Ferrari California will be in GT5 Prologue (Video)

Cool stuff. So, I'm assuming this means that the Ferrari California will be featured in GT5?

If so, this gives me hope that the Enzo or the FXX will be in it as well. :)

Good find! Anyone else notice that the driver is not wearing a helmet and is dressed in a suit!?

Yeah, i was thinking, not very safe to go at Flugplatz at high speed with the only protection being a business suit.

Hmmm, so could we expect an update with:
Ferrari California Coupe
Ferrari California Soft top
other new models?

Nurburgring
Le Mans
other tracks?

Promising indeed.

That's really great news! Thanks for the info! 👍
I wonder when did PD start modelling the Ferrari California... as it would take them around 6 months to model a car from sketch...

Polyphony and Ferrari are really having a great collaboration : that promotion clip for The California entirely made by Polyphony and kaz testing the F430 Scuderia on Ferrari Test Track !!

Oh by the way do you expect the Ferrari Test Track to be in GT5 ?

After that and now this? Yes, yes I do expect Ferrari to start giving us some love.
Perhaps we can presume to be getting quite an extensive collection of Ferrari's for GT5? Including perhaps old F1 cars?

Things I noticed also:

1.15 - GT5 Prologue sign at the end of the tunnel. Nice, we could be having this before the full GT5.

1.30-1.41 - The driver has no helmet. Looks like it at 1.30, but if you pause the video at 1.41, you can see that there's a face there. (EDIT: treed ... )

About 0.37 and the rocks we see by the side of the road. I don't know them also (at first I thought it could be El Capitan, but I don't recall those huge rocks so close to the tarmac). Could this be a mountain road?

I registered the following tracks...

eiger

HSR

Unknown track (to me) at 00:00:33

Sarthe

London

Nuerburg Ring

I think the "Unknown Track" is Grand Valley Speedway, going by the bridge the Ferrari crosses. I could be wrong though.

Yes, Ferrari is really embracing PD and looking at this as a partnership. PD has produced a multitude of one offs of GT5 for Ferrari's Paddock club this F1 seasons along with many "virtual drives" for various Ferrari models. It's part of Ferrari trying to embrace different markets and the like as a company. I must say they are doing an amazing job at it. For a company that has always been seen as very traditional or set in it's ways Ferrari has an amazing way to reinvent itself when it needs too.

As for Fiorano being in the game, it hit me last night that it pretty much has too be. Ferrari has many benchmarks for it's cars with it's test drivers around Fiorano. I would expect them to want it in game so they can use it for their own "virtual drive" discs but also for players to test themselves.

I didn't expect the California to be in GT5 but I do expect the Enzo to show up in GT5 as I do some of the famous Ferraris over the years, maybe 3-4 of the ones everyone knows.

I for one would love to see some of the 1950s F1 cars. Or maybe a Ferrari F1 car from each decade? I'd love to see a full (race) GT version of the F430 as well as a F430 Scuderia.

For a guy that always considered himself a Porsche guy I have to admit that I only see red anymore. If Porsche does end up in GT5 (finally) then I will be split. Right now I pretty much only drive the expensive red cars.

who cares ? It just highly suggest that Polyphony and Ferrari are so close that they allow them to model their car about 6 months before their official introduction ,it's very encouraging regarding ferrari new cars to come and cars not mentioned yet as F50,Enzo,288 GTO or the FXX !

PD also has close working relationships with BMW, Nissan and Ford. They have done all of the same things with those makes as they are now doing with Ferrari. For example, PD released a demo disc of the BMW 1-series 8 months before the car was released for sale. Look at the GT-R and PD's input there along with all the work they do with Nissan and Nismo. The Ford GT was a big deal for Kaz and PD as well.

How on earth did you find that Fred? Very good find indeed....did anyone listen to the
"Hear" section on the website? That thing sounds amazing!! I only hope it sounds that sweet in GT5.....I hope it's in the fall update as well.

for me , it's look like to be the new version of "el capitan" , the corner after the tunnel in " normal "

the rocks near the road may render a more réalistic mountain road

may be I'm wrong and it's "gran valley" or a full new track ..............:)
