Intense and fun night in D1. Fell victim to Fuji's ridiculous penalty system and threw away a good chance at winning the last race.

Shame about that, it would have been a great 3-way battle for first place. 👎

Fun night, well done Dangerzone on your first participation in D1.

I have no problem with Fuji. You just need to know that you can't push those boundaries.

From my vantage it was great racing in Division 2. Glad to be with you guys.

Nothing like being grid filler. I ran more laps alone tonight than I did in three months in D2 and I have to file more complaints tonight than I did in three months in D2. Where or where is D 1.5? Also, who is the steward for D1, I know it's not me. Whoever it is will have two PM's on the way.

It was good having you 👍

Some close racing in D2, for sure. So close that from my vantage near the back in the second race at Indy, it was a noise-to-tail parade. No one seemed to be able to pass, and that's why I voted for it. I actually really liked driving that combo by myself.

Thanks, I did better than I expected to do. I also realized that there's a reason why some people in D1 are called aliens, cough cough worst driver cough cough, had two very close finishes at Fuji

Love the earlier start. Gonna wind down now.

Voted 3. Hope the car stays and the tracks goes.

Ditto on the vote!

I'd have liked more laps at Indy in qualifying...had to abandon laps 2 and 3 due to getting too close to the driver in front towards the end of lap 2 :(

:tup:Thanks to all the drivers in D2 for a awesome night of racing! First night back in over 5 months and the respect and patience of all of you was incredible! Special thanks to Garage Father for the awesome crossover that saved me in turn 1 at Indy! Great job and thanks Ap for running the room:tup:

Heh. That was the one that I won! I had no right winning that. I was losing over a second per lap in the first race. In the second I got in the front early when a couple of cars went off and never looked back. I'm guessing my early braking points and bad lines kept people at bay! ;)

I must say there was very aggressive driving in D1. Since this was my first week in D1 and I had zero practice with the last two combos (and I am going on vacation tomorrow) I am going to let it ride this week because I just don't have time.

But next week...

Maybe true, but you were the only one without benefit of the draft, so in my book, you earned that one. :)

What kind of IDIOT crosses the finish line at Fugi, takes the hands off the wheel all happy with is final third position in the race and then, only when his Corvette starts spinning around like crazy realizes that there's still a lap to go???
Answer? SCHMIGGZ!!!
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh!

Since the preference is to have someone in D2 be the D1 steward, I'm going to move dabneyd over from the D5 steward to the D1 steward. Therefore, you'll be moved to the D5 steward. Basically, you two are switching spots.

Lol last time I did that I just flat out rear ended the car I was drafting. Scared me to death as I was expecting silence and my headset went BOOM!

It's like that every week. You might as well fire away and get used to filing a couple a week. Its just the nature of the division. Its not all on purpose but if you aren't aggressive you'll get run over.

DrKronin, I've noticed that you've contributing a lot in the stewards forum. 👍

Therefore, I'd like to give you the role of divisional steward for D3. Please let me know if you object. :nervous:

Helluva night racing in D4. That is a very respectful bunch of drivers. Only other thing to say is, race 6, lap 5, 3 wide, turn 1, Exo, blazter and I got through it clean. 👍

Ha! I haven't done that with SNAIL, but I've definitely done it several times in my days racing the CPU.

That reminds me…I slammed into the back of someone pretty hard at the end of the straight at Fuji tonight. To whoever it was, sorry about that. Fortunately I don't think it bothered you too much, but it probably bugged the guys behind me who were trying to pass me while I trudged on in heavy traffic with a penalty, a broken engine, and busted bearings (or something) in my front wheels! Ouch.

If you feel that another driver exhibited poor racecraft or is guilty of an OLR Rules violation, please file a complaint by 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific on Monday night. You must follow the complaint process precisely or your complaint will not be addressed!! If you're undecided on whether or not you should file a complaint, please read this.

I think a some put winning over race craft. There doesn't have to be all that contact. I can name several drivers that were absolutely clean AND fast. While some were fast at the expense of others. Nothing ridiculously heinous but a lot of love taps just hard enough to upset or move the car ahead from it's normal line.

Next week should be fun :) I had a few races where I had the lead and just screwed up. Might behoove me to actually put more than zero practice laps in before the races :)

First time being in S.N.A.I.L Racing Series tonight. Spun off quite often and I am glad I didn't cause any accident tonight.

I thoroughly enjoy racing you Qwietstorm, dangerzone, owens, hill, dabney... I have raced several weeks with you guys in practices and it is great. You're a bad influence on me. Lol. Me and dangerzone have had some great and intense battles. I don't find you guys aggressive at all. You just race hard.

D1 is a bit on the aggressive side but rarely does anyone actually make a move that hurts the other driver. Me and Owens had a great side by side at Indy that lasted half the lap with only slight bumps while doing it. To me that's somewhat part of racing when you're racing at the limit. We both could have backed down enough to not have any bump but then the other would get ahead. At least from my view I like racing against the guys in D1 and find them to be clean most of the time. From time to time it does get a bit rough but usually it's just a racing incident and when you look at it from the other drivers view it was just an accident. Over time you'll learn who races aggressive and who is clean. Most are clean.
