Great format, great car. I'm not home many weekends until September but will race when I am. Luckily it was my turn to come home and sleep. Probably should have gone to bed earlier.

Here we are in the States at the Sunshine state. For race 3 of this season at a very fast Daytona Road Course. This track creates alot of close racing because of the draft. But get a wheel in the grass and you will find yourself in some trouble.
We would like to welcome Oshawa Joe this week in the chrome car. Kendawg is coming off back to back wins. Will he make it three in a row. Lets find out.
The grid is set. Kendawg will lead the field from the pole position
O no, Kendawg spins it out on the start as the field goes by. He will have alot of work ahead to catch back up
Zer05ive leads the field into turn one followed by Goat, tcrash and rossi
rossi leads Oshawa Joe and cmbeal onto the high backs for the first time
At the end of the first lap, zer05ive is starting to pull a gap on second place Goat and tcrash
Oshawa Joe and cmbeal running off in turn one. Turn one is a fast hard braking turn. If the tires are not warmed up then it can be very difficult to get through
Kendawg starting to work his way back to the leaders on lap 3
Oshawa Joe runs it off in the west horseshoe as Kendawg goes by
tcrash gets the draft on the back stretch to get by Goat for second place
On lap 5, rossi gets the draft to pass Goat for second as Kendawg late brakes to get by Goat as well
Kendawg drafting rossi to get by at the start finish to move up one more position
rossi and Kendawg catch tcrash as they look for a way around
tcrash is running strong tonight as he fights to hold on to second
Kendawg and rossi look to get a draft as they get ready to head up onto the backing
Kendawg gets the draft down the back stretch to get by tcrash to move into second
rossi is hard on the brakes going into the chicane to get by tcrash for 3rd
rossin runs it wide on the exit of the chicane. tcrash and Goat take advantage as tcrash retakes third place
Goat looks to make a pass on tcrash on the outside
Start of lap seven, our leader runs it wide going into turn one can he hang on to it
Kendawg makes the pass on zer05ive for the lead. From last to first in seven laps. Kendawg is flying to start this race. tcrash also getting a good look at zer05ive
O no, zer05ive running it off in the next turn. Getting a tire off the track onto the grass will cause the car to spin. tcrash now is looking for a way by

Yes, he saves it, Unbelievable. Didn't even loose the position to tcrash

tcrash looses three positions during that off track run off. Zer05ive, Goat and rossi get by
Zer05ive must now try to hold off Goat, rossi and tcrash for second going through turn one
cmbeal goes to the inside of RacingChamp in the east horseshoe to move up a position
Oshawa Joe moves up into second place as pit stops start to take place
rossi takes the lead as Kendawg exits the pits
tcrash also getting by Kendawg as the first caution is about to start
rossi leads at the first caution on lap 22
The whole field comes in to pit during the first caustion

The restart is at the Sunoco line coming out of the chicane. The cars are suppose to stay in line until you cross the line. Oshawa Joe appears to be out of line on the restart. SPEC is taking a closer look at this.

after a round of pit stops and just before the second pit stop begins, zer05ive takes the lead from Kendawg. Kendawg is the only one that didn't pit after the first caution
Zer05ive is the leader at the second caution on lap 44

Here we go. The start of the last segment. Oshawa Joe leading tcrash, rossi, Goat, beal, kendawg, zer05ive and RacingChamp

Zer05ive gets a costly penalty coming out of the chicane as Kendawg goes around for fourth
tcrash moves back into the lead passing Oshawa Joe. They go back and fourth but who will be there at the finish

Oshawa Joe fighting back through the Daytona banking
The start of the last lap. Can tcrash find a way by Oshawa Joe
tcrash gets out of control and runs it in the grass coming out of the infield onto the banking
Oshawa Joe hangs on and gets the win at Daytona
tcrash was able to get it back on track and hang on to a second place finish
Kendawg manage to get around rossi for third and get on the podium
It was a great nite of racing. Congrats to Oshawa Joe for the win.
We head to Suzuka next weekend to see who has the better handling car. Look for alot of tire wear and fuel consumption. Can't wait to see how it play out.

You are correct. The problem is, at no fault of anyone, is that we get antsy and instead of waiting for the restart line for each of us to accelerate, we hit the gas when we see the guy in front of us take off. Some wait and some don't. So to be fair, we should all start together. When you see the leader go, you go. The only drawback that I can see is that some might not go and BAM! You rear end someone. Let's try it and see how it goes. Let's just remind each other of this before the restarts like we do when the caution lap is coming.

Very correct Ken. When I was leading the caution, I waited until I got to the line to take it off autopilot. There was a slight delay between hitting the back button to let me take over and it actually giving me control of my car.
Also, I'll be getting points updated once I get home. See you all tonight!

I don't think we need to, that's just what I did, plus it was my first time leading the field under caution. I clearly was under a huge amount of pressure. Everyone should use the autopilot, but towards the restart point I wasn't really sure when to take it off. That's why I waited until I hit the line to go. I probably should have taken it off a little sooner that way I could have been on the gas as soon as I hit the line. I just had a bad restart, and you were able to take advantage. I don't think there's a need for any penalty since the front of your car wasn't past the front of mine before I crossed the line.

Why's everyone trying to limit me to 18 points?
If you really would like to have 18 points, I'm sure I could watch the replays and find something to dock you enough points so that you'll always have a grand total of 18 points regardless of where you finish!

Just kidding of course. As I mentioned after last week's race, I'm currently out of town and won't be able to make tonight's race. Have fun without me! I'll see you guys back on the track next week for the season finale! 👍

If there's room I think I'll jump in here tonight. Color change however to Blue/Copper. Heading in to D2 to get used to new G27 settings and see how bad I am now.

Just ran a 1:59 on hards with the wheel set on second to lowest rotation. Gonna try a stint with the wheel on setting O.
