Thanks again to @fzappa for the GT Academy shirt!

Now I finally have some cool threads to wear while I'm waiting for 'request to join' posts! :sly:

... and to those thinking about helping out the league all I can say is that it does really payoff. It's a great sense of belonging and satisfaction knowing that whatever help you can provide to keep S.N.A.I.L going will ultimately be rewarded in some for or 'fashion' (pun intended ;)).

I don't know any one of my fellow SNAILS personally outside of our league but would not hesitate in considering most of you my friends and I'm sure that if any of us ever me in real life, we would probably have more in common that just our 'game'.

To the current members of TEAM S.N.A.I.L. - Keep up the awesome job and remember that even though some days it may seem like you're giving your free time away for nothing, there are plenty of members out there that truly appreciate what has been created here. I know I am one of them.

THANK YOU S.N.A.I.L.!

God knows how much I love you WolfSatz but its sooooo true, ahahahahahahah. I never met anyone that speaks racecraft so much and can become pure evil on the track like you, eheheheheh.

Isn't true that we had a rough start racing and then later on we both learn to respect each other? I also look forward racing with you all the time because we both have very similar driving characteristics and it is hard passing you when you are in the zone.

I remember hearing Chatva long time ago ' I will race you the same way you'll race me' and he got so criticized; I have also been guilty of that, I hate that 'I try' to always observe OLR and most importantly give the RESPECT to all on track fast or slow. However, that respect is not always mutual and when that respect is not there; well everything goes down the drain pretty quickly. I am sure you know exactly what I am talking about. You got to give respect to gain respect.

Also not having the time to properly file IR just adds to the frustration ... I am not agressive that I am banging cars all over; I am aggressive to try to improve and perform hard passes. outside pass touch free at Laguna still in my memory as if we just raced yesterday. I make mistakes and I own up to them when I do.

Anyone is free to think what it suits them best. I have always tried to give back to the league with whatever I can and race within the confines of OLR.

I'm just throwing this out there.

Last week I was practicing late at night. Xrad came into the room and just watched for a while and gave a few real time pointers, which I took in, and tried the next lap, and so on.

Then he took the track with me watching, or riding on board, if you will. All I can say is WOW, what a difference it made in my lap times. Sometimes I go off track because I'm pushing hard and doing things just a little to late. But when I do it like he showed me, I'm faster than I've ever been. Not to mention he taught me some downshifting techniques that I didn't know, nobody ever taught me. It meant the world and I've already seen a difference.

That was like, one hour, maybe.

Thanks again Xrad!

You are most welcome. I too have learned a lot from other SNAILs and because of that I am still around. Anyone that is fast and in a community like ours should share ideas and help as it always leads to more fun. Close and fair racing is how this league works, IMO.

If anyone having trouble with the 1 lap challenge at Nurburging in the seasonal event.

Did it on my first try using the Rocket '07 on Sport Soft tires, got into 1st right before last turn. Total time of 8:08.707

550PP, 183HP, Sports Computer tuning upgrade, Ballast weight at 61KG. Set my top speed to 182MPH so that their was more than enough speed through the straight aways.

Agreed, at least wait till Friday!

Btw, does Canada have a Black Monday??
Recent years relailers are trying to create the same buzz for shopping on one day. They advertise "canadian black friday". Big sales , but nothing like US

The inaugural Race Strategy, Race Craft, SNAIL OLR & Sportsmanship Clinic is set for 9:30 PM Eastern time on Tuesday, 21 October 2014. There is one more seat available. Please PM me if you are interested and can join at that time. You will be added to the convo set up for discussing logistics.

in the US Black Friday used to be special... But it's really just a way to get 'next year's' price for something that's close to obsolete in my experience. Now there's cyber Monday and amazon ruined that by doing gold box deals all year... Consumerism FTL...

Thanks for the hot tip! I tried with the new Stingray, Zonda C12, and the FT1, always trailing by 4 secs on the final straight... Grrrrr

You got lucky and before anyone says anything it's not a comment on your skills. It a comment on my two tries at that race with the Audi R8 4.2. I ran 7:58 and 7:56 and finished 2nd both times. I must have got the wrong car out front on my attempts.

Ok guys here's an update. Right now I'm in the middle of research and development towards the race camp. I'm trying to come up with means to teach all the combos in a very timely manner as we be able to give improvements very quickly to other drivers while still engaged a whole class. As of right now for those signing up to the GT RACECAMP please pm me directly so I can have a stable list. More work to be done as of now this will be the start.Thank you all

P.S. Once again please PM me directly to sign up to GT RACECAMP

If you at first don't succeed exit the race and re-enter. Many times there will be a new set of AI's with different characteristics. You might catch the front runner sooner, but then he will chase you like a mad rabbit.

I agree it was by sheer luck. I tried with the Nissan GTR Black Edition '12 and by the time i got to the last straight away, i was still 3 seconds behind. It was only i tried the rocket '07 that i was able to get 1st place but got to the Lambo right before the last turn. You got a much better time than i did. I know Bowler it wasn't about my skills. Alot are having a hard time with the 1 lap challenge so i just gave it a try with the Rocket '07.
