Ferrari California will be in GT5 Prologue (Video)

May I ask the mods why this was moved to GT5 forum when in the video you can clearly see GT5: Prologue banners? This is more likely to be a Prologue feature than GT5....
I figured this is for updates and speculation of GT5, so better for this forum than GT5:P.

All we can do is hope it isn't the "big update" and wait.
we know that it isn't the big update, because:
  • it's not in the fall
  • it doesn't contain what they said it would
The only reason they put out a press info on this update is that it makes too many changes to just throw it in and see what happens.

The unknown track is Trial Mountain from GT4, one of my favorite tracks 👍

Are you sure about that?

Looks more like Costa di Amalfi to me.

On the topic of tracks; where's Midfield Raceway?

In my opinion, thats the best track to ever be included in a GT game. :P
Offtopic: I think that is really off topic..

And by the way, do you think they would have all tracks finished already? Calm down kid. :dunce:

I'm actually wonderinf if PD's connection to Ferrari, at semi-connection to FIAT through Ferrari, might also gain us some Maseratis. However, this might be less likely as Ferrari no longer directly controls Maserati.

And if we can have Alfa Romeo 8C it will be awesome.

I think that rocky track must be something new and gosh it looks good.... I hope its point to point! This trailer makes up for the lack of stuff at E3... they should have shown this! :sly:

They used a guy without a helmet to make it more natural as an advert... having a helmeted driver would make it less appealing to consumers...I hope PD gives the option to have plain clothed drivers or customized appearances in GT5...... maybe your Home avatar could drive! In GT4 when you used the model T you were dressed in period racing gear so it makes sense.

Im hoping the California will make it into a GT5P update and maybe some new or existing GT track.

Just a thought, if they have this tie in with Ferrari could we expect demo discs like we saw with Toyota and BMW?

That, probably has a good chance of happening. We already have the "slightly" new Brera which is only a couple years old.

I made the following screenshots at 0:22 to 0:24. Those are reflections of timbered houses. Any idea which track it could be?

You know it looks to me with a rock face one side and houses on the other like the famous coastal road that stretches from LA to and past Malibu (I drove on it a few weeks ago), behind the houses (beach houses) you have shores and beaches, would be a awesome road to cruise in your Ferrari Califonia

Makes sense considering to name of the car.

Don't give me technicalities! It may not be very "big," but it's a lot bigger than any of the other updates so far.

Spec II was a huge update, you just came late to the game. :)

There is also the possibility that this rocky corner is just something they created for this video, and the on car reflections are the same houses we already have in the german village location. :dunce:👍

The Le Sarthe and Nurburgring shots are still just the GT4 models in the GT5 rendering engine. Cant wait to see the real GT5 models of these tracks.

Very nice find!

I really like that ferrai!
Cant't wait to hit the streets with it!.

And All we can do is hope that The nurg and le mans will be included in the next update for gt5p.

For improved GT4 models, the Nur and Le Mans still look impressive. No doubt the real tracks will look better, but I would just be happy if we got the GT4 versions in the Spec III update. And I'd have to agree with moxtau - I don't think that stretch of road alongside the mountain and large rocks is a real track. It didn't look like it was going anywhere, so it was probably created specifically for the ad. Still nice to see Ferrari taking advantage of GT for marketing though. Also good to see some real info - as in not a rumor - finally come, because Polyphony hasn't been saying much...

Is always good to have a new ferrari!

I think maybe in the future we should also have this one:

Guys, PD are just teasing you guys with the 'official' details of the new update.
They will surprise us with 3 new tracks and 4 new cars.
That's all I have to say for now.

could it be Citta di Aria track? There are houses very close to the road and it is quite narrow.
