You know, I don't think I've taken one lap around in the Delta Wing anywhere. :scared: How does it handle?

IMO, it can be a little tricky... obviously, it's back-heavy... and the positioning of the front wheels allow for some pretty sharp cornering, but you have to finesse it on the slow corners without any aids as the back wheels will desperately try to become your front wheels. Fast corners almost feel like you're floating through them, though.

So the Viper is $1.45 mil. The Audi $1.98 mil. The 787B $2.1 mil. Total = $5.53 mil.
Ford Falcon for Bathurst is $1.15 mil.
All cars together would be $6.68 mil.

If people have the necessary credits to buy the Le Mans cars ($5.53 mil), we'll plan to do that. But again, I'll need to know from the others: 1. if they have enough credits or can grind for them the next couple of days (if they already have the cars, this question can be ignored), and 2. are they planning to race assuming they do have the necessary credits (or cars already). Or...

I figure most people can afford the $1.15 mil for the Falcon, so Bathurst can be easily run. Would people rather run that this week knowing that fact?

If everyone has at least $6.68 mil, then they're good to go either way. Everything seems kinda :boggled: right now.

I'll take a crack at some laps in the cars as well. See how we compare. Thanks for info 👍

Edit: Did a short stint in the Viper. Ran a 3:45 on the 4th lap (counting the out-lap). Looks like 3:45's-3:50's. Tire wear seemed pretty good. My left front went to 9 after 2 laps, and the others followed shortly. However, after finishing the additional 2 laps, they were still at 9's. Don't know how close to 8's they were. Either way, it doesn't look like tire wear will be a huge issue, so not much slower lap times. Fuel is no issue at all. Will edit again after a run in the Audi, then Mazda.
Edit 2: Ran a couple of 3:29's on laps 3 and 4 in the Audi. Tire wear and fuel about the same as the Viper. Probably looking at mostly low-mid 3:30's, with some faster (and slower if you go off track) lap times.
Edit 3: Not perfect laps, but I ran a couple 3:21's in the 787. Tire wear and fuel again appear to be similar. Though there may be a lap added on, possibly creating a little drama on worn tires. I will check out the racing time calculator and post how many laps I think we're likely going to be running.

Final Edit (hopefully ): 8 laps in the Viper, 9 in the Audi (a bit over 30 minutes), and 9 laps in the Mazda I believe will be the plan. I'll PM Phish.

A few of us were running some Le Mans practice last night after HST, was hitting similar times (didn't quite hit the 3:21 in the 787, but I think that's because I'm a little scared of it in the 2nd and 3rd gear corners), but all in all I'm feeling good about time.

Let's do this!

Hey Turtles!

I will be Hosting Tonight for the FLEX Series!

Room Number will be posted on the thread, Hope to see all of you tonight at La Sarthe! 👍

hey @Ph1sher , the girl is out of town this weekend, so i'm gonna try to get in here on this. it would be the first time doing the flex series, we'll see how this pans out :) what's the average amount of racers?

I've grinded one junior and one standard championship at 130% and I'm at 2,600,000, so I will definitely be there tonight!

depends..hey @Dolph Drago Average?
Been about 6 or so lately, though even the Enduro series has been light as well. It looks like we're going to have a decently large crowd tonight, which is awesome. And thank you for hosting, Phish. I'll be out for awhile tonight. Wasn't sure I would be able to open up a room by 9. Don't have to worry about that now. :D

does anyone have a video of in real life, a car touching the grass, and then it getting sucked off the track? cuz i refuse to believe that the tires with less grip in the grass override the tires on the pavement as far as where you can steer the car. at least, every time i've done it in real life i've been able to steer back on track.

I would like to see a video, too. The grass just sucks your car right in in GT. It's always annoyed me.

Great racing tonight guys! And congrats to all the winners. 👍 Race 2 was kind of rough due to the heavy damage. The front straight at the start was not kind to several of us. :grumpy: Apologies to getting into you, Racing. We could have had a good battle up with the front runners if I had been able to check up in time at the start.

man i was pissed last night about that grass crap, lol. Race 1, i was fighting for the lead, then a beetle reached out from the grass with a knife and popped my tire and looped it. Race 2, i got to first from mid pack quickly, then kept it clean and won. i think the faster guys got caught in traffic. to me, the audi is easy to control. Race 3. started last, after about 4/5 laps, i caught the leaders. then i slightly dropped 2 wheels in a straight. God came down with his fury and yanked my car right off the track, cuz you know, this is a simulator. in my disgust, some how my foot hit the power button on the ps3. 10 min later, i politely told the police there there was no domestic dispute at my house.

I have a suggestion, don't drive off the track!💡

You think if an lmp going 180mph gets a tire off track that they just steer right back on track? You guys crack me up sometimes:P

My biggest issue last night was not realizing Neil was going like 50mph on the starting grid at race 2 :banghead:
(Well, and that scary moment early in race 1 when i messed up and missed the braking at the end of mulsanne pt1. So lucky i missed you RO and Bionic i think it was. Luckily only i got the bad end of that error)

I had a blast though otherwise. I love that track and those cars drove surprisingly well. And an almost full room! Loved it. Thanks for letting me race guys.

Sidenote:
Some of us need to learn about track boundries and maybe reread the OLR again (good racecraft) (guidelines). It's always good to do a refresher.
Sure you can go wide at Tertre Rouge and go faster down the mulsanne straight. Doesn't mean you SHOULD. That isnt part of the track; all that concrete is there for safety reasons IRL
