BTW, did anyone notice the ban notice on the GT5 home screen? looks like PD is coming down on people running hacks online. Not that I race anything more then shuffle rooms if I do hope (and hop) online. But I must say, I am glad to see this. Its already dirty enough in lobbies without adding cars like that to the mix.

Great racing? How about fantastically superb downright to the teeth wheel to wheel action that just never stopped. I had a few of the best races in my snail career last night! I say that a quite a bit, but it's because it happens all the time!

DrGreenThumb and I had some pretty good battles last night. I forgot how close some people can race and not give anything 👍

Also Albitfosi and me went side by side through the chicane at Nürburg without touching and that was just cool on top of cool with a little dash of awesome 👍

Last night was incredible. 👍 .We did that through the chicane more than once too. Whoever picked that combo with the Mazda at the nurburgring deserves a thank you from everyone here. It allows for such close, clean racing. Thank you sooo much. 👍

Thanks for your interest! We would love to have you in the series. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You run the Time Trial. (NOTE: The tires selected for this have more grip than our current tire regulations allow, but please follow the directions exactly anyways).
2. You PM kcheeb with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
3. We assign you to the division that we feel will give you the closest competition.
4. We send you a you a PSN friend request from the corresponding SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That PSN account's lounge is where you will race on Sunday night.
6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

Please note that we often race DLC from three add-on packs:

Racing Car Pack
Course Pack
Twin Ring Motegi Pack

If you don't have these add-on packs, you will need to sit out the races in which they are used.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, post your choices in this thread.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

As amazing as the pics were they don't do the race justice. Honestly that race could be used as a "snail strives for this" video. That was the hardest I've ever pushed a car ever. My race with DrGreenThumb was a test of keeping cool, swapping lines, and waiting. This race was "holy crap I gotta freaking go!" The harder I pushed the harder you pushed and the more awesome it got.

I can't race tonight, but how about tomorrow night? Maybe if I change my oil I'll stay in first or win by -.4 seconds

Good lap. In practice races (not qialifying) on Wednesday the fast guys were turning anywhere from mid 1:16 to low 1:17 unless in a battle.

First sector is pretty much what most were averaging. 31s to low 32s.

I admit, I left.

Chatva and mike (?) could pull over to the side, let me go by while they were dead stopped, and catch me before a half lap. They are great.

I love GT5, yet I do not enjoy my lack of driving skill, and more depressing, my sense of not learning or improving in a year plus. Many have helped, but the help does not seem to 'stick' and help me as much as I hoped in the future.

Attention yet again SNAILmart shoppers!!!

I have now finished updating what will become the new color chart! Once I get my PVR back, I will also be adding exact paint chip colors to the chart!

As I have been going through this I have noticed there are a lot of people not active in snail that are on the list. So from this time forward anyone that has "fallen from the face of the earth" or is gone for more then a season will be removed from the list and loss their colors and number. If you request to be moved to the associate SNAIL list and wish to keep your colors, they will be saved for your return so long as you are mildly active. If you have no activity on the forum for a period of three season, at that time, you're colors/number will be relinquished.

I would also like to put out there that while we like to keep everyone colors as unique as we can, please do not hesitate to request a color. If someone is running the exact same color, or if the shades are so similar as that they appear the same, or very close, I may ask that you pick something in a different shade. This applies for only the body, feel free to pick any wheel color. As always, color and number priority goes to the driver with seniority.

Yes, I would prefer a specific color, as it will help to make sure no one is over lapping. Espeically since you and cmbeal are running the same colors. Beal, do you have a certain color red you use?
Maybe not today, but tomorrow at the latest I will rehash the paint chip cycler system again, and how I would like to run it in conjunction with the color chart.
