And it won't be the last time that a member nit-picks another member's selection.
Solution: Be the next winner and let your choice be nit-picked.
We're not nit picking, and in fact it is the combo selector who has the same concerns. Clearly this isn't going anywhere, but at least it was brought up for discussion. I'll wait until everyone drives it during practice tomorrow to say anymore, but don't say we didn't warn you!

"We".... Interesting word choice...

I choose the Ford GT '05 at Monza. It will be on race hard tires, post oil change PP/HP is 578/577 and I think mid divison times will be around 1:51-1:52.

Good point....

Just go test the car on the two different compounds, I think you'll quickly see what I'm getting at.

Well, can we consider revising the tire compound rules again so that road cars like this Ford GT are not hampered by a race tire?

Sometimes when you change things, you don't get it just right the first try, or second, or third, etc...

I may buy GT6. I'm not certain though. It's been out so long now that I'd have to play it for weeks to accumlate the skill/money/tracks/license etc to play online competively! Now if C&M where an option...

You don't need to acquire the tracks. You only need to get an international A to play on line, As for skill we got a division for that!

That Ford GT is nothing. I have a big problem with the LFA in reverse on SSR5. There is only one reverse gear, it maxes out at 75 km/h and it is extremely difficult to take the hairpins at a reasonable speed. I vote that we change the combo and drive forward so we can use all the gears.

@Xradkins and @Falango thanks very much for the advice. I know my Nikon much better than I know my GT6 camera! I specialize more in low light photography than fast action shots. It will be good practice for me to get a few action shots.

The seasonals alone would generally cover the car cost week to week almost all of the time.

The introduction of the B spec makes it even easier to not pay attention yet still get high enough to get to the grinding levels of picking up cash easily.

Hi fellow snails,

I will be having my ''MID WEEK JAM'' night tomorrow for all those interested. i will have a banner tomorrow when ready so watch this space.
Can't wait to test new combos with my usual partners in crime.

At a minimum there is a 4 second difference between SS n RH in favor of SS.
With RH, it is ridiculous what P.D. has done. It's llike driving on Comfort tires.

RH
: The car is nearly undrivable. Under braking it is very unstable & unpredictable. It will do a 360 nearly, coming out of almost any turn. Nearly impossible to accelerate out of turns.

SS: No where is it the same as RH. Very stable, predictable, and solid grip. Can accelerate as one should with great braking.

I will predict 30+ IRs just with this combo on RH due to its unpredictability, instability, and nearly uncontrollable tendencies.

In summary, the cat is nearly impossible to drive on RH, let alone drive/race with other cars in its vicinity. While on SS it is "safe" and (imo) probably very fun to race with.

Yep. "Djent" is onomatopoeia for the heavy guitar sounds used by bands like Chimp Spanner of Meshuggah, usually really low tunings and 7 or 8 string guitars. It's also been adopted as the name of a whole Genre. Thanks, Obama.

Them silly young hipster kids. *shakes fist*

*goes back to listening to Animals as Leaders*

AaL is what got me liking that style of guitar playing. HUGE fan.

Finished reviewing my 13 IR's this week. Only 2.5 hours - nice.

Reminder when filing: Look from the accused driver's perspective. Look from your perspective. Look from trailing driver's perspectives. Sometimes things happen that are not the fault of the accused. Many things go into it. Please look (without anger, or unfair predisposition, when possible) from several angles and try to fairly evaluate what went on from several angles.

If there is an issue other than personal bile, then, please, file it.

Leaving StewardMode, reentering back to DadMode

(Time to register for more events - got "Green Light" from the wife! Boo Yah!)

At least in the RUF I could make it manageable by turning down the steering sensitivity. That doesn't seem to help the Ford at all.

I took a spin. Yeah, it's a semi-handful. We've had harder to handle cars. This may be one of those "war of attrition" combos - You can earn many of your passes by driving at 85% and staying on the track.

Personal spin: Maybe with lower PP cars there would be less of a (tire) spin with this...

"And on That Bombshell"... I'm at my 3 year point in SNAIL this week.

:gtpflag: :gtpflag: :gtpflag:    👍 👍 👍

Goodnight, and good luck.

My only piece of advice for the Ford GT. Quit driving it on sports soft tires and start learning to drive it on race hards. That's what it's going to be on come Sunday and that's what everybody should get used to. If it's not liked, it can be voted off.

This car in particular was brought to my attention when the tire regulations were changed and it was tested extensively. It is a different drive on race tires as opposed to sports tires but it's nowhere near impossible to driver. You just have to find the limits of what it will do with the race tires on it.

I will not offer up my personal take on it because nobody cares what my personal take is and I will not give any advice that I may have to give based on my testing of the car on the race tires and the sports tires.

Actually, I'm pretty sure some people do care what your personal take is. Not everybody here is so self-centered that they have no desire to listen to others' opinions; such as mine to point out I think it's complete garbage that you seem to have valuable information about how to handle the car based on your experience, but refuse to share. Isn't learning and progression the whole point of all this? SMH
