Ok I see what you are saying but I think we need to stay away from standards like treat them like the plague
That's why I'm looking at the Rc's, in order to get a solid 8 car field with flat floors I need the standards, I know you love to be able to paint your own car and put a number on it. But it cuts me off at the knees field wise.

I think the GT3 cars that are already in the game would be fun to work with as is. Yeah, you don't have 8 but who cares? Let's try it out.

BTW, test room closed

I'm looking at 8 because then with 8 pro's and 8 pro-am's that's a full room with no repeats. Plus when we go to team competition (next season) everyone has a partner in the opposite division :)

Edit: won't be there sorry going to pack racing tonight. If you feel like testing the new series pros would be 1320 Pro am's 1280

mmm you have 5 different car categories in your screen picture Birdy.
which category were you thinking of running?
All of them lol. They run similar times from my testing so far (1 track). It's about the cars and how equal they are to each other not the class they would run in real life. The worst part of GT6 is that they didn't give us full grids of car classes or we wouldn't have to do this.

Rad and I were just playing around with the Vipers and dear lord they were fun!

I can say that the jag is fast (so it's HP would be reduced) and the vette is out unless I lower the weight for all in which case the audi would be out.

What I'm trying to do is get race cars running within .5 of each other. right now every car is able to go from 49/51 to 51/49 except the audi.

Any help any one wants to offer (even if it's while you test your current GT1 specced car) would be greatly appreciated running laps by myself get tedious :)

Sorry Gentlemen, I am completely unqualified to discuss various cars & classes or characteristics. An working now won't give me any time to test.

I wasn't after how you felt they drove tex, I'm more after what look you preferred. (which everyone is qualified for :)) I think I'm onto a good solid class that all will enjoy. to lock in our third class.

Because
  • Well they look ugly
  • GT6 Physics on Standards is different trust me I have tested this before.

Well so far the jag is the fastest car in the 4 I've tested on 3 different tracks. Handles like a dream and goes like stank.

I will be putting a database together for anyone to contribute after I finish testing this last car.

Need too say my opinion on that matter , dont no why but I NEED too lol I think you can do all the testing you like and it will not be ok in the end , UNLESS you do your testing on nurb24h as that track have a bit off all other tracks in it , regarding the bop for gt3 cars I know that there are some GOOD ones that have been made by ppl that just about only drive in the gt3 cars , but you will not be able too have 8 different cars though quiltingchloe said , who care`s :) the main thing must be having a bop that works ;) and iff you are doing racecars iam game , thats for sure :)

Nor can i

I'm more than aware I can only appease some people some of the time, but will never be able to appease all of the people all the time!

That is why I am going to build a database that anyone willing to help do testing will be able to input into. I spent over 20 million credits yesterday trying to find a group of cars that worked well together (based on HP and Weight) The best I came up with is the list above. There are 10 cars in it 5 premium and 5 standard right now at 650hp and 1260 weight the 5 I tested are approximately 1.1 apart.

Database live and can be found here Testing race car database Add to it as you wish please compare your times to your own. I'm looking at 650Hp (median) and 1260 pro-am, 1300 pro Weight. the Hp will be adjusted with whatever grouping is the closest the weight will stay the same.

The main problem with testing cars you can tune is that you can never be sure iff you have had the best tune for any car , so in other words , you have made an impossible task for your self , iff I were you I would use the bop that have been made by ppl over several years ;)

And it still falls under what you said no BoP is perfect. No matter how long it has been used the tuner affects the outcome of the car.

As for why I want 8 cars it's so that with a full room of 8 pro and 8 pro am's, I can do a "team" championship and extend the season by 2 races. I was going to do 3 divisions (dropping the car count to 6) but that is no longer viable.

We don't need a team championship. We have a good system worked out now. It has worked for a good 13 season.
5-6 cars is just fine.

Just trying too help making it easier for you birdy by susgesting too use something that have been tested over several years , its mysteri for me that you apparently think you can do better over a few weeks , but offcourse its your dessison , gl with it , and now i better just keep my opinion`s too myself :)

That would be stealing intellectual property. As for thinking I can do it better myself Hell no lol. I'm doing the best I can with the knowledge I have. That's why I asked for help, that's why I opened the database. Instead of blasting me on the thread for trying to make it fun for all, help me PLEASE! I could use all the data I can get to build the best competition for you I can.

You don't like the cars bring in your own my only requirements for this class I'm working on are 650Hp (median) and a weight of 1280 (median) 1260 for pro-am, 1300 for pro.

If you don't like the class bring me something better. if you got 8 DTM's at 600Hp running with in .5 or 8 GT500 class within .5. I'm willing to put together any class anyone brings me as long as the racing would be close. As for the BoP it can always and forever be adjusted at the end of a season.

Yeah with the viper, chevrolet, and Zonda. With the new balancing that will help bring everything up to a level playing field :)
He said GT3 cars. Americans don't have any in the game. Nearest one to GT3 is the corvette z06 and even that isn't GT3

Ok fellas i have a job interview today at 4:30. Not sure how long it will last but will try and make it as i dont want to miss Red Bull Ring.

I'll be there. Testing has gone well, I've found more speed and have a solid pit strategy. Have no idea how my lap times compare with anyone though so we'll see.
