I need a lot more practice with close racing like this. I struggle with it so much that I pretty much screw up almost every time. At least I got some in the first lap of this run.

Ha! I know exactly when this was. The other guy was "Fasterthanyou911" if I remember correctly.
First lap of the race, coming off the hairpin you guys went 3 wide and I couldn't get by! Haha.

Bad News at ANFD's movie studio .... the Elgato Capture Device has given me grief the whole time I've tried it. I thought I had finally got everything adjusted to it's liking but it still keeps dropping the video signal and then tonight it just turned my entire screen bright pink. Removing the device from the "pass-thru" mode fixes everything completely. I am sending it back to Amazon and have ordered the Happaugge (or however it's spelled) to replace it. I will still be uploading the one video I did manage (with great difficulty) to put together. Should be up by 8 or 9 am in the morning.

That's too bad ANFD! I am really excited to see div 2 videos. I also looked at buying a capture card, saw the happauge capture card and found good reviews about it. I hope when you receive it, it will be a lot easier to work on.

I was only able to manage consistent low 1.37's last night... I might go the slowly but surely strategy just like any turtle would be!

As I said, the Elgato is on it's way back and the Hauppauge is on it's way. Another issue with the Elgato is that it creates a mp4.ts file type automatically. This is an uncommon file type used exclusively for video to be streamed live (which is popular apparently) but not one that any editing software will import. I had to convert the file first in order to edit it and then create a different file type again to publish it, so I'm not impressed with the overall quality but it's still a good race video. The new device when it gets here does allow the capture software to internally convert the file to a standard mp4 so that will be much better.

Turtle Racing League - Wednesday night practice race for the Saturday main event combines drivers from all 3 divisions to run together in practice. The cars are the Toyota 86GT, the Scion FR-S and the Subaru BRZ. The track is Apricott Hill. Making this video reminded me what a great track this is, comprised of high speed sweeping turns and technical chicanes. It also makes it obvious how Turtle members are fast and aggressive, yet realize that the most fun found in the competition rests in the respect that they have for each other. (watch in 1080p). Also, I have no idea as to why or how RacingOtaku was competing incognito ?

I consider it a good video because the racing action was hot and furious. It is edited well but the image quality leaves a lot to be desired based on my previous explanation. The good part is that they will only get better from here

I say we 're run this race once i get my wheel. We can do it on a Sunday so it doesn't interfere with the schedule. It looks to good to pass up.. wife gave the okay today for me to purchase a t500rs. Just gotta wait for those damned w-2's to come in the mail before I can order.
