Here is my input on the tire discussion. I worked on this a while back after PD rolled out a few updates that helped tire grip on RWD cars. My main goal was to put as many street cars on street tires as possible before the inevitable need to switch to racing tires. I do not recall how much testing I did with high powered street cars to know how close the switch over points are. But I'm thinking they are fairly close. The PP chart is only for non-Group cars.

I added Comfort Soft tires for cars under 300PP only because the few cars in this PP range are more fun to drive on CS tires. :dopey:

Oh yeah.. and the PP seems to change with every update. So doing a PP based chart will always have that variable to contend with. A wider PP range per tire compound seems more logical. Especially as more cars are added to the game where their PP is calculated differently than how PP was calculated for cars at release. And by no means am I suggesting anyone go through and update car PP information. It's pointless to do so as it will continue to change with every update.

CS has four eligible cars. RM has none. May as well call is the sport soft tire regulations as you have 58% of the eligible cars on that tire.

Quick question. If I am unable to get in for first race of round 1, do I need to wait until first race of round 2 or would I still be able to join race 2 of round 1?

@JamCar0ne personally, I think SS tires up to 650 will be very hard to drive. From my tests on a wheel, I found the limit to be around 550 and I’m a D1 driver on a wheel. Those on controllers will struggle a lot.

I agree with you that we need as many street cars and sports tires as possible but I think that those cars need to below 500 pp in order to please the most of us and to make for great racing on the track.

All hosts should start on time tonight. The only reason to delay, is to allow a driver who was already in the room their 3 minutes to reconnect.

GGs all in D1, apologies for the couple instances where I caused someone to spin, as well as my generally inconsistent driving. Bit of a tougher group than I expected and I thought I would have an easier time keeping up/maintaining good pace. Still had fun nonetheless and I look forward to competing and improving more in the future

Awesome night of racing yesterday especially in the reverse race of the second combo, which I'm starting to like very much. I wouldnt mind if it gets a pass for this sunday. I had a great clean battle with multiple overtakes with @Timlour and @Kgffy leading the race (Well done on the win). I hope that the Corolla Levin stays but maybe on another track like Tsukuba this time. I loved my combo but I don't think it was very popular hehe.

I thought your combo was great, underused car and underused track. It didn't hurt that my other league was running that track last week.

  2. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 1 - 85 (94.01 for Prize C)

  10. JamCar0ne --------- voted to eliminate Round 3
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Toyota Corolla Levin 1600GT APEX (AE86) '83 (SH) at Willow Springs International Raceway - Streets of Willow Springs - S01 Evening (10 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @CANOWORMS1 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Subaru WRX Gr.4 (RH) at Sardegna - Road Track Layout B - S01 Evening (10 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Worst_Driver gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @racingchamp30 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Car Selection Guidelines
See Section 3 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines.

Track Selection Guidelines
See Section 3.1 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines

I will pass the freeze
@racingchamp30 up to you
With that choice, we have a repeat prize winner.

If you raced in D2 this week, you get to vote to freeze the Subaru WRX Gr.4 (RH) or Sardegna - Road Track Layout B - S01 Evening.

You must post your vote in this thread and you may not change your vote. Voting will close at noon ET on Wednesday. At that time, @Worst_Driver will be free to choose the other half of the combo.
