What about the amazing BMW M1? This car was a blast winning basically everything on its class.

@jaybocc2 I will be on your ass all Sunday night bro.
Looking forward to first race tomorrow night in Div 8! Was practising and racing with some higher division guys last night to get a feel for what's to come, had a blast. Joined the room with no practice at all just to be put on pole in the vette at Tokyo, talk about stress!!

@rob1nh000d on settling a car. Hopefully this simile helps.

Imagine your car as at least 2 tectonic plates. When you brake you start to tilt one of those plates from back to front. When you accelerate you tilt it the opposite direction. When you turn the wheel right, your tilting the second plate so it's lower on the left and higher on the right. Tilting one plate isn't much of an earthquake. Tilting them both becomes a 4 on the Richter scale. The more dramatically you brake or turn, the higher scale the earthquake you create. Keep those earthquakes to a level so you aren't sending the western sea board into the Pacific ocean. We wouldn't want the magic earthquake kingdom, aka So Cal migrating to Hawaii would we? If that happened Denver Co might have some beach front property for sale.

Wow, great job @Dragonwhisky. I asked for an analogy, and I am not sure I could have gotten a bigger and more memorable one! I really think that analogy, besides being fun, will stick with me not only because its crazy out there, but because it really captures how car balance is precarious in two planes that can compound one another and how badly too much unsettling can go (or good for @JLBowler). Good job! THANKS

And it makes racing seem like an endeavor of global proportions :)

And thanks to @JLBowler for taking it a step further, making it even more memorable. Now our racing is on global proportions and of political importance! Ya!

Since you appear to be up in that wettest state, don't forget, if that fault line cuts loose completely, you'll likely be needing a surf board and may be able to ride it right past all them 'taters in Idaho.

And back to my home territory over the Rockies and into Montana! Luckily I did get a short exposure to surf boards during my also short residence for about 8 months on Oahu, Diamond Point and on the windward side in Kailua. My sometimes neighbor goes out almost everyday in Westport, which is known for some good surfing. He's been trying to get me to go out. Maybe I should prepare to catch that wave...

Meanwhile in my neck of the woods, there is no shortage of cheap (awful) beer and compensators big-ass trucks that clearly is not an attempt to make up for any shortcomings.

And guns, lots of guns. But gun = fun, so I don't complain too much.

That reminds me...

LET ME SEE YOUR WAR FACE!!!

These days I'm into love and fun, not war. WAR, HUH, Good God, What is it good for, Ya, absolutely nothin'.

My race cry for tomorrow---> I'm gonna race that funky corvette,

race those funky cOmbOs till I die!

Actually, the Corvette is simply irresistible! I can't resist her.

There's no tellin' where the money went. Into racin' and a better steering wheel.

I would like to join the fun!
@JoeH187,
Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:
We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:
1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test
2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.
3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.
4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.
5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍
The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Concerning the Division 4 Host tonight: Perhaps my connection was not optimal for last week's racing.

With that in mind I defer to one of the other Hosts in the Division. I'm sure they will, most likely, have a better connection and Host demeanor than I. So unless instructed otherwise, I will just be one of the back-markers tonight and stay quiet.
Sincerely spoken and offered.
