Further explanation of theme, in the words of our first H2H winner for GT5, sejtur:

This may be kinda tricky because it has no real boundaries, other than that the car must
have alot of reflections. In this game, photo's with reflections always look very good,
so probably the photo with the most reflections will win!

The reflections I'm talking about have to be on the car, so no matte paint, or chrome.

CARS: any
LOCATIONS: any
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: no matte or chrome paint.

  • You may submit one entry. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and either post the
change in a new reply, or in place of the original. USERS ATTEMPTING TO ENTER BOTH WILL BE DQ'd.
  • When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linking to the full-size image.
  • A preview image is not only allowed, but encouraged! However, preview images can not exceed
500 pixels in either direction. This includes borders or drop shadow effects, keep that in mind.
  • A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
  • If opting to not use a preview image, and simply a thumbnail, an Honourable Mention thumb
    may be posted as well.
  • No full-size images posted in thread; your entry will be ignored.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Winner gets to choose the following week's theme, as well as the poll. Every fourth week, the
poll will be H2H style: entries must choose a "team", and the best from each poll faces off.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

Nice pictures already! I suggest that you guys make 500*xxx previews because it can help with the votes and it's easier to see what kind of photo you just clicked on. ;)

Iggy, when I click nothing happens.

Great job Jamie! The lines and shape of the car makes it look like someone poured the reflections on top of the car like water.

Sharpen

I didn't think it would be that hard to get a decent reflection.

Balang - I like that .. very nice

TVR - always awesome. lol

Justin - There isn't enough focus on the reflections in this shot for me (personally), I see the car, not the reflections. Quick Tip - use a dark colored car. Works wonders on a comp like this. High reflectivity.

Iggy - Nice reflection of the Colosseum.

SuperVeloce - I would say for you to try and retake that one with the headlight off/down. It's a bit distracting, but excellent reflections.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm going to try again.👍

I'm raising the stakes this week:

For all those who enter, there's a prize this week: I'll be gifting my newly-acquired Red Bull X2010 (zero mileage :)) to whomever ends up winning this week's contest. So yes, you'll be getting it five days after Christmas... but a gift's a gift!

Holy crap some stiff competition and a really juicy prize! This week shall be interesting. :mischievous:

TVR&FF, atlop, Suzq: All amazing shots 👍 I really like your runner-up too Suzq.

I dont know if this is my best, but, i like it. might change it after looking at the others more carefully :)

Mubble that's different.. probably about as different as taking the GoKart to phototravel though. Nice shot. Lots of Colosseum shots so far.

EmptySpace Dude, that looks like Tron. LOL

 Thanks! I hadn't seen anyone do it in GT5 yet so I thought I'd give it a go. Being able to render the photos at huge resolutions is absolutely awesome and makes editing a breeze!

I'm loving your entry BTW, those reflections look like decals on the car
