And that was after two laps at what might be the most diverse long track I have driven. It is faster than the 'Ring and offers many opportunities to FUBAR. I. Got more pleasure from the 3d than the first win ever in PACK in the second race. The reason was that the reason for the win was three previous races with this combo in the Ruff. It was due to track and car knowledge....not outright speed. And it was also due to very considerate driving by two of our resident fast guys...View attachment 453793
Hell of a close finish between me and @Nail-27. I came in 2nd at Sierra ahead of Nail by .001

Nope that was a one off@Nail-27 Is this a change for just one time, or for all future races? If it is an overall policy change, may I suggest that you should also update the 1st post of the thread. It is where new players will see the rules.
The main post also has several errors in HP stats (very confusing for new players setting up cars and then finding that their numbers don't match yours)
In particular I was surprised by the room allowing brake balance adjustment, because I remembered the main post saying it was forbidden.
A track will be considered useable after a major organization uses it without problem for a race....so everybody keep your ears to the ground. Is this "certification" something that is already in the works?
I've been in love with this version of Road America I found. The track is so fast and the long straights provide great drafting.
We can always be Pathfinders and try some new tracks just to see if they work. The variety and imagination of some folks have opened up a whole new portal of fun for this Nail27 (old), title.A track will be considered useable after a major organization uses it without problem for a race....so everybody keep your ears to the ground.
You don't have to drive a Watkins Glen track to know it's gonna be awful. But Road America is inherently very flat. Only real elevation change is out of Turn 3 and into Turn 4. Slightly uphill. That's really it. The track in GT6 is still very fast and you get the same rhythm. It works. The track width is just right too. Sometimes there are gems like this, but there aren't many. You gotta find the tracks that are already mostly flat in real life.I know this is kinda going off topic but...
This is just my personal take on the track creator. I find the vast majority of these re-creation tracks to be of almost zero interest. I'll admit, I've driven almost none of them; but knowing they're nearly all built at the flat location and many of them have significant topographical features is a major turnoff. I drove a Watkins Glen yesterday for about two laps. That's all I needed to wash my hands of that. I can't even imagine how bad some of the others could be. There are a couple I'm interested in trying out just because I know they are very flat in real life. I'm mostly interested in the fantasy tracks that people come up with. Track design is most certainly an art.
