Welcome To Season One Of:
The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge!

This series is based off of the real life racing series, The Grand Am Continental Tire Series! Like in the real series, we will be running both classes, GS, and ST. GS stands for Grand Sport. This is the faster of the two classes. The second class is ST, which stands for Street Tuner. These are slower cars, but just as much fun! Both classes will have NO GT Auto aero upgrades...

Races will be held on Fridays. They will start about 6:30 USA Eastern time (GMT -5) and the race will be about 30 minutes, and the room will be open and finished in about a hour and a half.

Any mods are allowed, as long as your at the given hp and kg limit for the car.

And I forgot to put the registration in the OP, I'm going to do that like... Now... So if you guys could all register with that, that would be great!

Possibly.

And my Internet just went out.... Again..... Time for a new provider??...I think so....

You should allow body kits but no 'wings'. The cars look a lot better that way IMO. Gives a sense these aren't just stock cars but have some mods to them. How about that? Kinda like ITCC.

Yea, that makes sense.

IRL Grand-am likes to say the CTSCC has a "Showroom Stock" format. This means no body kits, spoilers, wings, etc... I know some cars do. This is because they come on the standard model of the car.

Btw on your reg page you've listed the Golf GTI V '05 as a Golf R32 '12. (Which doesn't exist ;))

Also Cnd Bryans 370z (Irl) doesn't look very stock to me ;).

I'm not arguing with you CND, but these cars irl aren't "showroom stock". The Subaru and Nismo Z are good indications of this. They do have body kits on them. The BOSS 302 is another example.

That's why I put "Showroom Stock" in parenthesis lol. Grand-Am has a distorted viewpoint sometimes. I like the added aero parts. I am not against it in any way.

I was just stating an opinion too :), though I had a look at some of the cars and some are sorta stock lol M3 for eg.

They do. the BOSS 302's wing is an option for the car when you buy it. It isn't adjustable. I have been through the CTSCC garage at the season opener at Daytona RC. The body is the same basic dimensions as the street version except maybe for the 370Z. I know that Nissan has become an official sponsor of Grand-Am now. That might have something to do with it. The 370Z wasn't at Daytona for the opener.

I have to run the challenger. It has amazing handling for such a big car on GT5.

cnd, you actually care about the handling of a car? I've become more of a redneck than the guy from Alabama?

I like the Aston Martin because it looks nice and has a big motor!

Sod this, looks like the Aston's gone. To the VW :sly:. Though the Nissan... Sod it I like most of these cars. Anything but the fake one.
