I like that idea too, but three classes is probably a bit much. I'd suggest starting with two classes and see how that goes first. Have D1, D2, and D3 in one class and D4 and D5 in another class. Or have D1 and D2 in one class, and D3, D4, and D5 in another class. Just choose the option that would result in mix of cars close to 50/50 in each class. 👍

great idea as always zero. I really like the idea of endurance races, but it just isn't very fun clearly being the underdog. My as well run a time trial in that instance. Props to those guys for being so fast, don't let me take anything away from them, as they deserve the recognition they get. But someone like me, who has been racing three months, and slowly moving my way up SNAIL, I am certainly not within their class yet. Maybe I'll never be, but I would still like to have some fun a long the way.

As always, kcheeb will make a post to announce when the promotions and relegations are finalized. We've had preliminary discussions already, but will be making the final decisions tomorrow evening.

D3 possibilities :dunce: Never expected to race so well in d4 :nervous: heh

A tuning race will be good in my opinion. A driver knowledge shouldn't just be about driving but how to tune a car. SPEC races are fun because people are racing close to each other most of the time but knowing your tuning setup is better than others and making you win also feels good.

You should grab a teammate and come run STATS on Tuesday night.

I would love to join but I can't guarantee I can get hold of using the TV on weekdays. My parents been using the TV every single day. If you move the race to weekend I can join most of the time.

yeah ive got one

Throw your level 4 into one of the 'recommended level 30' races in Seasonal Events.

He will lose the battle in that race, but even last place will probably take you to level 10+. Then nail some of the 400 or 500 PP B spec seasonals. L25 by lunch...

As some of you know, I used to organize some racing for another group that is now defunct. I've been kicking around the idea of reviving one of the more popular and competitive series that I put together. Be warned for the wall of text that will follow but I want to throw it out there and see if there would be any interest in running it. If it looks like it could take off, I will go ahead and update the rules and regulations to the current version of the game. This series was put together at the launch of the game so it needs some updating.

Precision Racing is proud to present the, "Run What Ya Brung Within the Rules Cup" (the nameing rights are still up for bid and could change if anything better comes along). This series will run on Wednesday nights with a start time of 5pm Pacific for qualifying and 6:25 pm Pacific for the start of the race. Each race will be set to run for approx. one hour. Every attempt will be made to have the nights racing completed by 7pm Pacific. With this in mind, please be on time. First race is scheduled for Jan. 4, 2011.

Series structure:

Twelve races at twelve different tracks over the course of twelve weeks. Racers will drop their two worst points performances from the twelve races for the purpose of crowning the overall champion.

Eligible cars:

All cars (new and used) will be eligible with the following exception: No race cars or race modified cars will be allowed. There will be a limit on HP at 433 and the minimum weight allowed is 1250 KG. The tire for this series will be Sports Soft. No other tire compound will be allowed. Each driver may only use a car model one time in the race series. Example: Driver 1 uses a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X in week one. The driver would not be allowed to use any Mitsubishi Lancer for the remainder of the series. The driver would be allowed to use another Mitsubishi such as a 3000GT or an FTO is they so chose to do.

Race format:

All drivers will meet in the race lobby at the scheduled start time. There will be a free run session that will serve as qualifying. This session will last 20 minutes. After the 20 minute session there will be a 5 minute break and then the race will start. The field will be capped at 16 drivers. Racers will start according to their qualifying position.

Points Format:

Standard Legit Racing points will be used for all events. Bonus points will be awarded to the top three qualifiers on a 3-2-1 scale. Racers will drop their two worst point performances of the season. The points format can be view by visiting www.Legit-Racing-League.net

Misc. rules:

Drivers will be subject to regular racing rules. Stay on the course at all times. If you go off course and improve your position, you must give the spot back. Do not engage in rough driving of any type. If any driver sees anything that violates either of these rules, they may report it to the host of the lobby either verbally or via PS3 message.

1:29, yeesh! I was lucky to hit 1.32's in qualifying. You guys are fast lappers. I've been mostly concerned with working in traffic and trying to keep calm and precise while in a crowd. Maybe I should balance my practices a little more.

thats really good.. if you do a 1:25 but then you crash, you will lose al the advantage that you had

IS anyone else seeing question marks all over this page instead of avatars?

All looks good to me. Perhaps to are on something:)

Had fun last night. I am trying to get Grommit to join. I work with him and he has not played GT in months. A real car lover he has lightly tuned NSX and his fiancée has a lightly tuned RX8. How do you feel he did?

The time sounds good to me. Starting at 8PM EST is a great time for me instead of 10PM.
But can we pick another day of the week like Thursday?

Hey guys, would like to sign up if you still have room!

Hey CanuckleheadII,

Thanks for joining S.N.A.I.L. 👍 Pretty sure we have a spot for my bro ;)

Please read the following:

We run a clean league by enforcing the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and we expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both.

Follow These Steps:
1. I add you to the drivers list as a New S.N.A.I.L. (Done)
2. You run the Time Trial.
3. You Private Message my GTPlanet account with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
4. I assign you to the appropriate Division, to give you the best racing possible.
5. A PSN friend request will be sent from the appropriate SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That is where you race on Sunday night.
6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday :)

The first post has all the rules and regulations for S.N.A.I.L. It is the first place you need to check if you have a question. If it's not answered there, feel free to post your question on the thread.

The second post has the current race lineup for Sunday and is updated weekly.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, post your choices in this thread.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all S.N.A.I.L.s to join as many as possible.

Welcome aboard and enjoy :)
