FYI all, the elimination vote was a landslide for Round 2, but a dead heat for second place. Round 1 and Round 3 were tied initially, but then the votes for the prize winners were removed as always. Two of the three voted for Round 2 so that didn't affect anything. However, after Worst_Driver's vote for Round 1 was nullified, Round 3 became the round with the second most votes.

tcrash, I just sent you a Level 24 ticket from last week. Looks like you could be getting one for this week too. :)

👍

It took me almost a year to win a prize:crazy:. Now possibly two in a row!:D

I appreciate the prize but its mostly about coming out, having fun and racing with friends!:):)

Great job as always Worst_Driver and Owens. And the same goes for the rest of the guys in D1. Great racing this past Sunday.

I took a bad line on the final lap of the second race at Deep Forest Reverse coming out of the last tunnel and lost about 4 or 5 spots. Owens and I would have been really close for second if it hadn't been for my mistake.

I'm off today and want to get this week's report wrapped up by 10 pm tonight.

*We need each division steward to spot check the replays for their division and verify the top finishers ran clean laps. Let me know if you are unable to do this today before 8pm.

*kcheeb didn't race Sunday. We need someone from D2 to upload the replays please.

Well done too Qwiet, I get scared when I have a bright yellow spot in my mirror because I know if I mess up, someone will be there to take advantage of my error.

I'm having fun racing with you guys, I can't wait until next week to race my new combo. I just gave it a run and believe it should make some great close racing. 👍

Here's a question that could possibly benefit the WHOLE league...Worst, when you practice during the week, how exactly do you practice? I mean other than the Wednesday night practice, how do you practice alone? Do you work on running fast laps, running consistent laps, finding ideal lines and shift points?

I can get out there in each combo and practice alone but after 2 laps in each car on each track I get bored. Any tips would be helpful.

Worst you get scared??? I can't imagine the fastest in the league being scared of anyone when your in the car. It was great fun racing with you and it's definitely hard racing with you guys when all you guys are definitely faster and more consistent than I am

I mostly focus on getting brake points right especially on slow corners after a long straight (like fuji). I work on getting visual references on where to brake when there's no brake markers too.

When I've got a hard time with a car, (like the FGT recently), I'm trying to be consistent first then I'm trying for fast laps.

Also, I'm putting my attention on corners leading to straights (very important in order to be faster at the end of the straight) and fast corners too (to see if I can go full throttle or not )

And one more thing I practice is race starts just to get a feel of the first sector of the track on cold tires and to get my braking point right for the first turn at starting speed.

I'm only practicing the new car/track combos of the current week though and over the course of the week I'm practicing for an hour or so.

I hope it helps. 👍

You did very well for your first night in D1. You'll get used to our way of racing.

I'm taking the time here to apologize for a bump I gave you @ DFR, it was a lack of self-awareness from my part. Nothing intentional. :)

Edit: Sorry for the double post. :ouch:

Thanks Worst. Helps a ton. I usually only get practice on Wednesdays but maybe I'll start practicing an hour or so a couple days a week to see if I can get any better.

Oh and one more thing, in race cars and powerful RWD street cars, check if you're faster off the line in second gear instead of first. The Zonda was so much faster starting in second, as the RM Corvette was this week.

It's cool, it's racing and you were clearly faster so it's ok

90% sure I'm working Sunday night out of town, again. I'm never going to make it out of D3 :grumpy:(not that I don't like you guys:tup:)

Thank you and congratulations to all the gold star drivers!:cheers:Many more to come soon! I found the official sign up dates for Ap (page 67, March 4th) and Goat ( page 87, March 12th).

Anything going on tonight? Any interest in some PP parity racing if nothing else is scheduled?

I would love to do something tonight. I will get home from basketball practice around 7pm pacific time grab a bite to eat and see what's going on. Anything that doesn't require a lot of prep and I'm in.

I am stuck on Jury Duty and will be unable to view the D2 Replays:( I might be able to look at them late tonight but not before

How about some snail shuffle? No prep work needed!

I'm not much of a photog, but here are a couple of pics from D2 I liked:
