop timing, and working together with another team. A completely different concept from what SNAIL usually experiences. But, that may be outside the design of the league and members intentions.

I wouldn't mind starting a Nascar snail series. I don't know of I could run it (adhd is a plague on organization and memory), but I would love it. Instead of a few small races we could do one hour long one.

As long as we can still chat. I go crazy of I can't talk in the long races.

NOTICE:

DIVISION 1 NASCAR CAR CHOICES!!!

OwensRacing - #83 Vickers RedBull

This is just to help get diversity. Drive what you want.

Also need to know for sure if only 2011 cars allowed. I'd prefer the 2010 RedBull

Hey fellas, just thought I'd share a little triumph with you guys. I've been working on this thing for too long and I've finally got it running.
Sadly, it was a used motor I put in there, they guy said that it didn't leak, but of course, it leaks bad between the rotor housing and the center plate. So, Im going to get everything cleaned up and finished (making everything quick disconnect for ease of removal and install) and then rebuild it. Not sure if I'm going to boost or leave it na with a nice post job. I guess I'll have to see the condition of the rotor housings before I decide my route.

Starting up my RX-7 for the second time after completely stripping, rewiring and installing the engine. right now its still in the rough "build up" stage. I still need to build the headlights, using square for a sleepy eye look instead of the huge round lights that it came with. and I have to wire up the dash/gauges and what not. But I got the engine running. So thats the biggest hurdle out of the way. Well, ti was, until I noticed the leak.

Congrats. Also a good feeling to breath fire into one!!!

Rotary motor or hopefully an LS, you know what a rotary motor and Communism have in common? They both work good in theory. :sly:

Hey fellow Snails STaTS is in need of your help. I need someone to help run this series for next season if it is to have a next season. My life has gotten busy all of a sudden and I don't have the time to organize the series every week anymore. If you are interested in helping let me know.

Yeah, yeah. I've seen that meme. But there are a lot of other motors and cars that can have the same thing said about them. Rotaries aren't bad, if you take the time to take care of them. They are for the enthusiast, not joe shmoe should have bought a honda. Even the rx8 needs someone who will love it more then their wife, check the oil like a , religious commandment, and warm it all the way up like a mistress before giving it all they got.my last rx7 had well over 150k miles and it was still going strong when I sold it.

Like my dad says with everything about cars "If it was so good then everyone at the track would have one" :D

Enthusiast = Masochist?

Actually, it was so good that most sanctioning bodies changed their rules so a rotary could no longer compete. Really though, the biggest killer of rotary engines is the owners ignorance. They had some issues, back in maybe the sixties and early seventies. But those have mostly been resolved. they have a tried and proven track record. Speed source and mazda won more then they lost with the rx8 platform. The 787b was so successful, le mans changed their rules so the car could no longer compete, how many cars do you know that won the over all le mans championship, back to back, on its first two years racing? Even the scca ended up making its own class, it7 for rotary powered cars to compete in because it killed everything else that it was classed with. That said, find me another 1.3l engine that can reliable push 400hp and be daily driven. I don't need to defend the rotary, its legacy does it all on its own. just do a little research.

Dab, I think every enthusiast is a little masochistic. Look at what the stewards, zero, cheeb and the rest of us put ourselves through for a video game.

There have been alot of winning cars that have been banned from le mans its what they do to keep the competition close, but like the saying goes whatever floats your boat.:)
