hey whats up its PSN-bloodredsky, you sent me a message on psn about joining...im in, sign me up. sounds like a super time.

Hey bloodredsky,

You'll have a great time in S.N.A.I.L. As I said to chatva, I'm prepping for a race but will have the drivers list updated a little later tonight.

We run a clean league by enforcing the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and we expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both.

You'll be added to the drivers list and we need you to run this Time Trial Combination as soon as possible so we can determine which Division you'd be best to start in. We do as much as we can to make sure everyone gets involved in some close, clean racing.

Once you have completed the time trial, a PSN friend request will be sent to you from the SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3 or 4 account for the Division you will be placed in. That lounge is where you will race on Sunday night.
The original post also has a lot of information regarding the league, commit it to memory ;)

The second post has the current race lineup and is updated weekly.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, post your choices here. To avoid duplication of choices, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events feel free to jump in and partake!

Welcome aboard and enjoy :)

I would rather pictures be posted directly on the thread. I don't like when links to an album are posted because they often go overlooked. If you're concerned about load times on your phone, simply install the :gtplanet: app for free from the Android (Google Play) store or iTunes.

When you use the :gtplanet: app, photos are thumbnailed so that pages with lots of pictures load almost as fast as pages without any pictures at all. 👍

I understand there are smartphones out there that are not on Android or iOS, but those two cover the vast majority. Mopar, is your phone something other than an Android or iPhone? Hopefully you don't have a Windows phone? :scared:

I have to agree with zer0. The pictures take about 2 minutes to download on my iphone but for me its worth it:). A link download is probably going to take just as long anyway.

Also , if I was new to the thread and came across pictures , I'd rather see them all at once in a post than have to go to link.
Pictures are a great recruiting tool. Just scrolling down the page and seeing all the close racing we do:eek: , in all divisions 👍, makes it more interesting.

Quite a few complaints were made this week. In fact, I believe there were more than any previous week thus far. Of course, the influx of several new racers and the larger crowd in general likely had a lot to do with this. Only Division 1 and Division 3 saw complaints made, so thanks for the clean driving in D2 and D4!

Division 1:

Mighty_mopar
  • Level 1: 1 points and 1 week probationary period

JerseyDriverSS
  • Level 2: 3 points (halved for on-track concession) and 2 week probationary period

KingBestJr
  • Level 1: 4 points
  • Level 1: 4 points
  • Level 2: 8 points
  • Total: 16 points and 4 week probationary period

Nic-KL
  • Level 1: 8 points (doubled for probation) 6 week probationary period continues

RIP_Welsh_Don
  • Level 2: 3 points (halved for on-track concession) and 2 week probationary period

Division 3:

dgafaboutany1420
  • Level 1: 2 points
  • Level 1: 4 points
  • Level 4: 14 points

ExoSphere64

  • Level 2: 5 points
  • Total: 16 points (doubled for probation) three week probationary period continues

***If you were penalized and would like further explanation regarding the incident, just PM your Division Steward and they will let you know what the stewards saw and our opinions on it.***

Please note that some of these penalties did result in changes in final positions for the evening, which will be noted in the official results when they are posted. (I don't know how to move results from the unofficial doc to the official one. Would someone please do that? I fear to try for the possibility of fouling it up. I'll post a link here when that's done.)

I can say, however, that the top finishers are as follows:

91 points: sudmanster in Division 4
82 points: JazzVanWolfe in Division 3
81 points: GTP_dylansan in Division 2
77 points: WiiFreak in Division 1

Please note that none of these drivers lost any points due to penalties. Cleanliness Counts

Thanks, guys.

Well, I have a feeling I'll be getting Prize C this week, which is nice because it's my birthday today and I like prizes, but kind of disappointing because I probably could have gotten a few more points had I not gotten disconnected in one of the races.

That said, if I do well next week I'll still have a chance to pick part of a combo. That would be a nice belated birthday gift. ;) And anyway, that classic rally ticket looks pretty good to me right now.

Happy Birthday and congrats on prize C.

Yeah, dylan. You probably could have taken prize A if you hadn't disconnected. Good racing Sunday.

Hah, just cashed in my birthday ticket and got a car that doesn't even exist. The MX-5 J-limited II, '93. This was a Japanese special edition so it would never have been called an MX-5. (Thanks to Famine a long time ago for this information)

Ah well, that'll teach me to trust the odds rather than back up my save so I could try again. It's not exactly important. I'm just glad I didn't get something I already had (which, upon inspection, was impossible anyway).

Ap, thanks finalizing all of the penalties. I've updated the results post to reflect the new standings and more importantly who is now officially eligible to select Prize A, Prize B, and Prize C.

sudmanster, you are on the clock! Please claim your Prize for being the division winner with the highest score! If you select Prize A or Prize B, go ahead and just announce which car and/or track you want to be added to the July 29th lineup.

JazzVanWolfe, be thinking about what your prize selection will be so that you can make it as soon as sudmanster announces his selection. Many of us are wanting to be able to break in the new car(s) before tonight's practice races. :sly:

on the Social Network issue, SNAIL could have a Facebook page, its free to make a SNAIL club where members of snail can request to join, share pics, comment, snail can announce new race lineups and driver list. Think about it, it could be EPIC!

Does anyone have the color DRACO GREEN? It is apparently not easy to get and I am Interested in trading for it. It is a Lambo color. thanks

I have "Verde Draco" a sorta olive drab if that is what you mean.

Many thanks to Apmaddock and the team of stewards that sacrifice personal time to review our racing incidents.

You are an integral part of S.N.A.I.L. and your work is appreciated 👍

Remember: Practice with Sundays car/track combos at 10pm ET tonight.

Room number will be posted at 9:50pm ET

Hopefully we have Prize B selected by then.

See everyone tonight!

It's not a thankless job, after all!

Thanks, kcheeb. The work you do doesn't go unnoticed, either.

It's got to be assumed. Standard cars are only allowed if they're fresh in the OCD, and no M3s are there right now.
