The tires go away fast. There will be more strategy this season than last for sure. The cars being more even will hurt parity but that just means it's time for the slower guys (me) to git gud.

I'm not looking forward to the hot lap competition this season is shaping up to be. Oh well at least the strategy will all be the same for every racer this season. Think I'm going to miss all the variety of last season's cars and strategies.
Give things a chance before thinking so negitive about it. I recall you being very vocal about how the BOP was off by a mile last season. Now things are tightened up. Yes there is just one strategy this week but things may change. Once we get into competition racers always find a way to surprise ya! It's the same deal every time we go to the mountain. Get clean air, stay out of trouble and don't beat yourself.

May someone please confirm the tire/fuel consumption settings please? The OP says it's 'fast' but I don't know if that's changed. Also assuming that the tire rules and race duration are going to remain the same from last season? Thanks and happy Fourth to my fellow Americans.

No changes. Changes were suggested and i agreed with most but i am wary of making big changes without extensive testing to see what the affect will be. I think this format should work well. It looks like we will have at least one more season if not two after this before a legitimate new game is ready so we can assess how changes will affect things and implement them next season.

The yes strategy is going to be just as important as it was last season. I don't understand why people would think otherwise, but oh well. Bathurst is going to be a tough track for these cars but I am looking forward to it.

I have never been good at bathurst. It's just one of those tracks that doesn't suit my style at all. All i can really hope for here going in is to not finish last. But I've surprised myself before and once the green flag drops it really is anyones race. So much can happen in 50 minutes.

Hi guys, fell on this thread by hazard, well done, interesting lol, I read the whole stuff , comraderie, well done, great idea, and go on, rock'n'roll, cheers from Vienna

Please feel free to complicate things a little :) I'm sure we would all enjoy the extra competition. A lot of solid thinking is going into this season. I have no doubt we could overcome any possible new scenarios thrown our way. And make the season that much better.

thank you Illtrick , but I dont feel for staying up untill late at night just so I can listen to screaming tires that wears down so quickly and I doubt that the tire/fuel wear will be set down to normal :) I`ll just come and practise occasionally

Understandable, your welcome to run laps anytime regardless. :)
thx for the invitation, would like to give it a try in a practice session, guess you need to send me a club invite? Am I right? I enjoy clean racing in a cool atmosphere
PS need your EST or Pacific time, because I'm on CET time, Vienna Austria :)

I have the power of the invite. I'll take care of that right now.

We open the room 9est wednesday night. We start qualifying at 9:30est.

Iff I remember correctly its 4 oclock in the night/morning for you ;)

Weird. It says due to the user's status i am unable to send the invite. Anyone experienced this? What needs to be done?

My guess would be that you dont have him on your friendlist and people that arn`t on his friendlist cant do this and that ......

While i wait for the fireworks to start, i wanted to officially congratulate snail gt1 member @Whitetail for winning the ARS 2.4 hours of LeMans Saturday in the prototype category and overall. Just an awesome drive by him and incredible pace.

Nice job whitetail! Have fun racing this week. Looking forward to the race recap since I can't make it.

Hey guys sorry I won't be able to make it tonight. I'm sick :( was hoping it would improve but it has not.

Maybe postpone a week due to all of the absences? I know two doesn't seem like all that much but with the field size we have (to my understanding) it will significantly impact the quality of the racing without Trick and Huyler present. Thoughts?

I am okay with it if everyone else also is. Its not as if we are up against a hard deadline to get things moving. It would be best to have a full grid.

I think i am the odds on favorite for last right now. I love this car but havent tamed it yet.

Lets make it official, season pushed back one week. I am still going to practice tonight if anyone wants to join.

Logging on now. Will open a room

Slight delay, will have a room open in 15 minutes if one is opened by then.

Many thanks for the mention @Whitey093 about the ARS Le Mans race. That is always a tough event for people who are not used to long-distance racing and multiclass overtaking. With the race tonight being postponed until next week, if anyone has two and a half hours of time they'd like to waste, I'll link my onboard video from the R18 for your viewing pleasure. See you soon!
