Not quite the back sim tires but good enough:tup:
Good one GoKents!

Oh god... I've just spent my day trying to beat license test times on various Seattle tests and cursing the track every chance I got - now this.

Woo! I need liquor.

Could've made it two laps :dopey:

It looks like another great combo, no reason to take a break.

Hehe, I know which I hate more out of topping out or spinning out. Definitely topping out lol. Anyway. this is fun, feels painfully slow cause of the precarious throttle control, but:

T1 = 33.360
T2 = 1.20.004

I was on a quicker lap but stuffed it in a spin coming off the back straight :)

A Shelby.... Cobra... I don't have one. Nor do I want one... I might.. Just might.. run this one. very slim chance.

Well I've done about 100kms around seattle and I love it. It's the most fun I've ever had on GT and I'm serious. It's a very sensitive car and it tells you when you've got things wrong by swapping ends several times. Very, VERY good combo Kent!

Just a convo between me and Eagle a few minutes ago:
~Eãglé~ says:
oh god
~Eãglé~ says:
where is the grip
~Eãglé~ says:
4 gears?
~Eãglé~ says:
that's it
~Eãglé~ says:
shoot it, put it out of it's misery

...And you Americans called this a sports car? no brakes, no susp. but heaps of grunt to compensate

Having teeth pulled would almost be more fun than this, almost :D

Definately a good challenge here Kent 👍

Having a bit of a struggle ATM, but have a best T2 (and fastest lap so far) of a 1:18.7, lost some time in the last sector, so should be able to run a decent time by the end of the week

So, it looks like Kents liked my suggestion, but the lack of aids and the track choice will make this a VERY challenging race. Good thing I learned to drive without the driver's aids in high powered cars! Just be VERY generous with the throttle when the car isn't pointed perfectly straight.

I've run some laps, and Kents, this car desperately needs the racing tranny. Otherwise it's an interesting drive, with the crappy brakes and the jello suspension. I'm gonna have fun with this week!

I've run some T1s in the low 31s range, and my best T2 is 1'14.8xx, and it was almost clean (my back end touched the wall on the exit of the turn after the uphill section).

*edit* ignore those times, they were run with super softs.

T1 : 33.506
T2 : 1.20.5

Very hard one Kents! I just can't get the feeling in that car almost like it hate's me :grumpy: :scared:

Bear with me...
Completely stock? Means running on normal tyres right? (only my 4th week of competetion so I have to keep checking on the rules. Sorry!)

Love this idea, especially the no driver aids bit!

What HP is everyone getting once Cobra is broken in?

I'll be back with some provisional T-times later.....

I thought we were allowed to run on super slicks as usual, but we will have to wait for the word from Kents. Although that would explain why I have 4 seconds on the next fastest driver.

As for hp, my Cobra has 70 miles on it, and it's got 509hp on clean oil. So I'm expecting 510-520 hp once fully broken in.

Not for me this week, I'm afraid. I don't have much fun driving these slippy cars. Perhaps if I had a wheel/pedals, it'd be easier to regulate the throttle, but the ds2's analog buttons are pants, and i've never switched to right stick accel. Mostly, though, i find it uninvolving when I'm spending most of my time trying to keep the car from sliding.

Good luck to everyone and see you next week.

Farewell guys,GoKents thinks I'm not to be trusted so I Won't return to this site before I get trouble with you.Farewell! :guilty:

Well running away will make us all think you're not to be trusted....

Yes. Why not try to prove that you can be trusted. Getting in a strop won't help anything.

Seeing as how this car is just sitting im my garage, I suppose I can run this week for the cost of an oil change. After 10 laps of getting acquanted with the car, my best t3 is around 1:24 on a "sunday drive" lap.

Does this car even have brakes? I think I'd be better off opening the door and dragging my foot on the pavement.

Oh well, the only way to go at this point is up. :)

I am saddend to hear about his TS020.

I suggest that any one wondering about this situation go here.

And if that doesn't work, try this going to here.

Or just try going to the bottom of the first page of the week 73 results.

No flaming, but don't be scared to weigh in... this isn't my racing series, it is our racing series.

I just mod it, but you all keep it alive.

And so, you deserve to know what is going down.

Once again, I am sorry this had to happen TS020.

TS020,If you dont have a replay device, your data logger
sector times will go a long way to proving yourself. If people
question your times, you should feel good,as people are taking notice
of your improvements.
In one of the other forums,I was placed on the "suspicious drivers list".
This was only a couple of weeks ago.Even if I didn't have a Sharkport,I would have sent my logger times first, and if there were still questions,it is worth it
to me to send my memory card with the replay on it.
Where will you race when GT4 comes out if you have been labeled as suspicious?
Changing your name may work for a bit,but usually doesn't last, because of ip address, etc.
It is,after all,just a game,right?
Just my .02......

**EDIT**I had not seen his responses,as gokents and I posted about the same time. The above would be true for anyone, but TS020's pm's speak for themselves.
Too bad.

I'm very dissapointed about you GoKents 👎
It may be that Kent's suspicion is unfounded. May be. But the burden is on you to provide clear, believable backup for your claimed laptimes. So far you have not. This disqualifies you from future competition anywhere in real OLR, until you clear up the issue. That's not Kent's fault in any way - that's yours to deal with. The person you should be disappointed with is yourself.

The OLR community is 100% based upon trust. If each and every racer cannot be trusted to be honest, then it really damages the entire competition. Therefore, each and every racer must do everything they can to make sure they are trustworthy. That means providing requested information, not crying about not being trusted.

Entering an F1 car in the Beginners races is against the spirit of Gran Turismo. And not being completely open and honest is against the spirit of online racing. That's why OLR organizers and marshalls are very scrupulous about making sure their competitions are trustworthy.

TS020
What should I do?
Submit the requested information. Kent was very clear in what he asked for about Week 73. Instead of getting shirty about not being trusted, borrow or buy a controller so you can prove you are correct (assuming your controller really is broken). And don't submit any more new race information until you have your old issues cleared up.

I'm racing the Castrol Supra at r246, so I will have a little less time for this.

I ran 5 laps and so far I have a t1 of 33.0 and t2 of 1'19.6
