Nice lap Eagle 👍

Got all excited & saved over my best clean lap so far with this one, but I've just run it through the analyser and there's a suspicion of a wall touch but it's obscured by the trees coming out of the sharp right at the top of the hill.

T1 32.691
T2 1'17.954

Best keep at it until I know its a perfect lap....need to get a definite clean one saved!!

Dang, how people are getting 1'17.9 T2 times is beyond me; I can hardly get a 1'21 on a good lap. How many laps have people been jogging with this thing?

I've got just over 360k down so far I believe.

This car could benefit from a number of things - a replacement being foremost on my list.

Smallhorses: lol, oops. Sorry to hear about your save mixup. What division are you in? I don't see you on the list o_O

Think I've put in about 200 miles so far!
Still feel there's bags of time to shave off this lap if I can
a) stop wheelspinning
and b) keep the car in a straight line!

@Eagle I'm in Div 1 (only joined the OLR and GT Planet about a month ago) first race was the Tahiti Maze (Week 70) but a little confusion on my part, (not realising I had to submit my Div with my times each week!) has led to me being posted in all 3 divisions so far! I've rectified that now & happily propped up Div 1 last week in my EVO VI!

@UB57 I'm a DS2 user too! Even using the D-pad, as I hate the analog sticks!

Odd, I hate the D-Pad for driving, I've always used the sticks. But hopefully a Driving Force wheel is in my future.

New times of 33.185 and 1'18.839. Those were attained after a very stressful 20 lap session, I only improved my time right at the very end. Thankfully, the lap is clean :D

Still tons of time out there for me.

This is extremely fustrating, but at the same time, loadsa fun. Good one GoKents 👍

 That's where I am too. I was struggling for 1'22 and was ready to make a post with that time. Then suddenly out of the blue my 1'20.401, and now I've been chasing that ghost the last couple of sessions trying to catch up. I can see more time out there, but it's very hard to make it perfect with the Cobra through all those obstacles. I'm now at 300km and still struggling. :D

New best lap has a 32.6/1'18.1 - only 0.2s better at the T2, yet the lap is 1.2s quicker... Ossum!

I can see another 0.8s to be gained, but with a big, fat "IF" attached. :D

Yeah, the last section can be tricky, especially if your hands are sweaty.

Hi,
Getting better with each lap.New England winter driving
skills seems to help.I may look closer @ drifting after this week.
32.?
1:17.?

I'm slightly curious what our longest sector times are (the back straight... :D). It seems to be the key indicator of a fast lap. My two best laps have both had 12.9s, and every time I've gone up above 13.0s I've had a 1'xx.xxx (about 2-3s slower than my current time).

66mph
12.941
115mph
T2-1:17.8

68mph
12.820
116mph
T2-1:17.3 (.497 faster lap than the above)

67mph
12.847
116mph
T2-1:17.4 (.283 faster than the immediately above)

I ran a few last night (nothing clean...grrrr)
The 1:17.3-T2 is with a T1 of 31.9
The 1:17.4 is with a 32.5

I figure a 1:16.x T2 is there for the taking.

As I'm leaving for Sonoma tomorrow, I hope a clean run is in the cards tonight.

63mph (I wish I had pedals...)
13.126
Avg speed 114mph

I'm curious, do you guys let the rev limiter bounce or do you try and hold the speed at the point where the limiter kicks in? If I do it properly, I can manage to hit 137mph coming down the hill, which must get me an easy couple of hundreths of a second.

I've run some fast T1s, including a 32.4xx. New fastest T2 is 1'18.4xx, clean. Every time I do a run, I find more speed, and I hate to say it, but I'm starting to actually like the car

Hmm, max hp appears to be 509 hp, which is after 260 miles and an oil change.

I found from a very, very dull Test Course run that if you let the car approach the limiter slowly, it'll reach a higher peak speed than if you just keep it mashed.

Just put in some more laps on this, taking advantage of the wife being out, dragged armchair to the center of the living room, and got the Cobra sound ringing out of 5 channels of Bose Acoustimass speakers! Surround sound baby!
Added reality bonus? 0.5s off the above lap time overall & clean as a whistle, although the T-times are slightly slower, I nailed the last sector! Got this one saved now, and another 0.6s quicker still, but there's 2 tiny wall grazes! Using that one as the ghost and I'm damned well going to beat it!!! :banghead:
My clean lap now has.....

T1 32.707
T2 1'18.187

This is as much fun as poking myself in the eye with a fork! :yuck:

My POS old Volvo handles better than this thing! 👎

Jesus, slow or what?

In the 17.9s now.

Have run a 17.7, but total lap time was .2 slower than a previous (slight wall tap, lost about .5km/h:mad: )lap

best T1 has been a 32.1 but then promptly chucked it in the wall, figure (with myself) I could take almost a second of my current time but as Famine said earlier, thats a big "IF"

Well colour me lazy, I didn't try improving my time, it still seems somewhat respectable and I really didn't enjoy this combo much so I didn't bother running again to try and catch the Div 1 guys.

Looking forward to whatever next week brings.

Snap - although I like the combo... :D

I just don't think I can improve significantly any more. Effort vs Reward and all that jazz.

Well, the only time I have this week is crap and I can't seem to improve on it at all. I'm not going to bother submitting it, but am just going to let people know that next week I probably will not be able to participate because of Band Camp. :(

Didn't have any time to race this week, i will probably not submit a time but good luck to all.

Band Camp, rofl. This is just me, but I'd submit whatever you have, however bad you may think it is, you may be surprised. Even Minardi scores points sometimes, but you gotta be in it and all that. (Not trying to make people too competitive, it's just, you clearly put some time into running, may as well throw it in there and acknowledge your own efforts).

exactly right 👍

Race time submitted, just didnt have the patience, left almost .6 out there judging by my best sector times

Bring on Week#75:)
