I think the 668 penalty points handed out in one night of races proves this isn't an acceptable course for us to run. It's slightly over 6% of all of the penalties handed out in SNAIL. I don't believe we should have to change the regs just so we can run one track. IMHO if I were on probation there is no way that I would race there. The risks don't outweigh the rewards. You of all people should be looking at it this way.

Edit only 19 races weren't penalized.

It wasn't hours. It was more like days. It took a steward roughly four hours to watch both Ascari races from every driver per division. We had 8 divisions at that time so 32 man hours and nothing is even scored yet. Once that was done, the stewards had to review and score each IR. As the summary states, there were 381 reviews completed that week. Figure in the time to download all the replays and transfer them to the PS3 and then watch and score them all and the time put in was more than it was worth to run the combo.

The rules have already been relaxed from the white line as there are no rumble strips there. Stay off the grass, simple as that. 19 people did it.

as for letting up on regulations that would not be the point of snail now would it?
 
I'll go with Twin Ring Motegi Road Course as the new track for the Supra GT500.

I know, obvious choice for a Super GT car. But it's a favorite track of mine. And it hasn't been used in a while, according to the combo history sheet.

As an additional request, would it be possible to hold the race at night? Or will we just be leaving it at the default time?
 
I love that track as well! And night racing would be great since it has nice lighting areas but we can't. Practice room up in a minute because need to race something

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. It may be difficult to coordinate setting the time and time progression between each division.

Actually it's not the time set resets at the start of every session. So if you set the room for 6am then look at the clock in the corner at the start of qualifying and both races it will always read 6 am.
 
Data for Division 4 has been completed. Top step of the podium goes to Die_Birdy_Die. Onyx58 and BKM-540 round out the podium finishes. Good racing all around and a warm welcome to our newest Division Racers.

It sounds interesting. I've been looking to get into long-distance racing. How does it work though? I saw "4x24h" which I assume to be four 24 hour rounds. Is that the general idea, and how do teams work?

I was part of that Steward Massacre ...I wasn't feeling all that well and ONLY did 50 or so......and all I had to do was confirm the first Steward's findings which meant I had to download the races....note the timestamp for each (of many) incidents, confirm the violation and then find the next one.... ad infinitum ad nauseum. Great fun.

Thanks a lot ice man LOL...I just noticed the guy picked this combo and didn't even race it. His name doesn't show up in the list of penalties or the list of racers that raced between the lines .....

That was a nice how do you do. It's like, "have the worst combo ever, as far as the stewards are concerned, and I won't even show up to race it."

Well guys and gals, I think it's time for me to step back into the shadows a bit. I haven't raced in GT6 since GTA didn't allow us, and have found it tough to even keep track of the thread lately. I might linger a bit from time to time, but the free time I do have will be spent in P Cars, DiRT Rally, and working on my 1:18 scale collection (already at 50 cars......sorry wallet).

SNAIL has been the best racing community I've been a part of, and it will serve as the benchmark next time I do get into some serious online racing again. It's been tons of fun racing along side some great racers, you guys have built an incredible community. Hopefully I will race against more of you in the future, hopefully Robbie on the real track one day.

Keep on doin what you're doin guys. @zer05ive @Rednose58 @Dragonwhisky @JLBowler @nmcp1 @CoachMK21 and the entire group in Team SNAIL, thank you guys for the tireless efforts.
