albtifosi is a seriously fast driver. The data doesn't reflect how good he really is.

I'll second this. There's been times that he's had me shaking in my boots and other times where he just flat leaves me in the dust! Think about it. D4 driver prancing all over a D2 driver.

When I was in d3 I right he was in d2. When I got in d2 I was really confused. If Albitfosi works on his consistency a bit he'll be be FAST.

Just dled the rfactor demo, but until I upgrade a few things (video card, triples and much more memory) I'll be getting into it slowly. I have a few projects around the house to take care of, then I'll be working on the new rig too. Looking into something like d-box or simxperience.going to be a super busy summer constructing!

So, to that affect, how many snails sim on the pc too? Maybe we can get a side thing going there too? We keep this up and we may need to have GTP give us our own section! Snail is getting huge and expansive.

Yeah. I noticed. Bastards! How is that game? I've been thinking of starting up in iRacing again, but I'm holding off until I see how next semesters work load goes. Not going to pay for a subscription if I can't play. Which leaves mostly games like rFactor. I'll be investing in a few more ps3s though, for triple screen GT!

Last night was fun after a two week hiatus. I was missing my weekly dosage of SNAIL.
Had some great wheel to wheel racing on Rome and Lacuna Seca. Spa was fun but as usual race cars don't make for close racing even though they are fun to drive.

Sadly I won't make it next sunday because I'm going to the F1 Grand Prix of Canada so if someone can save the replays it would be greatly appreciated.

I'll try to post some photos of last night before wednesday.

Oh and June and July are my two last full months that I'll be able to race with you guys.

Welcome back! The fabric of SNAIL has changed since you last raced with us in July, but not the spirit. I'll post the unabridged welcome post just so you have all the needed info. Re-run the time trial, send your time to kcheeb and we'll get you assigned back to a competitive division.

Thanks for your interest! We would love to have you in the series. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You run the Time Trial. (NOTE: The tires selected for this have more grip than our current tire regulations allow, but please follow the directions exactly anyways).
2. You PM kcheeb with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
3. We assign you to the division that we feel will give you the closest competition.
4. We send you a you a PSN friend request from the corresponding SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That PSN account's lounge is where you will race on Sunday night.
5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

Please note that we often race DLC from three add-on packs:

I downloaded simraceway the other day....haven't tried it with a wheel and I'm not convinced I'll be able to use it for hours on end since I don't think my laptop is good enough but it's been reasonably fun so far (I haven't bought anything, just using whatever is available for free).

I have Simraceway installed, but I haven't had a great amount of fun with it. The physics seem off, and I have rarely gotten through a race cleanly. The most interesting feature of that game is the ability to accrue points to buy new cars simply by racing cleanly, which goes back to the rare clean race issue I mentioned.

I do also have iRacing, but I'm going to let that lapse once my initial three months are up. It's just too expensive to be worth it.

I love iRacing to death but it's way too much money. Simraceway is good for what it is though. I mean it is basically free but you do end up paying for cars and stuff. I hope project cars is good. I want to try it so bad. I'm putting a new pc together so it can handle more games like this. Ordered a couple of GTX 680's and I am pairing them with a GIGABYTE sniper with an i7 3770k. Ups cannot deliver them fast enough.

Freaking awesome battles i had last nite with kcheeb and dabneyd. It was fantastic as it made me think... boy! If i wasnt so lazy to practice the combos i could definitely climb up a division.

Have to admit though, it wasn't my "great" driving that won, but rather a rash of mistakes by the rest of the field. I have also just completed the 24hr Nurb, mostly in rain so was very familiar with how that car behaves. dabney was catching me in both races by seconds a sector and I swear he scared the crap out of me on lap 4 when I saw the split went from something like 5 seconds to .9, looked back to a view of dabney with some big grin on. Not sure what happened to him in that fast left before the last chicane, but if he'd not gone off, he would've went by me no later than Eau Rouge on lap 5. Spa and I just seem to get along, really well. Low power cars on narrow tracks are the bane of my racing though. You saw what happened at Rome. If that track stays, I don't care if the car changes or not, I'll probably sit that round out. And London will likely be the same scenario.

Looking forward to see what gets the axe and what gets added.

Yeah, dragon had the Peugot flying. He went by me at the top of eau Rouge like I was standing still 👍
