Elan is well suited for Autumn Ring, I think. And it's an interesting handling car and somewhat unusual I think.
It's always been a favourite of mine, and I've raced it several times, and each time people are pleasantly surprised.

I've only raced it on Autumn Ring Mini before... so I'm having trouble with that loop when I gave it a try yesterday.

It's also pretty nice looking, IMHO.

I'm not unhappy. Just sayin'

Awesome to see you out there doing the real thing on whatever is available. For me the only thing available is this karting track about 40ish miles from me, probably 15ish miles from @DCschwinn, and maybe 40ish miles from @vsfit. Hmmm..

This is an official call out. I want to kart race!

We've got a custom made cart course at a neighbors house, its about a 1000 foot walk down a path through the woods. In the summer we'll run our 100-125 shifters there. Oh yea, it helps that the neighbor is in the asphalt and concrete business. Every year he's adding or changing the layout. Last year we got some banking added to a high speed turn. This year he's adding some elevation changes.

And yes, I've had my "toy" car on the track.

Until about three years ago I had not sat in a cart for 25 years but raced them through my teens.

My ride:
GRG Evo w/ 125 Rotax and paddles.

Because ever since the first Gran Turismo, it's been more about the street cars than the race cars. You're playing the wrong game if you want race car after race car after race car. Try posting them here
Yes Falango, I know that granturismo is a little more street car oriented but, I would definitely pick some of the hundreds of Miatas, S2000's, RX7's and some truly useless cars we have in this game such the Subaru 360, the Daihatsu Midget or the Citroën 2cv and replace them for some of the babies I showed before.

Pictures, or it didn't happen :)

Speaking about street cars...
if we have this...

Why don't we have this?
Lamborghini_Sesto_Elemento.jpg

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento.

You could go on and on and on about why there are cars "missing" from the game. Just because we have Lamborghini doesn't mean every single Lambo should be there. It's just frustrating when people can't be satisfied with the game. I'm not referring to you @Schmiggz when I say this, if you haven't already seen it, go look at the rest of the GT6 forum, but people (read the average GTP member) complain that Ferrari and Lamborghini aren't in the game, and then they get added, and people complain that we only have 15 or so Ferraris and 5 Lambos, and we should have other ones. There's just no end to it and it's annoying. My 2 cents.

Reminder for those that are interested. Race Camp starts tonight.

Introducing Race Camp 2015, this going to be a 4-6 week course. The main goals of Race Camp are to instruct beginner drivers in all aspects of driving a race car, or running a road course properly.

Each session will be between 60-120 minutes. We will be using all drivetrain variations, along with many different tire compounds. By covering all aspects, the drivers will be prepared for whatever combination you might be asked to drive.

There will be a lot of 1 on 1 instructions, along with questions being answered. Room opens in the club lobby around 9:15pm Eastern. We will promptly get started at 9:30pm Eastern.

Course Outline

  • Identifying corner entry, apex, corner exit
  • Differences in early apex, and late apex cornering (Pro's, Con's)
  • Difference in braking techniques and braking points (Brake Application, Early, Late, Threshold)
  • Application of Throttle (Modulation, When/Where)
  • Proper lines to setup for multiple corners
  • General car control
  • General racecraft advice
  • Passing Techniques
  • Pyschological side of racing

Car's that will be used during Race Camp

  • Honda Integra Type R '04 (DC5) CM/CS/SH
  • Honda Integra Type R '04 Touring Car SM/SS/RH
MR/RR[/B}
  • Toyota MR2 GT Limited CM/CS/SH

Isn't there a car wish list thread somewhere? All these if we have this, why don't we have this posts should go over there. The short answer is licensing. I'm sure if you negotiated the agreements and wrote the check to all the necessary parties including the manufacturer, all sponsors on the race cars, and PD, Kaz would be happy to send a team to model the car.

If we have this.....

Don't we have at least a couple of suitable substitutes for the Batmobile?

On to more important business.

The driver's list has been updated. New drivers that have submitted time trials have been placed.

The following drivers have been assigned a new division for the final week of the Jan. season: @Ricky Wilson @gtr3123 @Ph1sher

I know there's a proper place to suggest cars, but we're just having fun pointing out how many race car versions of existing GT cars are lacking. Almost every car has a race ready version.

I can't imagine how crappy this game would be if all they focused on was modeling 6000 cars and 4500 tracks. All the more for people to complain about, while still complaining about the lack of cars.

Besides, modeling a race version of a car isn't as simple as just adding bits to the stock car model. There might be some pieces reused, but it's modeling an entirely new car. Beyond that, entirely new textures, new sounds, etc.

Yeah well its getting quite distracting and becoming a annoyance. Take it to the proper thread.

Agreed. This thread isn't a wishlist.

OOOH , Vsfit I know the picture is 35 years old but still have my kart and I am on my way, Sorry about race camp, me and vsfit are running karts tonight.
