Unfortunately I think I'll have to drop out from the ROC as I've been trying all day to sign in and it just doesn't happen. Let's see what happens till 9.30.

What's odd here is the front end of www.playstation.com is up. It's apparently the authentication server that's down. I'd be willing to bet Sony pulled the plug on it just so folks couldn't enter their user IDs and passwords, in an effort to keep that hackage from occurring. The IT security industry just got even more lucrative.

No idea whats really going on. As I was able to login on line and update my info for the PS store. SO i would go out on a limb and say @Dragonwhisky you sir are correct.

Just a reminder, and I fixed my typo (I still had it say the November season).

If you are listed below, you have been selected to participate in the December SNAIL Race of Champions. Please reply to this post with your intentions to race as soon as possible - this includes the alternates as well.

I realize the 26th is not an ideal date for this race, but neither is January 2nd.

why doesn't SNAIL used heavy damage. it sure would teach some drivers a thing or two. I'm probably not suppose to ask out in the open public or i'll get scolded, sorry. Just curious since this is suppose to be a clean league.

Short answer. Lag. One bad lag event from one driver has the potential to ruin the race for multiple drivers. At least with light damage, they are able to absorb the hit, have their damage fixed without the need for a pit stop, and continue on.

It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver to make a pass cleanly. Dont expect someone to slow down because you got a run on them and made contact when fender to fender.

What does that have to do with the question? JLBowler answered it perfectly.

Edit: Also, PSN still down...

If the overtaking driver achieves overlap before turn-in, both drivers must drive two lanes through the turn and stick to their respective lane. Slowing down will need to happen from both in most cases
