What a incredible run tonight.

I had fixed a pedal problem that was causing partial throttle and some flutter. Wondered why I was so far off the likes of Nick B and Nic KL. very pleased to find it was equipment and not driver. ;)

Ran hards for my first stint. Chasing Nic. I maintained with in 10 secs when he pitted on lap 19. I stayed out till lap 20. Knowing he did 19 on Mediums. I figured 17 on them would allow me a slight cushion for pushin'. Come out of the pits in 3rd chasing DGA. Was able to get around him as he wa worn tires. Siting second I set focus to chase down Nic. Knew he would be hards. Next lap at spilt I was green. Was like wait whaat? Ooh Nic pitted after one lap on hards. No I had 16 sec lead. He closed that down to 8 and then he must of had a few issues as I moved back up to 10 sec. Rest of the race was me trying to keep calm and mistake free. Good out strategy and some luck and Owens Racing brought home the win!!!!

Great series guys. Look forward to joining in again when new car and tracks are decided.

Be neat to let winners pick a car to be voted on. But I'm ok with whatever. You guys always pick fun and good cars.

Thank you all for clean and fair racing.

Victory circle interview right there

I agree! This is a great series and I'm glad to be part of it.👍

Excellent win Owens!

A packed room tonight and for a second week in a row!

Lets keep the grid full next season with an awesome choice for a car to race:) and track choices:).

Another great season of SPEC and here's wishing all of you a Happy New Year.

Yes I made some mistakes near the end of the race... I got some laps in the 2:05 on the last stint, with a 2:05.106 on lap 24 :scared:. I started to push really hard when I saw I couldn't make it in time. :)

Nice win Owens! 👍

I had the same pit strategy as Nic. It was my plan with the 47 lap race and when the laps got knocked down to 37 I thought that it might still work. But, didn't work out like I had planned. Still was a good night of racing and enjoyment.
Maybe the next season we could change a rule on the winner. The winner must run hards for the whole race. Just a thought..

A huge thank you to all have participated this season! Our races have continued to have more and more drivers each night and we are really taking off with the number of racers each night! Lets hope for another great season with an almost full grid at every race!

I'll be sending the winners pm's shortly so we can begin to decide what car and tracks we'll be using starting next Saturday. Also we may be implementing a few changes to the league this week, although that is still to be decided upon. Stay tuned for the details on next season.

Beal, when the racing is good and host is fair. They will come!

I'd make every race if I could. Love the group.

After discussing a few ideas for the league with kcheeb and fzappa, we've decided it would be best to get some opinions on two ideas they proposed for the league. They are as follows:

#1: Shorten qualifying from 30 minutes to 15 minutes and in turn add more laps to the race. We've thought this would be better as most people don't need 30 min. to put in a good time.

#2: Change the tire compounds from Racing Hards and Racing Mediums to Racing Hards and Racing Softs. This will allow even more emphasis on pit strategy and there will also be a larger gap in terms of performance and lap times between both compounds, also with the increase in the number of pit stops for those who choose to run the softer compound more. You still will have to run at least one stint on each compound as the rules currently dictate.

Hopefully we'll be able to implement these changes for this coming Saturday as it would be best to do them at the start of the season. Especially with the tire compound change.

Only problem I see with tire gap is drivers getting run over if they start on hards. I had a bit of an issue last for the first few turns while my tires warmed. A few didn't seem to realize I was on hards and give me some love taps. Obviously not on purpose. They was caught off by longer brake zone and slightly slower speeds.

If we can get everyone to remember this. I'd say it would slick.

Also if the car is not faster then the NSX. I'd suggest S3's and R2's. If its faster go with stated tires.

I like the idea. Reply to what Owens said..So I didn't know that you were on Hards. So, to his point I see what he is saying. Maybe we all should start out on one compound and change at some point during the race.

Also, last night dgafabountany didn't change compounds. Not that it changed the final points in anyway (I might have got 3rd). BUT Everyone needs to know the RULES.....To many guys that just jump in a want to race for the first time do this.

I agree with the quailifing too. But what about giving the winner a disadvantage for the next race. I think it would make the points and the racing even closer and better...

I like the racing soft idea. Racing mediums are to close to the hards. I think it will throw more strategy into play for tires and maybe fuel. I think the qualifying should be 20 minutes. What if we go to a track like Nurburgring and the 15 minutes is up before the end of the 2nd lap and or the warm up. Maybe we can make it 15 and if we get to big tracks like that we can make it back to 30 or something. I don't like that the winner would have to do a whole race on hards. Just because you win, you shouldn't be handicap for the next race. As for people who don't change their compound, they should have their points cut in half, and they should finish at the end of the running order. Last before the DNF's. It should be treated as a penalty via the fact it is a penalty.

ATTENTION ALL S.P.E.C. DRIVERS:
Just to catch everyone up to speed who isn't in the loop, here's what happened. As you know Nic-KL won the championship for last season. I finished 2nd in the points. His prize for winning the championship is to pick the car for next season and my prize was to pick a track. Nic asked me last night if I would like to swap prizes so that I pick the car and he can pick a track. I accepted this deal and found a car for next season. 487HP, 7500rpm's and an amazing 8 Gears! I pick the Lexus IS F RM '07 for next season. This baby has a high top speed and a quick acceleration. I think this car will be fun on the Racing Soft/Racing Hard compounds. Nic-KL, Kendawg198, cmbeal317, fzappa, and rossitronic, I am excited to see your track selections and I will see you all week one in a Lexus!

I Love You THRASH

This was the car I would have picked. The TC cars are also awsome. I have about 2500 miles on my Lexus IS F RM. It is a great car.

The track that I pick is:

SPA

Awesome! I'll go ahead and update the first post with the new car and clear out all the tracks and points. To all the other winners, lets get this moving so we can get the tracks ready and at least the laps for Saturday.

??? Is the track selection based on points standings or winning a race? The post eludes a little both ways. My Jedi mind reading skills say its points standings and the winner thing was calling these top points guys winners of selecting.

On a personal note. This turns me on more than Sunday night sprint races...I guess I just like putting a little strategy into a race and getting one car ready...Yee Come On..

If I get a chance I'll run some laps, try to figure out the race length, and we'll compare notes.
