The FINAL specs are up, just click on the car specs button in the OP. All 6 cars were within a couple tenths of each other at Silverstone International. I don't think I can get them any closer than that. Please take note that all cars have a stage 3 weight reduction now, but are brought back up to spec weight using ballast. The hp & weight numbers I had before could not be enforced through room settings, so I had to move them around a bit so that I could.

With that said, I have a testing room open at the moment set to friends only if anyone wants to hop in. Just send me a friend request if you haven't done so already. Make sure you put 'FMSC' in the message so I know what it's for. 👍

I just left the office so I'm going to pound some Taco Bell and throw in a load of laundry then I should be on.

Thanks to both of you guys for putting in all the hard work to get this series organized again. I really appreciate it and have to say that FMSC has always been my favorite series.

cool I'll button up the www stuff later. 👍

wow, you use a crazy wide cheater line at that loop crossover. :P

At Chapel?

He said, " exit at chapel is wide open, use all the track you need."

I'm no criminal, I make sure I can cheat before I do it.

Wide exit at Chapel is legal. No way to police it, and if everyone gets to use it there's no real advantage. This will all be lined out in the usual pre-race information posts I make. 👍

Any body give me a idea of lap times around Silverstone.
Without over working the car I'm low 19's, high 18's in one of the '89 models. Best of 18.4xx at one point by myself. Wardez shattered that though just now, so has me worried I neutered the '89's a bit too much. :scared:

Makes me feel better. Current best is a 18.7 with the 89. I found that the 97 to be the fastest... Best in the 97 is 17.9

Here's a video of my 1:17.895

Sorry for the potato quality, the raw file was way to big for me to edit down, so I opted for capturing video off video :/

Very nice Wardez. R1600 I may end up changing to the 97... The 89 needs more power to keep up with the newer ones.

Which is weird because I couldn't get them to go that fast. Just goes to show I'm losing my touch. I have absolutely no idea what to do now but take some weight off the '89's.

Edit: I am also debating switching to quick tire wear.

Joining in! Did a quicktune on my car and threw it out there did a mid 1:19, with some more tuning I bet I at least get well into the 1:18s

Biggest difference I found is the stabilty and lift oversteer seems to be less. in the 93/95/97.

Guess I'll figure something else out tomorrow. I think the issue here is that the early cars are faster at Brands, so we added weight to slow them down but now the later cars are faster at a different track. Just have to try and find the middle ground.

Edit: And find faster drivers than myself to test them properly.

We're too far along to do that now. And the only reason I went with the "standard" NA's this time around was because they are all 90% premium now. NB's are stock completely standard.

Edit: The Information button in the OP is live.

Possibly just select one of them? Kind of a Spec Miata class with one particular model?

I didnt know that.. Well looks like there is gonna have to be a middle ground found between the 2 different cars and specs..

Tomorrow evening I will take my 89/97 around brands hatch and see what lap times I'm running. As I typically only tune for one race at a time. I will report back with my findings.

ahhh... coffee maker just finished. So I'll re-spec my car and hop on shortly.

don't feel bad, that cheater line works in real cars too.

though the "official" line is to stay inside the kerb rather than mowing straight over it. ;)

still sad that they nerf'd the crest in GT5. It's pretty blind and scary IRL.

I got down to a 1:17.72 in the '98, not sure what a pole time will be, it take a few laps to get the tank low enough to do sub 17s (about 11~) so a qualifying run may have us at 18.000.

hey Jason.... on the '91 I can give it 97.8% power and still be 378pp/157hp
378?

Edit: Should be 387. Just took 20kg off the '89, best of 1:18.124. And I can't get the '97 to go any faster than an 18.3.

Can someone who is running 17's in some of the cars take an '89 for a spin at 940kg and let me know what you run? I just don't have the skills to do it.
