FYI I voted for round 1 in a pm to room host just after leaving the last race.

I never received a PM from you. I would had definitely forwarded it to dabneyd if I did:)

Next time, send it to me, I'm the scorekeeper. I just added it to the spreadsheet.

I agree! dabneyd is the scorekeeper and I am the host/race director.

I would call that an investment in karma. I think everyone knows the term "get Schmigged" and I got Schmigged like nobody has been Schmigged before! Great racing Schmiggy!

Thank you sir, i appreciate your kind words:D. Was definitely an amazing racing session for me:tup::cheers:

How about picking something new, interesting, extravagant and original from the OCD?

I forgot to claim my prize C from weeks ago, so here it is! Can I have the 1970 ticket please?

That means you too schmiggz

Btw. I'll be in d3 running my touge track and tuning some cars if anyone is interest.

FWIW, I don't consider Schmiggz's posts as double-posting. First of all, they were made 20 minutes apart. Anyone who read his first post within the first 20 minutes of him making it is very unlikely to notice an edit that's made 20 minutes later. I've missed quite a few posts in the past because of that very same reason.

Also, his two posts are unrelated. It's wasn't as if he was continuing the same thought in a separate post just a few seconds or minutes apart (like Drgreenthumb often does ). But in all seriousness, if making two separate posts that appear consecutive on the thread is a rules violation, I'd have been banned from here a long time ago.

stop double posting

learn to edit your post if you have something else to say

Here's a lesson for the double-posters. There is an edit button. Use it.

See? It will be at the bottom right of anything you post. There a precious few situations where you should ever double-post. Further, it's against GTPlanet's acceptable use policy. When you double post you piss off the mods, and when you piss off the mods you make us all look bad.

Here's the official rule on Double-Posting:

“Double posting” occurs when a user makes two consecutive posts, one after another. If this is done for no apparent reason, or if the posts are unimportant, “double posting” is looked down upon and may result in a warning or infraction for “spam”. You can edit any of your forum posts on GTPlanet at any time, and this is generally the best option to take if you have more to add to the discussion. However, it is not expressly forbidden, and can be useful in many cases. For example, if a reasonable amount of time has passed or you have significant information to add to the topic, present it in a new post so that others, including thread subscribers, are made aware of the update.

I don't want pointless double-posting on this thread either, but as the text I put in bold indicates, it's not always a sin to have two posts that appear right on top of another. Sometimes, someone just has something else to say and nobody else has made a post in the meantime.

I can use the zero post find ing skill and show where he has posted 3 times in two minutes too. We just had a mod on here about double posts, lets not let that become a habit.

And as a counter debate, his second post added nothing useful Nor was it really a second topic, if anything, it would have added to his first.

Prize C selection from 4/7/13...
1969 birthday ticket please.

Thanks for posting your selection. I'll send it over tonight (but remind me if I forget to).

Thanks guys! I've updated the results post with the vote. 👍

I'm not saying he hasn't double-posted before (the bad kind), I'm just saying I don't see what the big deal is about his posts above.

And as a counter debate, his second post added nothing useful Nor was it really a second topic, if anything, it would have added to his first.

How do you figure? The first post was a reply to a comment made about the racing last week. The second post was a combo suggestion for next week. Just sayin'..

I wasn't picking on anyone in particular. I've just noticed it happening more often lately and the message from the mod. Hoping the big red text would be eyecatching and make people think about using the edit feature.

Can I join this Sunday races?

If yes, which division?

Schools out sunday 16:30 eastern :)

Do you remember this post? How have you progressed on your task in the very last paragraph? Do you have current S.N.A.I.L. who will vouch that you have raced with us in the Open Lobby and proven to be a clean racer now?

I'm going to let Zer05ive handle this request. Hasn't he been banned from SNAIL?

He is, but jobyone and I laid out clear guidelines for him to follow if he wanted to rejoin. In a nutshell, he was supposed to race with us in the Open Lobby during Wednesday night practices to prove that he has improved his racecraft. He won't regain access to any of the SNAIL lounges until that is done.

I believe Maxime has been off from racing for a while and probably needs to spend a couple of weeks racing in the Wednesday night practice session. I have raced a few evenings with him prior to his break, and can confirm he is doing much better at following the OLR.

Yeah but the only problem with it is what happened to me last night. In order to give your position back i had to let panda go too... that sucked!!! :(
But it's worth to keep the good spirits in.

Don't worry dude, if your locked up with me and panda your finishing near the top 👍

What part of that list says no double posting, all I saw was "this conversation is troll bait"

That or he slid off the track when we did :sly: Seems like we tend to do that at the same time lol

"You will, if asked by a representative of the forums, cease posting any content."

Can you cut out the double posts please?

Use the edit button or multi-quote feature. Thanks.

daan is a moderator, btw.
