If we had a livery editor, I'd be fine with the cars we already have... Well, maybe another Ferrari (i.e. 333 sp) and/or Porsche (i.e 914, 911 RS, 944) wouldn't hurt!
Well???
Awesome job Coach, I'm just about to financially get into Karting next month too. Just sourcing competitive 125 shifters at the moment. We have an awesome track in Grand Junction, on the Colorado, Utah border. 1.3 miles. They've held the Nationals there a few times.
Good luck for the year, We'll have to share pictures? What a blast!
The indoor kart track we have here is in a warehouse that's just too small. There's a section out of a tight turn where you can't even go side by side. @RobbiefromBC have you been to TBC in Richmond? If so, you know what I'm talking about, lol.
Managed a high 29s Lap last time I went... The walls on that corner get moved around too much, haven't had the chance to run the new karts yet but I hear they're running quicker lap times
I think I managed a mid 30s on the old ones, and been on the new ones twice. I think I matched it on the new ones, but will have to go again soon. I've been tempted to try the karts down in Sumas. They have shifter karts there.
Might have to schedule a time to head down there, seeing as though we're not too far away from one another 👍
Just wait until the rest of the tire regulation changes take effect.
If you want to know when that will be, I direct you to this post.
I'm really sorry about that. I forgot that I put that up on the www. version of our snailracing.org URL address. We were playing around with having a website a while back (to help us organize our numerous GTP threads and important posts, rules, etc), but that project kinda lost its steam amid other league projects.I was hoping to join for last week's races, but I believe I posted my request in the wrong place (I put it http://www.snailracing.org/ .) So, maybe posting here may get a better response. My PSN username is F8T0RQUE360 (note the zero in t0rque), hope to see an invite to the club soon!
For snail your right more race cars would be pointless but in leagues where they run divisional racing like the gt500 series sports car series or even the gt class cars variety is important. To be quite honest I'd rather never run a racecar in GT, lots of good road/sports cars which to me bring way better races
Not real kart racing. This was at Pole Position. They use electric karts that they say have a top speed of 45 mph, but you never reach that because of the silly turns.
I had my Gopro all set to mount on my helmet, but apparently I failed to turn off the wifi on it, so the battery was dead.
Here is a pic from the last race of the night. I wasn't in this one. And my race results from my last race.
Thank you for these words @jnmjeeper , you shaked up a certain race feeling in me, therefore, @GamingPete , what about a helmcam race at Daytona Langenzersdorf, , 30 minutes max per car for both of us, PM pls, servus und GaudiI'm not unhappy. Just sayin'
Awesome to see you out there doing the real thing on whatever is available. For me the only thing available is this karting track about 40ish miles from me, probably 15ish miles from @DCschwinn, and maybe 40ish miles from @vsfit. Hmmm..
This is an official call out. I want to kart race!
Like you mentioned at the end of the evening we vote for the combo we least liked. From there it is simple math. The combo with the most votes disappears and become Prize A. Winner of prize A gets to choose a new car and track.Happy Friday/Weekend to one and all! Where can I find an explanation of how the event combos evolve? I know we voted a combo out last week, but I am not sure how/why Tokyo, Lexus and Grand Valley are in the events this week. I know this is intuitive for most and I promise that I looked hard before posting. Thanks in advance. BTW, the Elan at AR (reverse) is a hoot!!
I'll learn to drive whatever you throw at me or I'll finsh last!
Either way I won't complain!
New rig, New attitude!
BRING IT!!!
I have to say, I ran the new TTs last night. I wasn't expecting much at all with what I consider to be cars that are, less than awe inspiring. I was more than pleasantly surprised by that Elan. It gave some good ButtKicker and even more pleasantly surprising, was a hoot to drive on Comfort Soft tires. It actually felt like driving a high powered car at a slower rate and could be steered with the throttle. It would push when and where expected and oversteer could be induced with judicious applications of steering angle and throttle. It's the funnest non awe inspiring car I've ever driven. My times may get shoved way down the board before the day is over but it was still fun to squirrel around at Autumn Ring.
That Evo at Tokyo? Well, lets just say, that one, met expectations.
