I'll try and get online and do some testing. Not sure if I will be able to though. If not, whatever is picked is what it is. I just wing it.
Using different tires defeats the purpose of spec racing. It's not even spec racing anymore in that case.
I have a room open testing LFA at SSR5 reverse. Anyone have any lap times of the fast guys that I can gauge where I stand? If so, thanks and much appreciated.
Is there a promotion/relegation occurring this week?
I guess adjusting BB, installing chassis reinforcements (and changing rim sizes ...) falls under the same catgory. Only difference is that you can monitor tyre types, but not the others.
I think I'll write a note to Kamakazi to render the "invisible" changes as tuning and that he should make the correction in a future update....
Those tend to happen at the end of the month
We're using the premium 2005 version right?
Interesting fact about the Ford GT!
When you paint it, it doesn't automatically put the racing stripes on like the SRT Viper. It stays how you bought it in the dealership! I'm thinking for this one car I'm gonna switch to Old Generation 004-W because it's very similar to Royal Blue but the stripes are white instead of black. Looks like a classic Ford.
Edit: Crap. Nevermind. Only works for the 2006 model. Really makes you go WTF that it's not on both)

No.Question: Is it a requirement to have a number placard on your car?
Okay, thanks for the info! I had heard tell that it was a every 2 weeks kinda thing, but I'm happy to stick around and try my best to raise to the D2 challenge before I get booted
Well, can we consider revising the tire compound rules again so that road cars like this Ford GT are not hampered by a race tire?No you can not. Everyone must use the same tire compound.
Does the rim size affect performance? This is a question I've heard come up but have never heard a definitive answer to.I guess adjusting BB, installing chassis reinforcements (and changing rim sizes ...) falls under the same catgory. I have a feeling the answer is gonna be no. There will always be some cars that are on the edge of regulations that many will feel can go one way or the other.Well, can we consider revising the tire compound rules again so that road cars like this Ford GT are not hampered by a race tire?

The rules were just changed recently. The answer will likely be no.......
If I remember, someone said they had tested the car on SS tires, which was the first mistake.
Sometimes when you change things, you don't get it just right the first try, or second, or third, etc...The rules were just changed recently. The answer will likely be no.......

Hopefully the combo is driven before a decision is made.
Have you driven it yetI can't imagine why it should get an exception. Just because?
The rules about tire compound are not new, nor hard to find. It be what it be, until the entire policy is overhauled. It is reexamined from time to time, but given the recent review, only a couple months ago, I can't imagine changing it for this combo. Personally, I'd vote against allowing an exception.
Pic's look pretty good. Just remember to use the THIRDS rule. Imagine two vertical lines on the picture frame. Place your object of interest over the lines. That will make for a much more interesting composition. Try it and see what you think. It is a photographers standard for action shoots.Tried my hand at the camera.... here's a few shots from Sunday
