The FIA GT1 World Championship is where some of the worlds most iconic sports car manufacturers come together to battle it out on the best circuits in Motorsport. Four different cars, 16 drivers and 8 teams. It's time to race!

Races will be held on Sunday afternoons GMT time (Around 17:00 GMT)

All driving aids apart from ABS are disallowed. ABS is limited to 1.

FIA GT1 Race Edits:

Race Edits:
Race 1:

Teams:

*Everyone will be placed into teams of two. Drivers can pick their teammates or enter the championship with them if they want.

*Only 4 of each car can be used. For example, if two different teams are using the Lamborghini, someone else cannot enter in the Lamborghini too.

Points System:

The drivers will receive the points for certain finishing position. These points will add up over the season, and the driver with the most points wins the FIA GT1 Series 1 Championship. The points system is as follows:

1st: 25 pts.
2nd. 18 pts.
3rd. 15 pts.
4th. 12pts.
5th. 10pts.
6th. 8pts.
7th. 6pts.
8th. 4pts.
9th. 2pts.
10th. 1pt.

Qualifying:

*We will have 15 minute long Qualifying sessions before the race.

* Once you have entered qualifying, you are not allowed to exit. If you need new tyres, you finish your lap, pit and continue. If you leave to lounge and rejoin we may suspect you to be illegaly tuning your car.

* When coming in and out of the pits, make sure you stay within the white/yellow lines. Failure to do so may lead to a time penalty.

* If you are on your outlap, inlap or a lap where you have made a mistake, make sure you move when other racers are coming past.

* No stopping on the track is allowed.

* NO Contact is allowed in qualifying, nor is any blocking. Make sure you have a nice gap between you and your fellow competitors so that events like this do not occur.

Warm-Up Lap:

*At the start of a race, the cars will set off at cruise speed (60 - 100 MPH) around the track for one lap.

*Cars will then return to thier respective grid slot, park up and wait for everyone else to return.

*Tyre warming is allowed in the warm-up lap, such as agressively weaving or burnouts.

*Drivers are expected to keep a distance between themselves and everyone else on the Warm-up lap. We do not want any crashes.

*Once the drivers return to thier grid position, they will wait until TeamLotus_Eclat calls a number out. (Example 2:00.000) This means that once the 'Total Time' timer reaches this certain number, the drivers are free to launch thier cars into the race.

*If someone launches too early, even if it is only slightly, they may be subject to a Time Penalty. (Example: 0.1 second early = 5 second penalty)

Racing:

*This is a clean racing series.

* No collisions or blocking on purpose are allowed.

*If you hit a driver off of the track or cause them to spin, pull to the side of the circuit to let them through again.

*Nudges and taps are generally accepted in motorsport, however, pushing someone wide to gain a place will earn you a penalty.

* Do not quit the race in anger. It is a long race, anything can happen.

* Backmarkers have to let race leaders through.

* Upon entering and leaving the pits, stay within the white/yellow lines.

* Pit stops ARE madnatory. You will have to pit atleast once in each race.

* If you have suffered due to one of these rules being broken, do NOT talk about it in the chat. Simply file the complaint towards one of the stewards and wait for a decision to be made. We do not want any animosity between racers.

The list below was drawn up after hours of testing. Cars were tested both on time trial and racing ability. While all cars tested were within 0.2 seconds per lap there may be slight discrepancies in performance, it is up to you to make the right choice based on power, handling and drive train. Please note that requests for vehicle tests will be declined. Thank you to Sumo098 who originally helped me devise this list.

Yay. Forgot to mention the teams part. You want to team with me in the Ford GT? :)

Since you've re-tuned the cars I'll give them all a go. Though I am leaning towards the GT simply due to the fact I love them. :D

If you could change it to 7PM i'd be more than interested 👍

Well, looks like all the testing I did was all for nothing...

I was looking at doing this exact same thing. :(

Well, do you want to join? Could do with ideas :)

I put all the parts on the LP-670 SV and it weighs 1268KG rather then 1320KG. Should there be ballast on that list?

No ballast.

There was in the 1st place, but I removed it and forgot to change the other figure.

I think I'm going to go with the Corvette. Would go with the GTR, but I know that even with a 10/90 setup, it still likes to run wide.

Regarding tuning, it is alright before race day to set our cars up for the race, right? This should be cool when Spec-II comes out, multiple tuning setups!

Also, on both of your Series's (Japanese Classics and this one) do I have to send a request to TeamLotus_Eclat? I already have you on my friends list, so I was just wanting some clarification on this.

EDIT: I'm unable to do Fridays. I've got school! :(

5 days now and no interest.

I spend ages on testing too.

Thinking of closing this down.

How many have joined so far? some people just won't join until a date is set but if there is too many spaces left that won't be enough.

I was just about to join by the way, have no team mate so i'll take whoever is free ^^

Ok ill add you to the list

I'd love to join but as I said it's impossible to make it for me because I got school. I even bought the car and everything, was about to start making a setup for Daytona when I checked how much time I had and found out it would be 11 AM here on a Friday. :( I was looking forward to some GT1 fun!

I think I will work on another series for Sundays, or change this to sunday.

Sundays would work perfectly for me if you decide to change it. I think it may attract a lot more people too, as quite a lot of members have school or work at the time.
