So, is there no solid Monday event? I may try something out of nothing solid is going down.

Good question. We need a Monday director to coordinate all of the various Monday events. 💡

Rally, any interest from Mr. Monday Mayhem himself?

Wolfsatz. any interest from the Wednesday director who plans a lot of Monday events too?

Hey, I think Joby's idea is the one that has the most interest so far and may draw enough interest to make it a regular event.

Last Monday event was a bust 👎 for us (Weaver and I) and DiftinAssasin.

...

With that said... I think you need to update the Schedule of Event so that it reflects Joby's event for next Monday 02/18.

Answering Joe's question, the next Monday 2/25 is free as far as I know. RallyW may want to also repeat his Rally event.

Found out why I can't keep the Zonda in check... I'm sick. I've been sick for a freaking month. It's not enough to stop me, but enough to slow me down. I would have rather been sick as a dog for a week than deal with this crap. If I don't start feeling better soon I might have to miss out on one of my favorite cars this Sunday 👎

I will not be on tonight (for a happier Mrs), but I will try some on Saturday and Sunday.

My practices have improved my skills, I suppose, but I am unenthusiastic.

Sure thing. I just got my PS3 back too from my bro in law, so I'll at least be able to participate in some of the side action, though serious races and sundays are still on the sideline since i'll be using the ds3. Wish this move would get moving along already!

Everyone that is currently, or is looking to in the future do a monday event please PM either a description or a link to one already posted. I'll get something whipped up by next week.

Drift, if your down, tomorrow night I'll be looking to do some drifting.

Yay another GT-R variant.
I've stopped looking at forza DLC, I'm getting so jealous.
/rant off

Moving on another subject, I gave the FGT a try and it's surprisingly fun. I wasn't racing against anybody though. Broke into the 1:18.800. You have to be very careful because this car bites back at any occasion. It's twitchy and unforgiving but rewarding when you're get it right.

The Pagani is a handful too, a bit less twitchy though.

Anybody else getting tired of the clio at GVR ?
It's been in the line-up since when ? Like 3-4 weeks ?

If you have something you would like to run on 2.25 by all means go for it. If not and people like the PCR we can run that again.

I think there is a huge problem with your series Joby. Your usage of the Snail tire rules is being seriously exploited. Since race cars can run race tires it gives them a huge advantage over all other cars...probably at least 15 PP advantage.

I would consider disallowing race cars or changing your tire rules. I may run in this if I have time but the current rules make it a walk in the park for people who pick all race cars. And that limits everyone's car car choices if they want to compete.

Maybe disallow race cars or at the very least take away race tires and make them run one step harder street tire than their current PP level would give them if they were a street car of the same PP.

So a 400 PP race car would run CS tires instead of RH. Currently you would have a 400pp race car running RH tires on the same track with 400pp street cars on SH tires. Huge disadvantage.

It's already mentioned in the thread dedicated to his series that they are going to run the tires this way for the first night and then discuss and vote after that night if they want to make any changes to the tire policy.

For what it's worth, I feel the same way, sort of. My preference would be to put everything on the same tires, either SH or SM and run it regardless of PP.

Joe and Bowler. In my testing it has not been as big an advantage as it may seem. At this PP cap at least there is a big price to pay to run more than one race car. But we shall see. This first week will be a big test for sure.

Come join us Monday:)

Maybe an idea could be one race car per person

I'd recommend running all cars on the same tires, also. Probably Comfort Soft or Sports Hard at this PP level. The fact that I could get three in with no problem (and actually just thought of a way I might get closer to the PP cap) at this low PP level means to me that a higher PP cap will only make it easier, and racing with race cars in every race will be a real possibility if the PP cap goes up one week or another. Suddenly everyone will be in the same cars.

I think the guys with the race cars will certainly have an advantage against similar PP cars…a significant one. Not only do they have better tires but they have stiffer suspension, closer gearing, and downforce. The only time it could be a disadvantage is racing at a big, high speed, wide turn track where the downforce might actually slow you down. For the most part, though, keeping everyone on the same tires would keep the racing the tightest in each race and make for the most diverse lineup. After all, the guy who picks a nuke for one race just to get a win in the bag might think twice if his 550PP car is running on CS tires…

That said, I haven't actually done any testing whatsoever, and if I get any done I might well change all of my cars before race night, but I think the first week is going to be a bit, err, "interesting."

I've been thinking about running an experiment and I would like some help with it. In free run practice like you normally would then turn off the HUD completely and compare lap times. Then turn the HUD back on and see how it turns out.

And on a different note I would like to run a race with everyone using the interior view with all HUD off. Just for super realism 👍

I might be able to do all this tomorrow afternoon if anyone else is interested.

Sounds fun. Too bad you can't force that.

Ok D1 guys. What flavor err color of FGT are you guys using.

I've got 8 of 10 colors and 6 of them are broken in and usable for the race.

It's doesn't matter so to speak but a colorful field is always better. ;)

Rather than speculate give it a try:) at this PP the only race cars are either over 425 PP or under 375. So look at it this way if I choose a 475 PP and 2 375 PP race cars and one 375 normal car do you really think you have an advantage over the guy that chooses 4 400 PP cars? Sure you will win one race easily. You may even win by 30 seconds or more. But point wise you it is no different than winning by a second. And in the other three races you will probably be beaten. The goal is to win the night not individual races.

In another example with my cars. I have a 422PP race car and a 400PP non race car. At Daytona the non race car holds about a second a lap advantage. Remember a lot will have to do with when people use there cars. If I know you are using your big gun I can choose to use my slowest car. At that point I increase my advantage for the other three races.

Strategy is key. As long as you drive the cars to there ability.

Can you tell I am looking forward to this:)

What are you uploading? Images? If so, sugarsync is probably not the best place to do that. I would recommend imgur.com.
