On a personal note. This turns me on more than Sunday night sprint races...I guess I just like putting a little strategy into a race and getting one car ready...Yee Come On..

Ah , come on now ken. Sunday's races are adrenaline boosters! There awesome!👍

I do prefer the enduros though. Like dab's Friday night races.

But Sunday's races are the shiznit!:D

Just a heads up. This weekend I will be a no show. The 12th is good. Most likely I will be missing the 19th but back the week after and so on a bi weekly basis.

Thats cool! When you can race your more than welcome!

Nice to have you in half the time instead of not at all!

Okay , beal , your turn to pick.👍 As soon as you post yours , mine will be right behind. Then kcheeb can pick.:)

My pick is Deep Forest, can't wait to see what you and Kcheeb have picked. Nic and Ken have picked some awesome tracks!

As for the tire changes, lets try the Racing Hard/Racing Soft tires this season. If we like it, then it stays. If not, we'll go back to Racing Hard/Medium.

The Sunday races do get the adrenaline going. You are driving very hard trying to stay off everyone for a few laps.

I just like the longer races because you can let someone by and then pass them back later... Sunday no-one is getting by...It is more of a give and take so the racing is a bit cleaner and once the tires are warmed up you can get in the groove instead of taking a cool down lap...:)

Snail is the place for a taste of it all...Woo Hoo...👍

True to all that you said!👍:)

My choice is Cape Ring.

Long track with 28 corners.

The pits should be busy.:)

If only I had more time. :) I'll be there in spirit on the off weeks. Hopefully Cape ring is one of my off weeks. LOL nah I'll be glad to be racing with you guys. No matter car or track.

I love how the 1st season we run soft tires,
curcuit de la sarthe and cape ring come up lol
Kcheeb's pick and then we start testing for Lexus Season

I think tskuba would be crazy
The tracks I think would be wild for this car are that, high speed ring, special stage route 5, and autumn mini. I would love to see a fast car at a small track with 100 shootout

I still think if the Corvette/Camaro come up for the car, we should try Indy Superspeedway. Not daytona because you can hold it wide open. But for indy it involves braking and different lines and it would be great! You road course ringers need to give me (oval ringer) a chance on my home turf haha.

Awesome track choices, I think the Lexus will do really good with all the tracks we've picked, moving forward here is the lineup:

#1 - Spa - Laps - January 5th

#2 - Toscana(Time) - Laps - January 12th

#3 - Circuit de la Sarthe 2009(Time/Weather) - Laps - January 19th

#4 - Cape Ring - Laps - January 26th

#5 - Deep Forest - Laps - February 2nd

Also one other point I forgot to mention earlier is that we will be shortening qualifying from 30 to 15 minutes. Most people set their fastest laps in that time so there really is no need to have all the extra time. By doing this we'll be able to add a few laps to each race which is a much better use of the time. See you all Saturday night!

Is that a custom track?

I don't think so. It's available on the track list and you don't set any of the custom track creation settings. Except it's dirt doh. I thought it was pavement.

There is a Toscana Tarmac but it would be a custom track with sections and complexity. It would be different everytime it was generated.

We could go with that, but if you guys don't want to, I'll change my pick.

Sorry, thought I was being so clever :(

I like the dirt idea except there's no pit road. If everyone is okay with just racing through im up for it! :D

I wouldn't mind having a so called 'Pot Luck' track.

That would keep everyone on their toes.

Lets do Toscana Tarmac. What ever we get that night , so be it!👍

It could also be a 'time' race.

Racing Soft tires 'Beware of the Tarmac'

Hey Thrash, I'd prefer not to race on dirt in this series. If we're going to do dirt tracks, it should be in a series for Rally cars, my 2 cents. Plus I suck at driving in the dirt.

I'd like to use the Toscana Tarmac track if everyone agrees. I'll try to do some quick tests tonight for the generate settings to get a somewhat interesting track. And the tracks aren't night and day different, when you use the same parameters they're similarish.

I'd like to have the race set up for a day/night cycle too :)

I don't want to race on dirt either. I kind of suck on dirt myself:yuck: I was saying that the Toscana Tarmac would be a great track even though it cylces and you don't really know what your going to get.

For sure, you can practice on the track and get a general feel for it using the same generate parameters. It will be somewhat different come race day, which could be interesting 👍

What say you all?

I'm up for having a randomly generated track, and I also agree that we should keep dirt and snow tracks for rally cars. I'll update the post to reflect the correction for Toscana.
