Well, due to broken GTEYE Spring, I will not be joining y'all tonight.
Decided to just leave assembly open until new spring arrives - and not transfer the stock clutch.

Hoping they will send another spring asap.

How/where did the spring break @TEX36? I guess that new car you drove last night didn't stop as fast as you wanted :)

OMG, how you do dat?

Had the GTEYE in the G-27 for a long time - then transferred it into the G-29. So I've had it a long time.

As to "where it broke": It came apart at the physical mid-point of the spring. Really surprised when it came out in halves. Guess any part is susceptible to weakening and failure.

Sooooo waiting to hear back from my Contact Message. But I may just call them, express my surprise, and then order a new one. Hope it doesn't take toooo long.

what if you put your G29 spring into it until you get it fixed? Or did you give them to champ?

WOW!!!!!
Tonight was for sure fun, Thanks @TEX36 for the tune, had to adjust it to my style very slightly and it gave me one really great drive!

That was good. Thanks for giving me a fast car. I'm definitely interested participating in this series. I will however be "out of office" for the next three Wednesdays and join up again for the January 11 race night.

@thorracing I'll send you my setup tomorrow. I made a few tweaks since I sent it to TEX.

Thank you Sir @Rednose58 and I look forward to racing with you as I'm sure everyone in this series is!

Thank you @Rednose58 it's a very similar tune to my own in drivability but with better Trans, LSD and Suspension, gain a bit.

Thanks.

Gt1 team,

I'm just trying to clarify what I need to do for Wednesday's night racing?

I see the list of cars. Presumably I'm picking one vehicle to tune? Then one race for the evening. Could I get a brief run down? Simple enough the the British guy to get a grips around! Any help is appreciated folks, thank you.

Regards,
Steve O

The only car available is the Bmw z4 in pro, yes we only do 1 race on wednesday with a 10 minute qualifier. you are required to pit at least once, in which you are required to change your tire compound.

Get a Z4. Put flat floors and a wing on it. Tune it to specs (hp and weight) and show up tuesday night for practice. In practice tuesday we can give you a better run down of how things work. The next track is Gran Valley Reverse. 10 minute qualify followed by a 50 minute race.

That's a huge help Whitey, thank you....

Beemer it is?! Ha ah

The Z4 is terrible but you can get your feet wet and the next season is 2 races away so you'll have a fresh start in a better car and know what to expect.

Made it back from the Colorado trip .......... wish that Winter Storm had waited until Monday.
Hard to get very far in 3" of snow - with Racing Slicks (highway treads).
Bought some Snow Tires - but doubt that they will be needed here in West Texas (maybe 1 day?)
Will switch them when the Winter Threat is over.

No GTEYE in the mail yet. So, the Pit Crew can't start putting the rig back together yet.
Hope it arrives today.
