well this looks exciting for this sunday. and for the lapping cars if your running in the back you know the leaders will be coming. and for practice night maybe keep the rooms too about 12 drivers or practice with the division you will be running on sunday.

Yes, drivers at the back should know faster lapping cars are coming, I agree, but the question has been how is everyone going to most easily identify them since people run different views, UI, and name tags. I think most people by now should know the fast runners in their division, and should be able to see them quickly catching them if they're about to lap them, so I hope it's not as big of an issue. My main concern was hoping people remembered the rules concerning lapped cars in terms of track position. The main thing is for lapped traffic to avoid making sudden unexpected movements across the track. Cars lapping lapped traffic plan well ahead how they will pass. If cars are swerving to get out of the way, that unpredictability is far worse than just easing off the gas a bit, sticking to your line, and staying calm. Don't brake early either, as the consequences of brake checking starts to come into effect.

@MartinJohn88 - I'm guessing that a microphone for the lead driver is the fastest/easiest method, if connections allow. If first place is coming up on someone, and says "Leader coming up on Fibber McGee" or "Leader coming up on lurid purple car" or "Handlebar about to lap #44" it may work. Even that system has plenty of flaws, I agree.

last sunday a car became bigger and bigger in my mirror and as it was close i heard by mic "sinna passing on your right" - guess it was @Nail-27 - on and out in 2 sec, i did not have to chose right or left and by wrong decision cause an incident and then used the slipstream of him - win/win i guess

I know I said it. Anybody else that doesn't like having rules enforced when they break them want to chime in a take a shot at my choice? Go right ahead.
What are you gonna do? Take spare time off of work and go on another headhunt, at your leisure, only because you felt like it, only the rules you feel like enforcing, against random specific people, only in your division?

Again?

For once, I can't believe I prefer to grade spelling and essays to reading the thread... I'm HAPPILY going to go hide in my grading hole for awhile.

To quote one of my (memorable) students:

"L8R D00dz."

(Yes, that's a direct quote from the paper in front of me - a 6th grade "Gifted and talented" student chose those words to finish his essay on the Boston Massacre...)

Make sure he writes it using cursives next time ...lol

An unpopular celebrity once selected his only choice to inflict some pain for pleasure and show us that you sometimes need to be cruel to be kind. This Disgustingly delicious combination which some will vote as least favorite will make them run slowly all alone together in deafening silence and clearly confused. However, for others this painfully beautiful combination will allow them to show how the random order in the enjoyment of a small crowd can put a true myth to rest. I can only act naturally in sweet agony a short wait to get this combo voted off. :P

@Lessen

that is quite the oxymoron of the day. How do you do that in reverse grid?

So yeah... I'm just gonna lead and let everybody else deal with it. :)

So you can leave the leaderboard on the screen when racing and remove the names of the drivers above the cars in front of you.
Could someone explain how that's done...thanks

When in the garage screen while in a online room, click on the green binoculars symbol, then go into the settings there to turn the names off.

You have to do this every time you go to a new room online.

My constant beverage of choice is diet doctor pepper and rum, preferably Kraken

To add to what Dragonwhisky said.. If you're going to act belligerent on this thread, at least do it with proper grammar (including proper usage of capital letters). I've already asked GTP mods to give you a second chance and not ban you from the site for violating Rule #2 of the AUP. I PM'd you as a courtesy to give you fair warning as well. Please don't make me regret it.

A Dr. Pepper fan! I didn't think there were any of us left!

If there are any left their numbers should dwindle rapidly since the soft drink hasn't been Dr. Pepper since the 1950s. The name was changed in the fifties to Dr Pepper, dropping the period for stylistic and readability reasons.

Kraken aye? I am a Sailor Jerry fan myself. I also like Dr. P, but prefer rum and coke when I drink it.

Sailor J works for me in a pinch as well, but I've sailed far from ye ole captain Morgan, ha...

I feel that the diets compliment the booze better, I also cannot stand corn syrup sweetened sodas, gotta be diet or real sugar for me!
