Whoow, been a busy day. Worked on some more upgrades to my man cave. feeling a bit more "feng shui" than the turned over cabinet. Got the desktop from a buddy who for some reason didn't have any of the bottom wood. So I threw something together and got it up and looking decent. A few more pieces need to be added here and there for functionality and support, but it is nice and solid as is. Check it out.
The old "desk." Spent a lot of hours gaming on this. I already have my monitor and a few other things pulled off, getting ready to put the new desk in.

And here is the new hotness.

All that said, I am getting up and getting set up, which should go much smoother tonight. Should be ready to start streaming Sunday as well. Good times. See ya guys shortly in the practice room.
Looks Great!!

As the co-series director for the Wednesday SNAIL Race Car Series, I'm happy to congratulate @aerolite and @McTrucker for taking the series Team Championship this past season.

With the above comes the announcement that we are once again accepting applications for new drivers to join the fun. If your looking for something to do on Wednesdays, please check out the thread for the Wednesday Race Car Series and sign up in the thread. The next season starts next week on 8/12/15 and would love to have some quality SNAILS join the fun. Space is limited so if your interested, don't delay.

If you have any questions about the Race Car Series , please let me know. Hope to see you on the track.

Regards, Grim and Zii

I have a question for my fellow racers.

Did everyone find the Sierra Time Rally events as fun as I did? It's the one part of GT6 that I enjoyed the most when not racing online. I'm bummed that I can't repeat them to earn credits, and that there hasn't been any new events in a long time. I guess I wonder if every one else thought it was an enjoyable feature of GT6 that they would like to see featured in GT7?

I had fun with them, and now that I think of it, I think Sierra may have been a go at what we may see from the Course Creator. The scenery is somewhat generic, with some bridges here and there, but for the most part, the environment looks somewhat generated. I think it served as a test from PD for the Course Creator.

I guess what I liked was the discipline required to win. No bumping, ramming, or going off track; and you still had to be somewhat fast. It was the closest thing to Snail racing in my opinion. Clean, smooth driving paid off. I guess I'll trade generic surroundings for authenticity any day.

I'd still appreciate other opinions on the Sierra events. Are they good or bad? Would you like to see more stuff like them?

Greetz from Amsterdam

Our start time for Sunday night racing is 9:30 EST which looks like would put your start time around 3:30 in the morning! Does that work for you?

I loved the regenerating cars of the sierra's. A lot of the other offline racing your in the lead by lap 2 and have nothing to do for 3 laps.

Does anyone save the replays from either of the practice rooms? Do you upload them?
I'm betting @TomMang_68 and @singlepaddy have some replays you could use.

How bout it gents? Help brntguy out with some replay upload goodness. Upload 'em to the root public folder and he can download them from there.

As a matter of fact, I think I'll make a special folder there just for that purpose.

Stand by to stand by.

Edit; Someone please tell me what that link takes you to. Thanks.

I too enjoyed the Sierra Time Rally events for much of the same reasons. Plus, in the final rally, where it was raining, the AI was a bit different. Some of the cars would speed up and make you work for the pass. I'd like to see more time trials like this but with some kind of replay ability value added instead of just a one time and done play.

It takes you to the "ForVideoReproduction" folder under the Public Uploads folder.

Thanks for the good times last night red room. It was great getting back into the mix. Need some practice on the rhythm sections but it felt good to be on track again. I am looking forward to Sunday, and I hope the room is as stable as it was last night. Probably one of the longest sessions I've been a part of with no issues on GT6.

Sierra Rally events? I wish their were more. Better yet, I wish you could just set up a race with the endless cars like that, with a bit more variation in AI (maybe some that drive a bit faster). There are a number of cars I want to take around that track. Someday... maybe... I wish PD may, I wish PD might.... gives us that GD track maker you effing twerps!

PS: Yes, I do love the Sierra events. Just to clarify.
