Another Gran Turismo?
Polyphony at work on yet another Gran Turismo.

March 31, 2003 - Polyphony Digital is hard at work on a simplified, training version of Gran Turismo that will be used to teach first-time drivers how to drive, according to online gaming site Games Are Fun. What exactly "simplified" means is unclear, but since the game will be used with beginner drivers, expect very little in the ways of customization, and more emphasis on driving physics and environment interaction.
The game is being worked on in conjunction with automobile maker Volkswagen, and will utilize the still-in-development Gran Tursimo 4 engine. The still untitled game will not be for sale in retail stores, so unless you plan on getting another driver's license, chances of playing the game may be slim.

No other details have been announced, but check back with IGN for more news regarding this amusing title.

GT used for driver's training? VW? I guess power sliding a Bug would be fun. :)

Polyphony works on a simplified Gran Turismo
Bloomberg is reporting that Polyphony Digital, the developer responsible for the Gran Turismo series and Omega Boost, and automobile manufacturer Volkswagen want to work in conjunction to create a simplified, training version of Gran Turismo. The "game" will be based off of the engine used in the in-development Gran Turismo 4, which doesn't have a release date. The joint project won't be sold on the market, but will be used instead to help beginners learn how to drive.

Of course it would be true as Toyota, Nissan and plenty of other car makers have their own personalised games. :)

Wow, thats bloody amazing Mustang man you can see some improvements in the engine already. Although the menu looks to be based on GTC.

On other notes I saw a magazine in Whsmith today that had GT4 plastered all over it. I flicked threw a few pages and found the article and was greeted with a picture of 4 or 5 skylines tackling the final corner of trial mountain. I was like "big deal thats just a GT3 screenshot" untill I noticed the GT-R concept from GTC. Although it could have been a promo pic, it looked more like a screen capture.

Anyone in the UK can check this out, just look for a PS2 mag with a Tom's castrol supra on it.

Shall I IMG tag em here?

Too bad i'm doing it anyway. :D
