The track boundary post has been updated to include this weeks tracks. Everyone should take a look at Ascari in particular. The rules there are a little different as it is a race resort and not a true race track. Features and boundaries are a little different when the goal is preserve the appearance of your grass and not regulate competitive racing.

Okay gents. I am the prize A winner this week.

For your racing pleasure, I have selected a quintessential example of German engineering, and a car never before driven by SNAILs in anger. It has a linear power curve; a large torque plateau on the second cam; and, most importantly, near 50/50 weight distribution. No more cars that either handle corners like a rocky mountain dump truck or try and kill you every time you take your foot out of it.

The car is the M3 GTR '03. [496 PP (post-oil change), 1489 kg]

We will be racing this auto of the Fatherland at Ascari. I know that it is a bit intricate, but take some time to get to know it, and you'll find it as rewarding and raceable as I do. They're not going to throw Alberto's name on just any old ribbon of tarmac.

Sorry it took a little longer than normal. I spent a lot of time trying a bunch of different cars and tracks. I hope it was worth the wait! See you on the track.

Great combo. What were your other options though? Just curious.

Hello everyone! I am very interested in racing with you guys. I am very tired of the dirty racing in the quick match lounges and It doesn't feel right to win that way to me. Been looking for a group who is fast purely because of skill. How do I get this process started?

You just did. @nmcp1 will be along, although probably in the morning, to give you the next steps. Keep an eye on the thread.

Hey guys...some of my fellow snails in div 6 think I need to get myself a headset.
I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I'd prefer a wireless set.
I got the el cheapo at walmart 20 bucks on clearance.. It was one for that shoot em up game.. I think regular price is 30.. It seems to work ok for what i do.. All i use it for is our racing

do not go wireless I have a sony wireless headset . I have nothing but problems with it. it will kick me off line turn it off i sign right back in like there was nothing wrong. so i quit using mic's so i don't have problems but i got kicked last week no mic was on. only with gt6 sometimes with battlefield. and the mic not very good. might be because my ps3 is wireless to.

The ones that I was considering the most strongly were that M3 at Spa & Apricot Hill.

The other completely different combo that I was contemplating was the SLS AMG GT3 at Spa. It was great. Tough choosing between the two. I hope that next weeks prize a winner at least gives it a cursory glance because it deserves it.

Thanks for asking.

I have the Sony Gold Wireless. Great set of headphones. Comfortable and long battery life. Well worth the C-note in my opinion.
@singlepaddy

I too have the gold set. All of the control buttons are on the cups, allows custom EQ settings, and my favorote is the volume mixer built in to ballance between chat and sound fx, which i use in case someone forgets to mute or has static when muted... Priceless for that alone...

Turtle Beach PX51. You can get them on Amazon for $150. When I purchased them they were $260. They are the best investment I made and they are awesome. Bluetooth works great and never had an issue with the battery dying. They will also work with the PS4 after you download the update. Sound settings are numerous and the mute button works great. Very comfortable on the ears and very light on the head. The surround sound quality is WOW!

Oh man I miss racing with you guys. I had my first followup appointment today, and everything with the leg is coming along well! Getting a bit more range of motion back, which means I can almost sit properly in a chair and on the couch. I think that at some point next week I'll try to get back on track with the wheel. I doubt my track sessions will be very long, but I'm itching to get going again!

Way to snag that TOPP with the updated lineup. 👍

I've updated the lineup post as well. If anyone is wondering why we didn't have our usual banners for last week's lineup, @GamingPete has informed me that he's swamped with real life responsibilities right now and won't be able to do them anymore (at least not for a while). If anyone one wants to take a stab a creating the banners going forward, be my guest. Otherwise, the lineup "charts" seem to be working just fine. :)

I also went with the least expensive wired Turtle Beach...and other than trying to closeline myself when I forget which headset I had on PS3 (wired) or the TV (not) I have ZERO complaints and it and I are comming up a year on line.

@helkresh

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @Dragonwhisky, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL :cheers:

Turtle Beach PX-22 has been good for me.

I just bought the PX-22. After some research it seemed the wired headsets were getting the more favorable reviews. I wish the cord was just another foot longer though. What an amazing difference in sound, you can actually hear where the car behind you is. They are quite comfortable and seem fine for the duration of a Sunday night. The only problem I have had so far was some were saying I was breaking up a bit on Sunday. No problem any other time though.

I use the cheaper Sony pulse wireless with simulated 7.1 surround so you hear exactly where the cars are.. Had it for a couple years now and works great . when the battery gets low it works corded as well. There are two models for the pulse. Heard the more expensive one has more problems, so I went with the cheaper and haven't looked back
