The BEST thing about GT4 (music)

Not really BUT, it gives you the feel good emotions after you miserably fail a license test by playing the song from Ferris Bueler.

"chicka chicka chicka chi-gaaaaaa, bown wown"

I havent screwed around with the playlist for in-game music, because I generally dont listen to it. Does anyone know if that song is in the Ingame playlist. I want to play it while driving a shelby cobra or something. No ferrari, so the shelby will do.

There is some pretty off the wall music in this game. Has anyone found nay other strange music selections?

Music in GT4 is good for one thing... nothing ^_^.

the first thing i'm gonna turn off in GT4 is music, default should be off for racing, on for replay (i even dislike it in replays).

but i'm sure that when i'm bored i'll check the music out on the options menu...

omg i hate the fail music. that music actually motivates me to not fail a test :embarrassed:

I have all music turned off in GT4. I play my own music on winamp .... lol

"Panama" by Van Halen is in the game. I suppose I would listen to that song, if I listened to music while playing. But, I don't, so I wont. I guess you can add "The Summer Song" by Joe Satriani in there too.

There are many, really many tracks. I saw once a picture of the whole track list but i lost it and can´t find again. That´s what i am looking for.

The song from Bueler's Day Off is by Yello Stella, a totally 80's band with some nice sounds under their belt...
Back on Topic, I don't mind the music until it becomes repetative (about 60 hours in, it seems?) At that point it turn it off in favor of SPX.

If u mean what past record i did use for a base time, it was Sough´s time 1"03.363.

They need some Soundgarden and other music from the original Road Rash in the GT series. That was racing music - none of this 'Papa Roach'.

Cheers for the music listings. Personnally I only play the music during the replays, as like some many other people, I want to hear that engine note.

I know this is a massive long shot...........but has anyone downloaded the music off the DVD yet? If so, would someone be kind enough to post them up so we could download them.

I usually have MP3's playing in the background during GT. Isn't it amazing that games such as Ridge Racer, and Need For Speed can have good music, but GT just finds whatever american songs they can license and throws them in there. I just don't get it.

yeah right, GT2 had the best music... those 5 tracks altogether... i was so fed up with taht fatboy slim after 2hrs endurance, and constantly the gamed played only one track....

now, i noticed that there is alsko Erik Satie in GT4 soundtrack. this surely isn't music for racing, so where is it played, in menus?
don't get me wrong, Satie is one of my favorite classical composers, but i wouldn't race with that playing on.

and in the end, the music list doens't matter with me beacuse i am usually listening to my mp3player while playing...although that coul change, because i wanna hear the 'realistic' engine sonuds and wind whoosh effect
